Well it's true, I recently unlocked the FIAT 6614 and it absoluteley does the job, I love it and feel accomplished. That's not the problem. The problem is I have to do that another 30-40 times before I get my juicy Ariete!
It's true tho, when I got the F-5E(my first top tier jet), I was very happy about it and even proud too because I didnt own any top tier premium vehicles or even premium times. All i did was just spam F-104A and A-4E. To get SL, I'll just spam the premium France P-39Q i get from the battlepass for free. I was level 70 around i got it.
I totally agree with this in principle, but when they allow anyone to buy a 70 dollar pack and immediately play in top tier matches it does not sit right 💀

Mex$ IL-2 Great Battles somehow has it figured out. You buy a pack (that costs as much as one WT toptier pack) with 10 detailed vehicles, two campaigns and maps and you can play them as long as you would like, no grind, no pain.
Nevermind the fact that IL2 does a lot of discounts during the year, and that every plane has good Fidelity, the damage model is way better than Wt and the learning curve is a lot scalable

GHPC launched on steam, they have been playing it on and off ever since, the only reason they don't do it more often is because it does not have multiplayer yet. I think there is something to be said about letting some one do what they want in a game without a ridiculous grind wall or hiding it behind 70 dollar vehicle packs.

I’ve been playing for a couple years. I spent 4 months on the US ground tree and only that. I got up to rank 4 when it came to research, but I was still stuck with one or two vehicles at rank 3 because I couldn’t afford anything. Same issue when I tried Germany, Russia and every other nation. You can kinda grind out tier one and two somewhat quickly, but after that the rp becomes a slog, and getting SL to buy vehicles is even worse, because the money you get from a battle is almost negated by repair costs, especially for newer players who aren’t getting 8+ kills a game
CSGO. PUBG. DOTA. Gaijin just likes money. Anything they say that seems like a lie makes sense when you think of it in terms of maximizing money rather than anything related to the game.
You know when you have like 9 nations with 2/3 tech trees each, there is a plenty of content to grind. With current tempo of my grind, after 10 years, to research everything In the game, I would need another 25 years. Doesn't sound optimistic
I dont mind high tier premiums as long as they set it up so that for example you can purchase a rank 4 premium when you have unlocked rank 4 not when you have not played your first match.

The only reason I got the A-6 is because I like the A-6. Not to get a free way to grind through literally 2 planes. (Both the F-16) and I barely even play the F-16. I just play the F-14 because 1: it’s really good (especially with the F-14B coming in the next update) and 2: The Final Countdown is a cinematic masterpiece and the F-14 is my fav plane because of it.
Its so stupid because there are MANY nations in the game but it takes you thousands of hours to research only one nation even with premium. I've also bough ka-50 and cant research helis without pain. I mean even being stronk I get like 2-3k rp per game if nobody takes down my heli. Premium tanks is bullshit because you have just one tank in setup which is premium and you should stay alive for the whole game to really get all benefits from a premium tank. That's definitely very fair when you pay for shit in the game!

I'm not saying it's easy, PvE is bugged as hell also but you have better chances to grind there. You could do only points capture and get plenty of points (remember to go and land on a helipad base after capturing) It doesn't matter how many kills you get.

Gaijin is basically going to have to recreate the entire game's economy and do a 180⁰ flip from the direction they were going while still making it so that they can make money themselves, and on top of that they even said it themselves that they don't think they fully understand what the best course of action would be, so yeah it's going to take a hot minute. Economy is extremely complicated, and I'd imagine that they're also going to take their time so that they can get it as right as they possibly can as to not have another giant wave of backlash against them. I can live with the economy, mostly cause I main 5.3-6.7 germany with no shame. People seem to forget that this is a free 2 play game. The payment model they came up with is essentially relying upon whales and other people to fund everything. So it shouldn't really be a surprise when the economy is a literal korean MMO grindfest that forces people to the cash shop if they value their time and effort moreso then money.
I feel bad for you, the fate of 6.7 Germany when constantly facing cold war tanks with lolpen potential making everything German (which is still mostly ww2 at that point and very armour heavy) borderline useless is not enjoyable - for me anyway
@@Sipsy301 I do alright in my Tiger 2 105 -- still maintaining a 65% win rate and 2 to 1 KDR. Just need to take it slow and let the enemy make the mistakes by being overly aggressive and getting out of position.
@@Zombie1Boy I tend to be in a normal Tiger 2(H) and I quite literally cannot make it into a position to sit and wait because everything is faster than me, whilst in the occasions I do get into position it's then still a 50/50 because my positioning (often prioritising armour) is irrelevant to cold war munitions. I quite literally no longer play GRB at all because of it.
@@Sipsy301 You won't make the first wave of enemies, no. It is the second and third waves that will be your bread and butter. An easy trick I like to do is set up in a decent position and cut my engines -- nobody knows I'm there until I shoot and I can hear exactly where the enemy is coming from due to the excellent sound design. Then you can either wait for someone to walk into your line of sight or if you spot someone in 3rd person you can then start up and ambush him from around the corner. Ideally you want to engage your enemies from the flank so you don't have to worry about aiming too much at someone head-on. Best spots to take up are those unassuming positions that give you long angled looks across the field of battle so you can pick off enemies rushing to where they think the fight is. Since your slow you'll also need some amount of patience to wait for your enemy to make a mistake. If they don't know your there then the chances they'll blunder into your line of sight for an easy kill increases exponentially.

Armour is excellent as long as your brain can think about more than just "press W", also no point in relying on armour cuz you always shoot first, if not you suck. ITA Pershing + ShermanoJackson is also top quality if you want ez games. Edit: Very aggressive playstyle on the 1st line. 3-5+ KD on avg, depends on game.

Gaijin is basically going to have to recreate the entire game's economy and do a 180⁰ flip from the direction they were going while still making it so that they can make money themselves, and on top of that they even said it themselves that they don't think they fully understand what the best course of action would be, so yeah it's going to take a hot minute. Economy is extremely complicated, and I'd imagine that they're also going to take their time so that they can get it as right as they possibly can as to not have another giant wave of backlash against them. Just chill out dude

I can live with the economy, mostly cause I main 5.3-6.7 germany with no shame.
People seem to forget that this is a free 2 play game. The payment model they came up with is essentially relying upon whales and other people to fund everything. So it shouldn't really be a surprise when the economy is a literal korean MMO grindfest that forces people to the cash shop if they value their time and effort moreso then money.
I feel bad for you, the fate of 6.7 Germany when constantly facing cold war tanks with lolpen potential making everything German (which is still mostly ww2 at that point and very armour heavy) borderline useless is not enjoyable - for me anyway
@@Sipsy301 I do alright in my Tiger 2 105 -- still maintaining a 65% win rate and 2 to 1 KDR. Just need to take it slow and let the enemy make the mistakes by being overly aggressive and getting out of position.
@@Zombie1Boy I tend to be in a normal Tiger 2(H) and I quite literally cannot make it into a position to sit and wait because everything is faster than me, whilst in the occasions I do get into position it's then still a 50/50 because my positioning (often prioritising armour) is irrelevant to cold war munitions.
I quite literally no longer play GRB at all because of it.
@@Sipsy301 You won't make the first wave of enemies, no. It is the second and third waves that will be your bread and butter.
An easy trick I like to do is set up in a decent position and cut my engines -- nobody knows I'm there until I shoot and I can hear exactly where the enemy is coming from due to the excellent sound design. Then you can either wait for someone to walk into your line of sight or if you spot someone in 3rd person you can then start up and ambush him from around the corner.
Ideally you want to engage your enemies from the flank so you don't have to worry about aiming too much at someone head-on. Best spots to take up are those unassuming positions that give you long angled looks across the field of battle so you can pick off enemies rushing to where they think the fight is.
Since your slow you'll also need some amount of patience to wait for your enemy to make a mistake. If they don't know your there then the chances they'll blunder into your line of sight for an easy kill increases exponentially.
@@Sipsy301 G'day KT H/105 main here. The best and most fun deck you can get. Uptier?, 105 and ez 1 shots, 6.7 or down, take H for faster reaload. Armour is excellent as long as your brain can think about more than just "press W", also no point in relying on armour cuz you always shoot first, if not you suck. ITA Pershing + ShermanoJackson is also top quality if you want ez games.
Edit: Very aggressive playstyle on the 1st line. 3-5+ KD on avg, depends on game.
