    "Club face is King" I love that! That helps me to understand the priority you put in your teaching on this lesson. After watching loads of your videos I have to say you truly have a great understanding of the golf swing far beyond I ever thought about. You're truly helping me, thank you!

    Club face is king. I just recently strengthened my grip which pretty much took the right side of a faraway out of play. My last three rounds 76,74,74. Before that low to mid 80's.

    I tell you what, my body just moves automatically depended on what that face is doing on the backswing, it doesn't matter what i m thinking i am doing but my micro computer in my head takes over and swings with what i did with the club face..... loved this

    You shallow great and have a square clubface so how are you producing a fade shape? I have been conditioned that a draw is the holy grail/mark of a better swing. No?

    • @jchowngolf
      @jchowngolf  Год назад +1

      All you need is a club face open to your club path to fade the ball. That can Ben done with both a shallow shaft and square face to the arc

  • @steveothemagician3001
    @steveothemagician3001 Год назад +1

    that is one thing I took to the bank last year watching your videos- SQUARE that club face on backswing. It works!! the thing I'm working on now is staying through the ball and not leaning back slightly. It takes practice, practice practice. No short cut to a good golf swing. JC you are one of the best in explaining the golf swing.

  • @UncleNewy1
    @UncleNewy1 Год назад +1

    I notice that your head position at impact is now way more looking towards target rather than ball.
    Is that something that just came from the swing change, or you have done it knowingly?

    • @jchowngolf
      @jchowngolf  Год назад +2

      A bit of both. More came from freer rotation, plus having worked on the head swivel to help my chest rotation

    @neckupfitness3274 Год назад +1

    The clubface in both looks the same at the top of your backswing.....you did lower the slot and it looks to have made the impact more consistent. I think we put too much emphasis on the "backswing" and where the club face is. It does have to square up, and the timing element is all about the body rotation and forearm rotation.....just my opinion! Lol! You have a wonderful swing and your scores definitely say you know what you are talking about! I just observed what I observed! Love your stuff for sure.

    • @jchowngolf
      @jchowngolf  Год назад +1

      The club face isn’t the same in both swings, one is open, one is square. The backswing is incredibly important which is one of the main messages from the video
