so in case you're actually wondering why ikea packaging doesn't say what it actually is alongside the name, it's because that way they don't have to make separate packaging for items in different countries. the item names and numbers are the same worldwide, so that way the items can get packaged at the same factory they're made at and ikea saves some costs (and time). For anyone actually considering buying the IKEA gear, from someone who bought it recently: Its really good actually. Me and my room mate bought 2 of the non-standing version of the desk. As I play mostly CSGO and other FPS games when I swiped my mouse my monitor arm would shake with the desk but the IKEA one doesn't move an inch. As much as I like the standing version and looked at it in store, the extra $350 for it really wasn't worth it when the regular version has height adjust anyway. Most people will have the back of the chair pointed away from them as they're attaching the arms, so the "Left" arm would be to your right and the "Right" arm would be to your left.

I know a few canadians who got really good att swedish, Linus is canadian right? Somehow my experience made me think there must be some hidden similarities between the canadian accent and swedish or something because they got good so fast… or maybe they were just fast learners
@@Shmynkellbonkenstein OK so taking the fun out of this... Language comes very naturally to some and a lot less so to others. It helps if your birth language is similar to the one you are trying to learn, but if it's to close you often end up just speaking the new language with a very hard accent. I'm from Sweden and a classmate of mine was born in the UK but had almost no accent I could detect. I kind of assumed he had lived here for a long time and was very surprised when I learned that the family moved to Sweden less than a year earlier, and he hadn't known any Swedish before that. We were 17 at the time... At the same time the school cafeteria was run by a man from Turkey who had lived here for more than fifteen years. His accent was so bad I had a hard time understanding him. I attribute that in part to probably having some damage to my hearing even back then. Operating heavy construction equipment and some really loud machinery since I turned 12 and often skimping on the hearing protection probably didn't help. Yes I knew it was probably bad, but at that age you are still "immortal". Thing is that even though this man had lived here for so long, and worked in the service industry where he had to talk to people every day his accent was still so brutal I often had to ask him to repeat himself. Not everyone has the same affinity for language. For instance I have known several people form the UK that moved to Sweden and my school mate is the only one that picked up the language that completely and quickly, and has the least accent of them all. Yea I know. YT posts in a thread like this should be light hearted and fun, and absolutely should not a wall of text. So sue me...
@@Shmynkellbonkenstein Ya, Linus and the gang are Canadian. When I lived back home, I never met anyone that spoke Swedish. I've lived in the US (Arizona) for many years and I've unfortunately not met anyone that speaks Swedish here either. Makes it a lot harder to learn and impossible to practice.

Most people will have the back of the chair pointed away from them as they're attaching the arms, so the "Left" arm would be to your right and the "Right" arm would be to your left.
When your boss tells you "You have a bright future as an ikea furniture assembly lady" I think that means you are fired lol
Its not that deep.

Looks like everyone had a lot of fun filming this, very enjoyable. And the ikea stuff doesnt look half bad

Hello checkmark
IKEA exists for college kids and kids who got their first house and need some kind of furniture and nothing more. If you’re older than 26 you have failed at life if you are shopping for ikea kids furniture.
@@Brodozer39 you have no idea what you're talking about
@@Brodozer39 So I'm 27 and I can't afford 100k $ table. It makes me failure in life right?
The best Tool for assembling Ikea furniture is a "Folding Table"! Getting up off the floor cuts the time in half.
Gotta turn the torque down on the drill too. Not hard to strip out MDF.
The way Madison showed up in the middle of this with messy bun and sleeves rolled up just shining with "group-mom" energy was my favorite part. 😂😂😂🦾
I love that Linus just is flashing all his employees now
36 OSHA violations, two instances of sexual innuendo, and one of dropping trou. That's actually family-show quality by today's standards!
guess Canada is more liberal....in the USA the #metoo movement would have already called a SWAT team for that ;)
Madison vs Linus will never get old
“The accounting department do taxes” Linus says whilst smiling like he has done tax fraud.
Maddison got massive plus points for wearing a black label shirt 🤟
exactly my thoughts... props to Madison 😀
this is the first time I have seen Serge, and I am all about this dude. He is too cool and knows his shit and you can tell he thinks in a practical way about how he executes a task.
👍
Indeed. More Serge, please.
Seeing madison is makes us happy.

"You have a bright future as an IKEA assembly lady" Linus trying to get rid of Madison lol
ahhaahahaahaha she no fun for him but we love her :)
I always enjoy watching Linus!
14:30 Now that part is simply wonderful. Linus behaving like a spoiled child while Alex tries to explain stuff like a patient dad.
14:55 "But I like that thing"
Linus getting merch ideas with the matching desk and floor matts 🤣

As a Swede, kinda funny to hear Linus try pronounce Swedish names and words. You almost got it Linus!
As a part Swede who has been learning Swedish, I have to agree with you! 😉
@@blahorgaslisk7763 don’t worry, I am something of a ”wall of texter” myself…
@@Shmynkellbonkenstein Ya, Linus and the gang are Canadian. When I lived back home, I never met anyone that spoke Swedish. I've lived in the US (Arizona) for many years and I've unfortunately not met anyone that speaks Swedish here either. Makes it a lot harder to learn and impossible to practice.
I like watching Linus work on these group projects! It's great to see the other staff and I love how much they all enjoy working together!
I’ve installed dozens of those 9PX units. The setup is incredible and it looks great. Huge warning though: the battery expansion port is not covered. You can, quite easily, shock yourself on it. #feelsgreat

That moment the 40 oz bottle fit, the look on his face is priceless

I'm surprised some labour oversight agency hasn't paid them a visit yet

More of Serge from logistics and about his logistical woes.
Serge from LTT here with an epic cardboard box teardown and disposal.
First we tear the box into smaller more compact pieces and then we throw it in the recycling dumpster.
This show brought to you by our sponsor: the LTT store boxcutter
Given this was the first time we've seen him on camera (that I remember), he did very well and I have a feeling with some expriance he could be a good recurring personality.
I like the ”stig upp, gå med i republiken” touch you did in the intro, actually awesome🤓
As a Swede I really enjoy these IKEA videos and the pronunciation of Swedish names... 😃
_"Lanspelare"_ = _LAN Player._
_"Stig upp. Gå med i Republiken." = Get up. Join the Republic._
"Lanspelare" was just them butchering "Lånespelare" though, which is "loan player" as in sports. Always a joy watching people struggle with IKEA names, lol.
It so fun..

I have that gray desk! Working great so far, got it from their discount section. It's nice and wide, holds my monitors and coaster, with enough room on the end for a cat bed. Damn that use of allen keys in a drill sounds like a brilliant idea.
They make sets of drill bits for exactly this purpose. In fact so much so, for about $12 USD you'll never have to use a manual allen key ever again.
