wow in many modern games they have the graphics next to you really good but at all you have a very low view range with the effect that you dont really feel inside the game world. but in this game expecally at this map you have a rally large view which give the feeling go me i really missed a long time at newer games that you are really in this world there! I play this game almost daily and it never stops amazing me how great it looks. Playability wise it's second to none, I've never played a game before that really makes me feel like a racing driver the way pcars does, added to the fantastic sim handling for me it's very nearly the perfect racing game.
It looks great but I'd argue about photo-realistic. Both Forza 7 and GT Sport looks more "photo realistic", despite the possibly lower texture quality or anything else. PCARS2 looks sharp as fuck, with all the effects built in, but easily distinguishable as a game.
Some cars like this Ferrari, the Indy car, among others..., by making a curve a little faster, starts to leave a lot of smoke from the tyres as if it was on fire, and that does not exist in reality, then need to correct this urgently in the next update!!!
I recently got a wheel and am practicing on Assetto. It takes a while to get used to FFB settings and using a wheel instead of controllers. G29 has been great for me so far with wheel stand pro.
Wouldn't bother getting any VR yet for this on console. As far as I know, there is little know about support. As for GT Sport, that only supports 1v1 racing on a select few tracks, aka, gimmick tech demo.

Difficulty was set to 35 I think, quite difficult to overtake everyone in 2 laps if I set it any higher, the AI can be painfully fast if the difficulty is high, so for anyone concerned about their speed, don't be.
this game its not easy, i put on manual or realistic, almost everything, (play with controller) and its hard! and the AI from 45 to 48. I can tell u, they race you every lap.
Looks amazing! Sounds pretty good, but think it may still sound a little flat, but similar to PC1 which isn't a bad thing. Was hoping for RaceRoom sounds :) Love the cockpit view looks really good. Great to see the rear view still picks up the smoking tires from your car too. Nice vids!

P cars 1 and p cars2 was a bit like gt5 prologue followed by gt5. Way more content on the latter game. Using a pad on the first game is tricky, much better on 2 but with a wheel it's brilliant. I play pc2 on my laptop at low settings and it's still such a great experience with a wheel... and I love being able to race so many different categories. My favourite car is the Porsche 911 gt3 24h edition.. handles beautifully around the last series of corners at le mans. If you have a good computer then the graphics are truly stunning, especially the realistic puddles that follow the contours of the road.
@Yeh Jesse - That's not heavy rain. That's the start of a normal rain, and it was for less than a minute. Completely dry tracks don't become wet that quickly in real life.

Assetto corsa is definitely the console standard now there's no denying that and mods definitely aren't needed to enjoy it,does it add a ton of new cars and tracks sure but what were are talking about is realism and GT SPORT doesn't have that,I can't deny that GT SPORT will outsell every other racing game though even if it doesn't really deserve to.
This game is like a mixture of GTS and FM7 graphics wise. Sometimes looks like GTS and sometimes like the latter. The bouncy physics.... I have played some sims like s2u and race07, cars dont bounce *that* much. Its a bit worrying. Other than that, solid game. Just hope that the physics wont be that weird like pcars1.

If you want to showoff graphics willow springs it's like a desert flat Land, try nurburgring, lemans, fuji, long beach, suzuka. This game has plenty of tracks. And Lear to drive that was too aggressive, like GT sport aggressive
PCARS1 is the reason why pre-ordering PCARS2 is a bad idea. If you are in the preview group and satisfied with the game no problem. For me, it's a wait.

I think the light-rays in the car cabin is a little over done. Unless the air was really dusty inside the car it wouldn't be that pronounced.

I think the developers made the cars as balanced as possible, because the Z4s and the SLS AMGs keep up with the 488s and the Vantages
