I just love her.. I watched many of her interviews and the way she speaks.. I can listen for hours. She has got such a great insight into life. I'm actually looking forward to reading her book. I bet it would be an amazing experience to learn more about her
Brilliant book. Many elements are positive reminders while many other elements are super new aspects. The tone of the book is like E. P.'s sharing being interview vibes including informative and charismatic genres.
I really appreciated those final words from Evvy about basically not feeling as if you have to do something other than just living a simple life. Society sometimes looks down on people for this.
I love living a simple life but it’s very hard nowadays. I wish it was more normalized and encouraged. Then maybe the disparities wouldn’t be so severe
She is correct about ending things if you’re being disrespected, same goes for being abused. I know so many people who are too afraid to leave. It’s sad. A better life can only be accomplished by leaving.
Lol it's not just the fear, there are almost no shelters for DV and even fewer for those with special needs or Tech abuse specifically happening to them. 😂 What do you know about the barriers exactly? NOTHING.
Errrm, you know that when a woman is leaving an abusive relationship, it is the time she is most likely to be killed? About half killed by current male partners, the other half after leaving them (most being killed within the first three to twelve months of leaving). It is not about the woman's lack of self respect, most have a genuine and very valid fear of what he will do if she tries to leave. Even the cops are wary of turning up to a DV call, and they are often armed. But you want an unarmed woman, usually smaller, less strong, to what?
You are actually falling for her. She was part of the secret service. They have to be great at pretending and make people feel what you are actually feeling. They are trained to do it so They can be one step ahead of you.
Autistics listen more than talk because we so often get something wrong and don't know what or why. Then the whole eye contact thing we are pegged as "something is off" just as she says. Be sincere, but not like THAT.
First time hearing her speak and I like her! Honorable character. Genuinely REAL as it gets. Not once in my life have I ever thought, "how can I get this person to like me?" lol. Never been one to try to get in where I can fit in. Thank you Evy!
Lewis,he is so intelligent, down to earth, and simple. Asks all the questions, that most people will dodge, because they might think people will relate it to them as asking personal question, that then need answers to for their own problems themselves. Love you Lewis. Thank you, thank you, thank you again and again.
Feel like people always spill their secrets to me. And since they use to go deeper than what they perhaps intended they regret and even sometimes either avoid me entirely or opposite; try to (mis)use me as emotional support. So consciously I try avoid asking questions where they are prone to open up. But being understanding and not very actively prying ironically make people open up even more.
Those aspects of you that attract people to talk can be gifts that you can really use for a good career path if you wanted it. My son is very level headed and good listener and finally wound up as a therapist for kids. Took it all the way to a Masters degree and is making a good career. It's not a weakness but rather a strength!
I feel the same. I was taught to be a people pleaser, to always "behave like a lady", to "be nice" to everyone, to smile at everyone....no matter who the person is, no matter what they do to me. I had to learn by fire: being married for 17+ yrs to a violent dangerous alcoholic. He died after 17+ yrs together. So now i'm able to look back at the lessons I learned.
Evy! Your facial bone structure will keep you young forever! More importantly, this interview is a keeper! I will listen again & again, as it is info-packed, a lot to retain! Thanks!!!
My takeaway was to stop chasing the desire of wanting people to like and respect you. Set your boundaries and be genuine and you’ll create an organic relationship with mutual respect. Hey Lewis I got my plane ticket for L.A. … can you get my ticket for me ??? 😅😆
I feel reset, recharge, refueled & unstoppable every time I listen and watch her speak. The conviction and bulletproof approach she brings to the table, makes you realise again and again. If she can grow and develop to where she has reach in life, so can I. Decision.Commitment.Displine. Persevere🎯
I’m taking notes so I can practice … I wish I had known this about human behavior years ago. Some component of this should be taught in high schools. In advanced classes, all of it. Every job, even every single relationship we have/will have is dependent on what she is saying. PURE GOLD. Thank you!
My father demanded that I LIE to him because he wanted to believe or live in a fantasy of my brother and me, specifically. He wanted us to always be “happy” in our lives. He didn’t care at all if it were true. The objective when talking to or seeing him was to make HIM feel better. He saw us as extensions of himself and he didn’t want to live in a world that didn’t appear “perfect.” The saddest thing about my relationship with him when he passed was knowing that he never loved me for who I actually was…he really loved and actually appreciated MY LIE. If I ever treaded on TRUTH or REALITY, it enraged him if it was disappointing or contrary to his PERFECTION FANTASY. I was taught to lie about who I am to make others feel better. I’m very good at analyzing what makes others happy. It’s so strange.
Sorry you went through that! He was doing the best he could with the "imprinting" he received from his parents. If you want to integrate that trauma so you can be free and also not pass it on if you have kids, "The Presence Process" by Michael Brown will work ❤
15min in and it’s so obvious, Always been good at identifying situations. Maybe it’s because I pay attention & maybe it’s because I spent so many years behind a bar. Lots of opportunities to learn.
I know when my sister lies and I know when she has said something she shouldn’t have by her body language. I would NEVER tell her how I know because she would learn to change it 🤨
There is some really good advice here...I can see how some of this applies to intentionally parenting your children with love. I really appreciate this stuff!!!❤
Hi Lewis, I love your videos. I have to tell you I found this book called The 21 Former Doctor Secrets, where she talks about lies behind health industry, would really suggest to read it.
It's always inspirational that there's people out there that are real, both of you are real and always yourself. My phrase is YOU BE YOU!! And you you do. Great interview!!!!
I already remember something my Mom once told me as a child (continuing on from Evys child), and she said, "I always know when you've had a bad day I can read you like a book." And that was the first worst thing she could have possibly said because then I thought I don't want to be read like a book, and then my mind went straight to what I should do to be less readable. If she hadn't said anything, she'd be able to still read me, but because she did, my mind went to now I've got to hide the real me.
She was trying to help you adjust. You are her child. She was letting you be able to hide your emotions from the world, hopefully she was on your side. Everyone else not so much.
Scary as a parent how an innocent statement like that could lead to such a response. Not sure the context, depends on the attitude that was with it, but it sounds to me just an emphasis on how close our relationship is. It doesnt sound like a general criticism. I guess it reminds us as parents to add some positive spin whenever we point out something critical. But that's hard to always do on the fly because we often get into "advice mode" easily without thinking that "this could have a bigger effect than I'm intending unless I condition it very carefully."
@mhzprayer there was no attitude. No mean vibes or nothing just that as soon as she said that I thought I didn't want to be read that easily and if she could read me easily and wanted to continue doing that my common sense agrees with Evy you haven't got to mention it.
So funny, think Evi confirmed for me why a certain political person became popular and gets away with saying what he says. Can’t believe the actual substance of the conversation doesn’t matter so much! Wow, so interesting! Thank you
I am still at 50yo, trying to unlearn my childhood-instilled "speak only when you're spoken to" mentality, wherein, i only speak/spoke to someone, only if/when someone speaks to me, first. In that, for me, one of the most difficult things for me to remember to do is actually ask someone (to whom in speaking) about him/herself. And this comes across as me being selfish, all about me. But I may realllyyyy want to know about the person; but I'm still trying to get around that basic "speak only when spoken to" conditioning.
Incredible interview she has a powerful energy , she proyect confidence and encourage to normal people like me , thank you so much for having her , i loved this woman personallity , she has so much to give and teach in this world
I always trust my intuition if a person feels off i take notice always it doesnt matter how you look either if i have that feeling about someone i take notice .
Evy I enjoy listening to you, you are so authentic , and being a psychologist and Police officer , SSA, I really think you are a great role model for everyone, I suggest you make a doll like "barbe" but with your face and write books for children, boys and girls, to teach them how to fight, whom ot fight, , how to be strong, how to be true to yourself, how to become an agent of service to others, I love to see that.
I absolutely love these two humans !! Thank you to both of you . Keep going Lewis . Amazing stuff you are doing my friend! Love and respect to you and yours , from England x🖖👏
Oooh intuition is SO IMPORTANT!! The more you use it - the stronger it gets - like a muscle. Interesting video. Definitely trust your gut when it comes to people.
I've been thinking about most of the topics you've mentioned during this conversation. I'm so happy I listened. You've confirmed many of what my inner voice told me, AND you've cleared up some things I felt confused about. Thank you, both ❤
Lewis your every question is about how you can influence others. You are focused on getting things done with others while she clearly said you need to be geniune when you want to connect with others
41:12 So good to remember! A lot of interviewers get this wrong and steal that vulnerable moment that the other person may be sharing for the first time.
To Connect to people: Be empathetic, ask questions, listen, be warm, be respectful, have compassion, not judgmental, be professional, be your word, show up on time . Don't disagree and don't make everything about yourself. Don't argue with people that are clueless about facts that you know because it's a waste of energy. Have good boundaries at the beginning, then later you create warmth (open, approachable, accessible to talk to).
The ending said it all, thank You to both of You and all the crew as always and keep doing what you find meaning in doing, that's where your amazing work truly shines. Take care Everyone.
Omg! Absolutely correct! I had made a lot of mistakes harmful to myself because I followed the advise "don't judge a book by its cover". After long track of being hurt by terribly bad guys, this is the wise and trustworthy advise, ladies: first, you need to Judge A Book By Its Cover, and let's see where it leads to. (Trust your first impression if it shows that you don't like the person or you aren't interested in him).
Taking notes... * Building a relationship organically in a professional setting through being respectful, professional, warm, approachable, welcoming and empathetic instead of being wanting to like as it is manipulation.
Beautiful said I love how people don,t like you but sometimes you can be compassionate and passionate but some don,t understand the goal and concepts that you would like but you have to have others options and collaborate to see if you have a genuine connection and desire
Cheistmas Eve...and here I am. I really like Lewis. Lewis is genuine and masculine and intellegent and good looking with a nice physique. I was going to find a movie I knee was good and saw Evy as guest and paused here. I like Psycology. I'm a ppl watcher. I often feel people, which is sometimes inconvienient. Lewis is always a great interviewer. You don't feel agenda, you feel interest. Evy can say more in an hour than a class. Going to relisten and take notes of things to ponder. I'm going to save 4 her book. Merry Christmas all... Peace and Contentment ~~
The "getting them to like me" thing, ugh!! If you do this, STOP. It's a disservice to them and it's a disservice to yourself. Especially when you're dating... If you're just trying to get the other person to like you by mirroring them and all their likes to get them to like you, you're lying about who you are, which always has to come out eventually. Then BIG SURPRISE, disconnect happens. Waste of time and feelings get hurt. Be pleasent but be authentic. If it doesnt mesh, it doesnt mesh. That's okay!
Interesting conversation and great tips, thank you very much for sharing! ❤ FYI : The numbers about the verbal and nonverbal communication are only correct when there is NO congruency (Albert Mehrabian). This is misinterpreted very often. When WHAT we say is congruent with the HOW, these numbers don’t work in that order.

You are actually falling for her. She was part of the secret service. They have to be great at pretending and make people feel what you are actually feeling. They are trained to do it so They can be one step ahead of you.
Sometimes ppl don't want to speak because they feel vulnerable.. they aren't lying.. its important to know if it is malicious or not.
It doesnt need to be malicious to cause confusion and pain.
Maybe it depends on the setting. Some people are shy in groups or don't even get a chance to talk.
Knowing their baseline is important I guess
Autistics suffer this misconception all our lives. then the whole eye contact thing......
Autistics listen more than talk because we so often get something wrong and don't know what or why. Then the whole eye contact thing we are pegged as "something is off" just as she says. Be sincere, but not like THAT.

Couldn't agree more
“Self respect matters more”
Damn that hit hard hard
First time hearing her speak and I like her! Honorable character. Genuinely REAL as it gets. Not once in my life have I ever thought, "how can I get this person to like me?" lol. Never been one to try to get in where I can fit in. Thank you Evy!
Her recall memory is amazing,😮all these studies she’s recalling, you got to acknowledge her👏🏾💪🏾
That is what she does. Mostly Everyone have that kind of knowledge about their own field.
I always feel empowered after listening to Evy. Thank you❤
So glad you enjoyed it! Appreciate you for watching.
For sure. She’s awesome
Evy Poumpouras is of a special caliber of human being. I admire her ❤
Absolutely!
I like this woman! So very intelligent, respectable, and genuine. A wonderful role model for all women. ❤ Thank you. I learned a lot.
What a smart and interesting woman. She has an easy lovely voice to listen to as well.

Out of all the lessons, I wish my parents taught me this.
I sent this video to my 18 year old daughter. I was thinking the same thing! ❤️
You can learn it now!
They were too busy lying to you. Why would they teach you about lying
they can't teach U what they don't know themselves

I love service people. I felt a great genuine warmth from Evy❤

Omg she is brilliant! I loved this interview and Evy so much. She is giving great advice but mixed in with warmth. Amazing woman 🤩
Thought provoking. Thank you Evy and Louis for the interesting wisdom that I want to implement into my life
So glad you enjoyed it! Appreciate you for watching.
Thank you Evy for everything you said, there's no such thing as monsters, just us humans and you defined that perfectly ❤
Thank you for tuning in! 🙂
37:49 is a very good reminder about dealing with people and getting frustrated with them. So well said.
What a smart lady. Thank you for the advice.
I always trust my intuition if a person feels off i take notice always it doesnt matter how you look either if i have that feeling about someone i take notice .

Great interview and appreciated. Knowledge is power.

Ditto!
Most insightful, succinct interview that I’ve heard in a long time.
So glad you enjoyed it! Appreciate you for watching.
Oooh intuition is SO IMPORTANT!! The more you use it - the stronger it gets - like a muscle. Interesting video. Definitely trust your gut when it comes to people.
Thank you for watching!
Beyond grateful for being able to watch this. Thank you for sharing the multitude of perspectives you have learned through your experiences.
I can listen to her speech for hours, so insightful, well done with the questions
I've been thinking about most of the topics you've mentioned during this conversation. I'm so happy I listened. You've confirmed many of what my inner voice told me, AND you've cleared up some things I felt confused about. Thank you, both ❤
You're welcome, thank you for watching! 🧡
Evy is an incredible inspirational smart lady. Thank you Lewis 🤗

Love this lady
Beautiful. Things we should know but put in a way we now know...
The ending said it all, thank You to both of You and all the crew as always and keep doing what you find meaning in doing, that's where your amazing work truly shines. Take care Everyone.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching!
I learned this doing customer service. Just listen to people and don’t judge them and don’t agree or disagree. Just listen and engage
Based on experience, the moment you meet someone and you instantly don't like them, pls avoid them. Bec. they will ruin you or will cause you problem.
Omg! Absolutely correct! I had made a lot of mistakes harmful to myself because I followed the advise "don't judge a book by its cover". After long track of being hurt by terribly bad guys, this is the wise and trustworthy advise, ladies: first, you need to Judge A Book By Its Cover, and let's see where it leads to. very insightful, thank you! Evy is incredibly smart and Lewis is such a great interviewer, warm, listening, kind 💫
So glad you enjoyed it! Appreciate you for watching.
Wow. These are lessons i want to remember for life. Thank you Lewis🙏
So glad you enjoyed it! Appreciate you for watching.
Love seeing Evy here again. Another great episode 🙏❤
Thank you so much for your feedback 🙂
"I'm Switzerland " "I don't really get involved" I used to say the same thing in middle school with my friends. Literally
I absolutely love that she drove her dad's minivan, then it went on to her brother.
First time coming across this channel , i am really blessed , thanks so much
Taking notes...
* Building a relationship organically in a professional setting through being respectful, professional, warm, approachable, welcoming and empathetic instead of being wanting to like as it is manipulation.

Yes Ma'am! Tysm Lewis! Cheers!
Fab fab fab, loved listening every word of her, absolute fan now
Glad you enjoyed it!
Is making people feel good being around you and subsequently trust you - isn't that how con artists operate? Great talks. I am going to get her book.
Best interview ever.
