i feel like this is the maturest i've ever seen you. i don't mean that as an insult or anything, i just mean you've matured a ton over the year or so i've watched you, and it's fantastic! it's also inspiring, even though i'm quite a bit older than you. growth is always on the horizon.
In India it's VERY normal to sleep with your parents even like until teenage. The late night talks me an my mum used to have before sleeping were the BEST!!!! Plus when you are an only child , it makes you feel so safe and not alone when you sleep with your parents. I just turned eighteen and my mum has NEVER told me to sleep alone until I said I wanted to do it when I was sixteen. I still nap with my mum somedays because she loves being next to me. And it didn't affect me being "INDEPENDENT" even one bit
I'm from India too and same!! I only started sleeping alone because I wanted too, not because my parents asked me too. I still sleep with then sometimes :)
I appreciate all that you do for yourself and your daughter :) I had a pregnancy scare and i watched some of your videos to help me cope with the fact that i might be pregnant lol. But you're an amazing mom. Keep going :)
I am only one year younger than you and I'm so impressed from your maturity. You're an amazing mom. I don't think I'll be able to deal with all this parenting at your age. So I admire you and wish to stay strong as u now. ❤️❤️❤️
I still co sleep with my daughter and she’s 12. She has epilepsy so I’m too scared to let her sleep alone still. Everyone’s situations are different. There is no right or wrong way to do things.
9:45 that's a very important lesson i needed to learn! All lives are edited for public consumption, you don't see everyone's worst moments online, you don't see the days they struggle to get out of bed. You don't see what their lives are like apart from the parts they share. Be kind to yourself
I agree with you on Cosleeping! And I also believe in extended breast-feeding there’s so many different ways to parent! I think you’re doing a great job!❤️
Maddie, you are one of the most beautiful young girls I have ever seen. You are extremely courageous, and I am sure many young girls can learn a lot from your experience. I wish all the best to you and your lovely daughter.
I agree with the cosleeping! Currently have my 5 and 2 year old in my bed, one on each side! I’ve coslept with both from birth. My 5 year old has her own room now but sleeps with me once a week.
No wonder Maddie is so great with Everly!! she must have a lot of experience with her younger siblings and how toddlers act! I'm sure her family is very proud of her!!
The laat time I watched your videos was like 1 maybe 1 1/2 years ago and I just watched like 3 of your videos back to back because I just can't believe how much you've grown and matured in that time. You're such a lovely adult now, even in the way you talk. And Everly has grown so much too 🥺 I can't believe how fast time flies...
My parents and my grandparents both let me slept in their bed until I was 11 I totally agree with your co-sleep it helped me grow into person I am today
I co-slept with my kids I let them decide when they moved to their own bed they all did around age 10 my daughter now co-sleeping with her babies best decision for us my kids are super close to me extremely loving but very independent!
I truly agree with co sleeping but with safety first! When my son was born I wanted to co sleep safely so he spent a few months in the basinet then the next few months before he was 1 I co slept with him in the potable basinet when he sleeps in bed with me but in a basinet that sits on the bed with walls to separate then by the time he was a year old he was I the crib then just after a year old he was in a toddler bed, 2 of my friends lost their new borns due to co sleeping and then accidentally sleeping on top of their babies suffocating them and killing them…that’s why I choose to co sleep with the portable basinet…& also YESS GIRL living on your own is hard! I moved out at 14 then had my son at 17, and honestly you never think about toilet paper, paper towels, brooms, vacuums, Lysol wipes, swiffers, batteries, took box, sewing kit, ziplock baggys, random stuff like that you don’t think about! Before we moved into an apartment we needed shovels to shovel the snow in the winter and we need to get a lawnmower to cut the lawn in the backyard and we needed to get our own washer and dryer to do our laundry and as a single mom it was a lot to get all of that stuff…but girl you’re doing amazing and your helping so many people understand the reality of things and it’s super helpful!
Thank you for answering my question about having a better relationship with food I struggle with a good addiction and learning to use food in a more healthy way.
of course!! i’ve struggled with eating on both sides of the spectrum- too much and too little and both are extremely difficult. whenever i would find myself eating too much, i dug down and found the root of why i was doing it which really helped. for me it was to cope, so finding different coping mechanisms really helped! definitely look into the science behind it, it’s interesting because food stimulates the brain and triggers the release of feel good neurotransmitters such as dopamine! dopamine is a ‘reward’ chemical and it can actually alter the brains reward circuitry, making your brain want food for the dopamine instead of just being hungry. finding other tasks that release dopamine was a huge help for me:-) adhd can also play a role in this since it causes a lack of dopamine, it did in my case for sure! that’s not always the case, lotsss of things can cause our brains to crave dopamine, but be patient with yourself above all, it’s very easy to go from too much to too little, it takes time so go easy on yourself! my response in the video was more geared to under eating because that’s what i’ve been speaking more on recently, but seeing your comment i really wanted to touch on this too, wishing well to you!:)
My first born co slept with me and she is 11 now but I finally got her in her own room and bed at age 9/10. She was scared to sleep alone but with her nightlight and her dog she is sleeping great on her own and she is very independent. Now my one year old he sleeps in his own bed but in my room and my 7 year old as well. But soon as we have more space they will be in there own room as well with bunk beds. I say do what you can with what you have and I don't believe it will make them not independent bc like I said my daughter she is very independent and loves her own room and she does good now
you're so mature and wise... hard to think you're only 4 years older than me :) you should do another q and a but with Everlyyyy i love your videos with her
Super proud of you Maddie 👏 I had my 1st child at 14,rough childhood now I'm a single mom of 3 I remember my 1st apartment ❤ Now I have a 3 bedroom House and it's so nice to grow even now at 33 I still hate laundry and dishes but there ours so it's a love hate relationship 🤣
I use to live in bedford, dfw area, and I recently moved to east texas, right outside of tyler. It is a short drive and it is sooo much cheaper here! It is also so much more pretty here. We were able to buy a brand new house for 180k a year ago. Dfw prices have gotten crazy and our house there would easily have costed us 350k. If you are looking at buying a house I would really suggest moving here!
Get the book Teach your child to read in 100 days! It works! I did this with two of my daughters and they started kindergarten reading on a second grade level. MANY years later they used the same book!
I have missed out on a bunch of vids due to being in a not so great place but I'm happy to see how much you have matured. Also no parent is ever ready for their baby to start school. My daughter is 5 this year in SK and I'm sobbing at the thought
My 8 year old still sleeps with me. We don't have a problem. And she is very independent she can make her own decisions. In my opinion, co- sleeping and being independent are not related.
My daughter is 7 and still sleeps with me, im a single mom and we are really close. She's fine sleeping on her own if she has to / wants to but we prefer to sleep together
Co sleeping with a newborn is the most natural thing in the world. It helps regulate the baby's heartbeat, breathing, and temperature. Babies who die from SIDS die cold and alone in their cribs. There is a reason why all other animals sleep next to their babies. Co sleeping with older kids is not in any way detrimental to their development or independence. I slept with both my son and daughter, and they both got their own beds when they were ready, which was about Everly's age. The ONLY problem can be when one parent wants the kids in the bed and the other doesn't, but as a single mom that's obviously not a problem for you. Don't let anyone tell you that there's anything wrong with co sleeping, because that's just ignorance
Just last week before you post from pll from my school were teasing me for having a kid at 14 I ran off home and you post a video and you help so much tysm

My niece slept with my friend till she was 5 and she then decided she wanted to sleep in her own bed, she sometimes still sleeps with her now there’s no issue with co sleeping as long as it’s done safely
my mom did co sleeping with all her kids and ive always bee very independent where as my brother is more dependent. Its just the kid not where they sleep
i feel like this is the maturest i've ever seen you. i don't mean that as an insult or anything, i just mean you've matured a ton over the year or so i've watched you, and it's fantastic! it's also inspiring, even though i'm quite a bit older than you. growth is always on the horizon.
