Biggest Gravitrax Marble Run in the World with 20,000 parts!

- This huge marble run is made with Ravensburger Gravitrax and contains more than 20,000 parts, over 246 meters of total track length and more than 100 action stones and marbles!
It was build in only 11 days by me (Jelle Bakker) and Jonas Lang in Galeria Kaufhof (department store) at Berlin Alexanderplatz.
This project has a lot of different paths and it was very difficult to follow all balls through this large complex. Only 3 balls will be released at the top and the "splash" parts will be used to release more balls throughout this marble run.
I only recorded the most interesting parts because of the complexity of this big marble run. The running time after one release is slightly over 3 and a half minutes! Lots of things happen at the same time which makes it very challenging to follow one ball or one part.
NOTE: This project has been dismantled and is not present anymore.
Dimensions: 7,50 meter long X 4,50 meter wide X 1,80 meter tall (including tables)
The marbles (or balls) used are 13 mm steel balls which are enclosed in the Gravitrax sets.
You can buy Gravitrax at most major toy shops. There are new sets and expansions coming in Late 2019!

Coaster Cubes I think this was a display set up by the company that MAKES the tracks, and is really more of 20 different marble runs linked together than 1 continuous, fully-formed machine, so I’d guess it was designed exactly that way-split into a bunch of smaller showcases, and just linked together at the end.
Gotta have balls.

I'd probably start somewhere and just go on, like I do with my tracks, if something cool poped in my head I'd try to build it.

Brings back Marblelympics memories
This really needed professional filming with many many stable cameras set up, up close, over head, zoomed in all over the place and professionally edited in sequence.
That Avalanche at the end could be a great Winter MarbleLympics Event. Maybe a team event with 3 fastest times of each team to count.

When I was a kid, I didn't have marbles or dominos but wanted to create a domino/marble run.
So I took all of the VHS tapes and made HUGE domino runs throughout the house.

Krass! Leider habe ich nicht so viele Teile zur Verfügung, lediglich das Basisset und wenige Erweiterungen. Abo und Like für dieses coole Video und für die extrem krasse Bahn sind da! Mir ist aufgefallen, dass man GraviTrax zur Hypnose verwenden kann (0:49) ;-)

It's a neat system but quite pricey. They bet on the fact that the starting pack is so small and limited, people will wish to buy extensions.. I think it would be more popular if they chose one or the other. Make it expensive but large and enjoyable OR affordable with add-ons to buy.
After watching this I went straight to Amazon and bought a starter pack.
For those wondering, Ravensburger is expecting a reprint of Gravitrax in the US soon (Ravensburger ran out)

shame regular marbles are slightly larger than the ball bearing steel balls used with gravitrax, so you'd be limited with the parts that you could use. :/
