2:10 - Someone miscounted. Mario collected 2 coins there, but only gained 1 on the coin counter.
The NES port of NSMB was notorious for having what is now referred to as the "Coin Count" glitch, but I believe they patched it out in the PAL release...

This cover is ridiculously good, the bahs sound CRISP and the sound design is so god damn clean. And the animation is SO accurate to playing real game it’s hilarious.

I like how the sprites are a combination that includes SMB2's spritework with SMB3's colour palette

Yellow Toad - Their favorite unlucky doofus.
Blue Toad - The one to sit on a bench far away during a friend group picnic, acts on a whim.
Luigi - Cares for his friends, maybe a bit too much.
Mario - The guy who's actually played this level, probably the host of the party.

I love the fact that this is inspired from a level in New Soup DS. This video is pretty much what we all wished for as a kid: multiplayer Mario games

Uhmm actually, the 2A03's 5th sample channel is only limited from 1-bit DPCM to raw 7-bit PCM so there's no option to make 8-bit samples ☝️🤓

Nintendo never stopped to make sequels of NSMB game's, until Mario Maker 2
But I confess that I would love that they release NSMB 3 on switch, even if it will probably never happen (but with the latest Direct and a new Mario Smash Football, we can expect anything).

There are a few subtle differences between the wii and Ds version, and I can tell this is the Wii version.
Sky levels are really violent because if a goomba or any enemy falls off the edge they plummet to their death
