Mini Cooper S R53 - Supercharger Service and Maintenance

A short and simple update on work we are carrying out on the Mini Cooper S R53 that we recently bought for £430!

Hi, Nice informative video! please advice on Mini Cooper S R53 supercharger service. Do I need to lubricate the supercharger rotors/ blades when servicing. Well I did dismantle everything and washed all gears with petrol including rotors, now after reassembly I noticed some clunking noise coming from the top or around supercharge areas when idling?!

Thanks! We don’t lubricate them ourselves, but some people do, does the noise go away press the accelerator?

@@BPMDevelopments Thanks for the response. U only hear the noise when idling but no noise when the car drives.

Hi mate I thought the oil pump was in the timing case cover but you show a separate cover?

Hi IsraelitesUnited, sorry for the late reply, this cover shown is the timing chain cover removed after removing the crank pulley from the engine block.
