Vijayapura 06 Jod Gumbaz, ಜೋಡ್ ಗುಂಬಜ್, Hazrat Abdul Razak Qadri Dargah famous Sufi in Bijapur tourism Karnataka Tourism in Kannada vlog ಕನ್ನಡದಲ್ಲಿ,
Jod Gumbaz houses the tombs of Khan Muhammad and Abdul Razzaq Qadiri. This structure has two domes and beautifully carved chambers, in which the tombs of Khan Muhammad and Abdul Razzaq Qadiri are located. The construction works of this structure was completed in the year of 1687 and it is also called in the name Abdul Razzaq Dargah in Bijapur. Visitors to this tomb are welcomed by serving a spoon of holy water, which is somewhat similar to a custom followed in the Hindu temples. The entry is prohibited to women to one of the tombs in Jod Gumbaz. The tombs in Jod Gumbaz are provided at an elevated area from the floor level and they are separated with wooden walls from other areas in the Jod Gumbaz.Jod Gumbaz constitutes two cenotaphs within it and that is why the structure is called in the name Jod Gumbaz. Even though the structure is constructed in smaller size when compared to other tombs in the Bijapur city, its historical importance makes it a favorite destination of travelers to the city of Bijapur.

Sudheesh sir, thanks for covering Bijapur. Such a nice place but most neglected in the map of history. I lived my childhood and little bit of college days in Bijapur. When I was a kid we used to go inside the underground of Golgumbaz to see royal tombs. There was no restriction as of today. There are places like Aasar mahal, Rani bageech, Mulki maidan top, Ibrahim Roza, uppali burz, bara kaman, Gagan mahal, Taj bawadi. I know that you cannot cover all in one or two days. Anyway I really appreciate your effort to cover such a historical place which is unfortunately the most neglected in terms of tourism. Local citizens should understand the potential of revenue from tourism and hope they make more convenience to the tourists. God bless you sir.

Please do not mind if I make one small request. May be I am asking for too much. Please ignore if it is inappropriate.
The guide was excellent but could not understand his dialogues. If there were some English titles below translating his dialogues, it would have been very good to understand mainly some of the most important architectural secrets which he explained so vividly but unfortunately could not follow it thoroughly because of his accent and dialogue delivery in Kannada.
