We still get plenty of snow, so take his comments as relative to Montana -- which is what he says. Just make sure you know what that means, haha. We can still get two feet of snow at once, though that's happening less and less. Most snow happens from Dec-Mar, and we typically have a nice stretch of subzero temps sometime in Jan-Feb. I've used all weather tires all my life and have been fine, though I've still gotten stuck plenty of times. He's right on getting stranded -- make sure you have an "emergency kit" (different for everyone) in your vehicle at all times. Leave the snowbrush in your car year round. ;)
What's the rule regarding chains? I lived in the Yosemite National Park area and chains are required during parts of the year, yet here in Maine, chains are not allowed.
I have lived in butte my whole life and in the past year you could pick up a modest 2-3 bedroom 50k to 100k . As of right now it’s doubled ! You can’t even find rentals ! Idk it’s getting crazy !
I live in Butte and agree. My son bought a home here and the relator proclaimed Buttes home prices are because of Bozeman. Homes in Bozeman run $400k and up so they buy in Butte and travel back and forth.
Been to Montana many times over the years and sad to see how Bozeman has been Californicated. They have ruined the area and they are moving out like the plague they are.
I'm a Montana native (specifically Bozeman) and he is not providing all the information. There are more animals then bears and cayotes that you need to watch out for. And the snow is worse then he says.
@@RedRoseSeptember22 for animals there are rattlesnakes and wolves. There are also mountain lions that come into town. Now mother nature has her own ideas about the winters. Some winters there is 4 ft of snow, others 2 inch of snow but constant black ice on all the roads, then there is very mild winters, but because Bozeman is at the base of the mountains it gets a lot of snow. It is common to gets half a ft of snow over night. And truck does not prevent you from going in the ditch. Another thing I dont think he mentioned was the wild fires we get up here. That's about 2 months of smoke.
"Where I came from" - just another transplant trying to sell his new home downriver. I swear these people don't get it lol. There's a reason these places are nice to live in. It's because people aren't there to ruin them
@Boa Sky well that’s good info to have, but where does the wild begin, and how patrolled or visited is the area? Are there places that you won’t run into anyone except maybe Bigfoot?
It’s absolute bullshit that you have to be some rich asshole to live in Bozeman in general it shouldn’t be like this and it’s pathetic that it is I’ve been here my whole life and it’s sickening we don’t want these people here.
Good lots of live music .. well before COVID . Missoula is more of a music town with the top hat and Wilma . Nice thing where I live is I can go out to the small towns like pony - Whitehall- twin -Dillon bars and locals are always having local bands .
Prices are lower on the Missoula side. We bought land and now building in Ronan. Looked many years on the Bozeman side to find our perfect view of the Mission Mountains on the Missoula side at a great price. 40 acres.
The folks that mostly call Browning home are primarily native americans. They are a proud tribe, but are extremely impoverished. Crime and drugs are a way of life and they don't much like rich white folks moving in to change things around their rez. They will rob you just to buy a bottle of whiskey. They used to get checks from the federal government. They would buy a new used car and drive it 'til it broke down on the roads. Spousal abuse is another way of life. The native american population all over the state of MT and the Dakotas is a dismal reminder to all white transplants that racism and poverty is rampant. Please don't move to Browning, MT. It will break your heart .
I want to move here though I feel its gonna be a blue state in 5-10yrs..exactly what I am trying to run from....Such an amazing state though, dont let dems fuck it up
Steve Balukonis. Hey pal, if it weren't for a great number of dems in this state, the tRump would have a summer mansion in Big Sky and Zinki would already be governor. He is a native of MT that calls California home except when it's time to run for something.
Dude shut up! Montana is FULL quit bringing people here and driving housing prices up and changing our way of life! Sorry to be like this but our beautiful place is changing way to much way to fast! I mean it's good for you selling way over priced homes but enough is enough!
Yep ! Bozeman just blue up and everything aroumd Bozeman. They coming here paying top dollar and now locals are screwed big time ! My husband and I been saving up for our first home well that's dream was crushed very quickly ! Now we are moving out of Bozeman area! Locals have no chance .
Montana has the 4th largest landmass in the country, and ranked 46th in population. If you think Montana's full there aren't many places on earth you would find suitable. Places change, if you aren't fit enough to adapt you'll be slowly pushed out. It's called capitalism and natural selection.
This video makes me dizzy. Stop constantly spinning around it’s incredibly distracting. LOL there isn’t a fence for miles but this guy!!!! - walks 10 feet and turns around…. TERRIBLE VIDEO!!!!!!!
Thank you for information

Unrelated to the video: The sound of the grass crunching under your shoes is very satisfying lol.
I legit didn’t hear it until I read this comment!
Awesome Video and Information. Thanks, maybe in touch with you.

Chains not allowed? Interesting.

Butte is such a small town but its gorgeous and righ in the middle of two very popular areas so people are moving there to get away!!

please drop a link to the GPS tool thing you mentioned when it comes to getting stranded. ahhhhhhh
What is the name of the transponder for an sos device that you recommended
Do they have any tiny home communities
no

Ironically most of them are Red voting conservative Californians thinking they’re seeking political refuge but they just inflate prices
There's ice skating rinks there and looks like some pretty nice restaurants/stuff to do

Care to expand on that? I'm curious now.

Agreed!!!
So, what I gathered from this video is that you have to be rich to live in Montana. Got it! Gotta love that American dream!!!
@Boa Sky where is the best area in the North to just disappear into the woods? I’m about to pull a Dick Proeneke and live!
@Boa Sky well that’s good info to have, but where does the wild begin, and how patrolled or visited is the area? Are there places that you won’t run into anyone except maybe Bigfoot?
Pretty much :( it's sad. I'd like to visit though!

@@Blanktapes0x0 thank you for the reply. If we get to relocate, we’re hoping to find people to jam with just for a fun way to pass the time☺️
Probably not going to like it. Just saying.
The biggest deterrent to moving to Montana would be the number of people from CA, OR or WA. moving there. Deal breaker.
Lol.
So happy hippie liberals can afford to move into your paradise?
Aint it a bitch.
My native american ancestors thought the same thing.
Well there moving to all the good places so lol

Crime be off the charts compared to Bozeman Montana a little cheaper for a lot of crime good choice.
I'm looking at just land to go off grid in Montana I don't want a city
Wanting to move to Montana from Massachusetts. Looking for some where in between rural and city. A happy medium. Do you have any town suggestions?
Stevensville! close to Missoula, close to ski mountain, etc
Saratoga Springs, NY. Or Sarasota, Fl
@@iowa_lot_to_travel9471 Not Florida. We’re full. 😉
Move to Browning. They will welcome you with open arms.👍🏻
