I bought a Sudoku game somewhat like this but with a capacitive touch screen and stylus with a "smartphone"-look around 2008 for my mom. I think it was around 7-8 dollars. Also, I really really wanted an N-Gage when it was new! But it was waaay too expensive for my meager teenage wallet.
Check my recent uploads. Did a Libreboot+Trisquel install on a ThinkPad T400, and if you go back a bit further you can see I am working on a web language based application platform and distribution called Kronos, of which Version 2.0 is currently in development. I also daily-drive a vrms-rpm/vrms deblobbed Qubes OS on the Librebooted T400 (though, it would be more correct to call it a Xen distribution with GNU/Linux VMs than simply "Linux"). Qubes video coming sometime, in addition to me_cleaner on some systems (this isn't needed if you have Libreboot, but on incompatible systems it is useful). Maybe also more Kronos stuff. Stay tuned.
The other name for those elastomer strips is zebra strips. The pebble watches use them to connect their e-ink displays to the boards.
I'm really liking the advent calendar. Keep up the good work!
I would have loved to play Sudoku on my N-Gage, under a beach umbrella, back in 2005
