I had the same mentality about cmc this year thinking even if he misses 4-6 games he so good and in a great system that if I make sure I get his top handcuff I'll be ok for the season. I did that with cmc/mason and it didn't work out, so for that reason, I'd much rather have Gibbs and bijan over barkley. However, i should have went with my gut.i had a feeling he was worse than they let on.
Clear something up for me…of those players in the top 10 only Chase and Saquon averaged over 20 ppg in PPR. Lamar, who lead all players w/ 25 ppg, isn’t in the top 10. Neither is Josh Allen, Burrow, Hurts, or Baker. They all averaged over 22 ppg….all bcus their “QBS”. In my opinion i don’t care what position you are-if you average over 22ppg in drafting you in the first round
The fall off with QBs is way lower than with WR and RB. You can still get a QB who scores 20+ in the 6th round but you won’t get a WR or RB who does that. That’s why you go skill position first and get your QB later
@ what do you mean exactly by “fall off” of qbs? Lol there wasn’t much fall off with those 4 QB’s. They had more 20 points games than most WR’s and RB’s…
@Jordan-v3s QB Fall-off means relative to other quarterbacks.
For example: The fall-off after the top couple RB's is massive compared to taking RB6 or 7. The fall-off after the top couple QB's isn't as dramatic. Baker Mayfield could do serviceably on your team and you can make the playoffs. I wouldn't skip top tier WR/RB to get a QB because of this. Hope this helped
That’s not how fantasy football drafts work. The difference between a top 5 qb and a top 10 qb isn’t that much while the difference between a wr/rb1 and a wr/rb2 is pretty drastic. You don’t need to reach for your qb in the first round just because they score more points than the other skill positions. Stop drafting like a taco

@ it says top 25 list, I'd say more in the 18-25 range. RB's generally rank high due to the high volume of touches.

Top of mind on players that will do well without their QB (their QBs in parenthesis): Jacobs (Love), Gibbs/Montgomery (Goff), Bijan (Ridder/Cousins), Barkley (Hurts), Jonathan Taylor(Minshew/AR/Flacco), Breece(Wilson/Rodgers), Henry (Levis/Lamar), CMC (Purdy) - mainly coz they can be bellcows and dont rely on passing yards for their fantasy points. Achane is so reliant on Tua coz he can't just run through defenses coz of his size and a chunk of his fantasy points are from pass catches. and Secondly, these RBs have already played with bad QBs and still be productive. and Third their QBs actually steal rushing attempts from them or just like to throw alot. Some examples are with Hurts who "steals" alot of Saquon's TDs or Goff throwing a ton.
