- [15/12/2022 EDIT: Seems RUclips's decided this stuff is popular enough that adverts need to be stapled to them. I do not monetise my videos, and have no control over adverts being placed on my videos as per RUclips's whims; I apologise to folks who are unable to circumvent these things for one reason or another. If you have a problem with this, my suggestion would involve buying the OST to properly listen to the music. I could make other suggestions, but they'd border on theft, and as such I'm not going to do it.]
After a request and another lazy Sunday, I decided to extend this track! The track's name is First Steps, but most people remember it as that music which played on the first level. As I usually say, the loop isn't perfect, due to the nature of the track, so this is the best I can muster up after some fiddling about here and there.
The music was originally created by Rémi Gazel. You can find more of his music on his MySpace account: www.myspace.com...
Rayman is owned by Ubisoft.
I don't own anything in this video.
This feels nice doesn't it... This games harmless nothing beyond here can be anything but smiles and happiness right?

love this track🎵🎵🎶🎶
👍👍👍👍
Nice loop job. I think this is an underrated little old school video game track.
My favorite outside theme. :D
Nice little reference to your infant years.
L I F E: The videogame
Played this game on DSi. Never beat it (because who has?) But this song stuck with me through my whole playthrough. Really catchy!
Slurff it, sucff it, I know you aff loouckie!
how did you not beat it? like 5 lives startign. 10 with the powerup.
It took me 12 years to beat Rayman 1 on PS1, cause I'd get frustrated at the difficultly and it'd get thrown into a draw for months before I'd play it again. I was so insanely happy when I did beat it, my Mummy came into my room when she heard me cheering and when I told her I finally beat Rayman 1 she celebrated with me, as she knew how tough it was.
@@DRAG0NSPIRIT10 Thanks to my 2 older brothers keep playing this since I was 5, I get the gist of it by just watching..somehow
Then I play it for real , and beat it when im 15. Takes a lot of damn effort and worth it
how did you not beat the dsi version it’s literally the easiest port ever made
I FINALLY FOUND YOU, IVE BEEN SEARCHING FOR THIS SONG FOR SO LONG
This is where Rayman all began.
My mum has completed rayman on ps1 I think me and my brother have but that was ages ago... We use to leave the hard levels to my mum and she use to play it while we went school... 😂😂
Hahaha
Best mum ever
god bless your mom
WERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE!?!?!
Catchiest song in the world?
Yeah
I love this music
I'm not sure whether to commend this extension for its more seamless-sounding loop, or to stick with the DSiWare rendition for looping the whole song without leaving out a single note…
Personally, I prefer loops to sound natural, even if it means intros stay as intros rather than remaining for the rest of the extend. S'why I re-did one of the Terraria extends from a few years back - the loop I did was _atrocious_.
***** I see. It's almost never easy to loop something when it was only designed to be played once.
At least you did a pretty good job with this one.
Mario and Luigi are human
Kirby is a pink blob
Crash and sonic are animals
And rayman is just rayman
he's a lovable Scrunko
Donkey is monkeh
Rayman is a Rayman
Rayman is a thigamajig
rayman is an eggplant
If you play the song at 1.25 speed it is a little bit better in my opinion. Just because modern Raymans are a lot more fast paused ratter than later back.
Best song period.
one of my fav 2d platformers, too bad, it was a extremely hard game, i never finish it
Ive had this stupid song in my head for two days now. Guess I should play some. Great game and great ost.
Omg I used to play dis on my dsi

Me too. Original PS1 game I've had it for over 20 years.
i want pyrocynical to play rayman
Mudkip Legend I want pyrocinical to make petscop 2
This almost sounds like SNES music.
This got me to look into the development history of the game, because it being a release title for the PS1 might've meant some overlap, and wouldn't you know it? The game did start development on 16-bit consoles, with a plan to put the game on the SNES's CD-ROM add-on!
Though it's more likely that the attitudes and approaches to composing were still accustomed to old sound-chips that required specific methods to get the most out of the hardware. The PS1 could do that as well, but it was also capable of just playing full tracks from the CD, which probably felt like the easier method at the time at the cost of disk space. So this music sounding SNES-like isn't too far off the mark - makes me wonder if someone's ever tried to remake this on a SNES sound-chip...
@@MrSmegheneghan Makes you wonder why they didn't replicate it perfectly for the GBA port.
@@virgogaming6488 that is asking a bit much, I feel. The original Jaguar edition might have used sampled music, but the PlayStation version was using audio tracks from the CD, which is why it would skip between tracks on occasion with a moment of silence between 'em. And whilst the GBA might be _comparable_ to a SNES, it's not going to have the same internals, and wouldn't be able to emulate SNES music perfectly on its own. That's most noticeable with the SNES games that got ported. Asking for CD-quality music from that thing is wishful thinking.
Rayman created Ubisoft, Rayman is the best!
Yep and Ubisoft is still going strong I think the new Rayman coming out but it's gonna be on PS5, Switch and Xbox series X
