I love the change of tone when the Patrons talk about enemy heroes in comparison to when they talk towards an ally hero. You can really tell how they just want to beguile you when talking to you, but to them we are just a tool!
I was just listening to Lash voicelines when i read your comment and she goes from "You´re greatness will no longer be in doubt" as ally to "Silence that arrogant whelp" when he´s an enemy. I never noticed that beforehand. Man i love Valve´s story telling. It´s all right under our noses ready to be explored!

I mean part of it is because they chose to be their enemy, they sided with a different patron. Ofc they'll have that kind of way thought about them, yes we are a Tool for the ritual but If a friend of mine sided with my enemy, I'd talk crap about them too, you get what I mean?
They definitely are manipulative but this specific thing isn't that manipulative or uncaring, it's human nature. You view your friends in a positive light and your enemies in a negative light. What's manipulative about the patrons doing it is that they probably do not actually see their allies in a very positive light, they just say those things to appeal to the characters.
Yeah this hits the nail on the head i think. There are a lot of voicelines where the patrons talk about the fears or the deepest desires of the heroes.. They are very aware of every heroes personality and feelings on a deep level and use that to manipulate you. Kind of like a manipulative therapist. That shit is kinda dark to be honest!
The extremely delayed echo made me think i was hearing other voices calling out, especially during the starts of the first few games. no, it's just the patron, no one's actually on my door calling me lmao
Sapphire Flame voicelines should be the same as in this video. As far as we are concerned there is only a new voiceover for the amber hand patron. We will make a video about the new patron voicelines in an upcoming video, but for now we will work on some new hero conversations!

Yeah we know, we are using an auto transcribe feature in our editing software and it is hard to check an hour long video after editing for hours on end. We try to keep it at a minimum. Thanks for the heads up though ;)

I would be very surprised if she doesn't voice a hero down the line. Her husband already voices dynamo and their basically Mr. And Mrs. Valve at this point.
Kinda wish the two Patrons didn't have the same lines tbh. Idk their lore so maybe I'm wrong but I'd like it more if they had somewhat different personalities, if they're gonna give each one a different voice. EDIT: They made this exact fucking change the same day I posted this comment and I didn't realize it LOL. They changed the male one's lines.
