Main square is just a part of the históric Center which has a lot of historic buildings many of them older than presidencial palace, jirón ica has been preserved better than jirón de la unión or plaza san martin, but the last ones are more visited for tourists.
The waiter at the Restaurant around the Main Square is proving your points. A lot of english-speaking peruvians in the Country. The reason why it is very common, is because learning a foreign language - mainly English - is a genuine desire and aspiration for our future. "aprende ingles hijo, our parents use to say"
The "president" and the corrupt congress has 4% of approval btw, so we actually live in a silent dictatorship and rn the repression is crazy. That's why it's closed. They won't even let us fight for our rights and money bc they want all of it for them. Now turists have to suffer the consecuences of our country's corruption and we can't show yall how beautiful our country really is. I'm sad and so mad about this. Wished u had the full Perú experience. Sorry. #DINAASESINA
I remember early 90s you couldnt walk thru there becouse of the piranhas they were a lot of poor kids like 7-14 yrs old they will rush you and rob you it was crazy but its always been beautiful there and the statues. Love peru i need to go back to the crib. 🇵🇪♥️😎
We got a dope country ! Love my two countries Peruvian roots and American 🇺🇸 heritage
A country where there is a lot of drugs, there is probably a lot, but if the police see you coming, they put you in prison for 35 years.
The best food in the world.
Arroz con Mariscos! It is a popular dish in Perú

Lima was called the city of kings and it was the capital of South America in 1535

bro everything you eat in Lima is so good, even a club sandwich in a little restuarant, g Lima is the gastronomic capital of America
Therer is another square just two blocks from there. It is also very nice!
If you get more time you should try to do a tour of the Centro de Lima. There is lots of history there.

Hello from St.Louis
What you say, Zoe... you doing too much... that's a good one... lmfao
We’ll just wondering, Where in the video is Plaza San Martin? 😮😮😮
It was at the end but the video was getting long so I might have cut it short
Lima.
omg that’s so unfortunate :( they closed the main square due to protests as a way to “protect” the presidential palace
It opened up a little later so if you watched the entire video you would have seen it.
@@INTERNATIONALZOEYeah sorry I typed this before the ending lmao glad you had a chance to enjoy it !
I wonder if Lima has changed since the last time I visited .
