Puppy pacifiers and if you can find a clock that "ticks" and put in inside a towel or toy will help with the separation anxiety. The clock reminds the puppy of the mother's heartbeat.
Ooh, I am adding puppy pacifiers to my list, I had no idea they exist! His snuggle puppy has the ticking heartbeat and he absolutely LOVES it!
Girl! I feel for you. I went through this. My Jasper (mini goldendoodle) is 4 months old and we got him when he was 8 weeks too. I had a ton of pet parent support that helped me through this. The first two weeks was the worst for me, but I got a routine down that worked for me. I basically broke the day down into three segments that contained my responsibilities and his schedule. I don’t know why - but that helped me master his schedule with mine. Hang in! He’s a doll baby. And he’s the same apricot color as my Jasper. Hugs!!

When I saw all of the pet products you bought, all I could see were dollar signs. Holy moly, pets cost a lot!
Thank goodness I found Amazon, because yes it was a high upfront cost, but not as high as I thought (less than a pair of designer shoes) and luckily I had 2 years to plot and save!

Got my Cavapoo 3 days ago and boy is he a handful 😂. The whining and puppy blues is real with this breed and has definitely changed my whole sleep routine. He’s basically crate and play pen trained but still learning all the basics. I put one of my shirts in his crate so he could still smell me while he sleeps and it seems to be working so far. He’s full of energy all day so it’s hard to calm him down for training.
For him to get used to his crate you should’ve fed him his first meal in there so he can know that he is safe in the crate

When we used to breed companion puppies we only gave them away at 10-12 weeks. To make sure they were developed, get them used to beginner training, socializing and being on their own before they are rehomed. Also depending on the type of dog, working dogs stayed longer with us for training.
Puppies are like babies. You sleep when they sleep. 🤣 Definitely got to make the playpen a positive environment. Verbal praise, treats, feeding and playtime should take place there only in the beginning.
Great job getting a stuffed dog toy. It helps them not to feel alone. Especially since dogs are pack creatures.
Pro tip: When it comes to pill giving. You can put the medicine inside strawberries. Also you might want to get quikstop for his nails if you ever cut them yourself. Though I love the pedipaw. However he is too small to use that just yet. Get a clicker for sound association training. And... The best tip I can give you is to not start anything you can't finish. If you don't want him on your bed... 🙅 If you want him to use a certain area of the yard, don't give him free range at first.

I screenshot and saved :) So we’ve had him a few weeks now and we have done away with the playpen - he would stress himself to the point of pooping all over, despite trying everything you mentioned and more! We focused on the crate more as he was fine in there at night. I had to make it work so I could shower. We are at the point where he doesn’t love it in the daytime, but he doesn’t defecate and can do a solid 45 mins in there - we left the house for the first time this week for 40 mins and he did bark but we came back to quiet. I make sure he is pottied and tired out so his needs are met and his barking/whining is just demanding to be let out! It’s so hard to let him cry it out, but we are seeing some small progress!
@@amynicolaox You got this. Interactive toys, music or tv sounds can help if you guys are gone. It's more of a separation anxiety thing so if he feel like you all are there he will quiet. Also you could invest in cameras that allow you to speak to your dog while you are gone. We had one with terrible anxiety that that worked for.
My husband wanted a dog for the last 5 years and we went to so many shelters to adopt but never found puppies 😔 small breeds non shred dog (Im allergic to some dogs and cats )🙁also one to fit into home and lives. We decided to go to a responsable breeder and we welcome Tommy🐶 to our family, he was already potty trained by the breeder🙂 a super plus 🙂

Hello I know this video is old but I have a 9 week old cavapoo and he also has blood in his poop. It is either very soft or liquid. What food did the vet recommend?
Having a puppy is like having a newborn baby! It will get better, so hang in there... I’ve had my little yorkie for 7 years and it’s a lot but it does get better! Once you get his routine in place it will be easier on you... word of caution if you don’t want him in your bed..DO NOT START IT!!😩
Lol everyone is telling me it’s amazing practice for a baby! It’s good that I now know what the zero sleep feels like so I’ll be prepared for that at least 😂😂 We decided not to let him in the bed early on because of this - although he has snuck in for a few morning snuggles/naps
I’m hearing you re the puppy sleep short nights. My puppy cavapoo came home last Wednesday so she has been with us for a week now. She sleeps good in her crate but wants potty during the night. She is now 10 weeks old.
Awee! My puppy was just like that! 🤩🥰Just a heads up, it may be separation anxiety or, could develop into separation anxiety. I had a miniature poodle (she has since passed away. lived 15 years❤) and she never really got over the separation anxiety, but it was okay because I was with her 24/7. But I wouldn't worry about it that, just thought of throw that out there. Also the cuddly breeds just love attention and being around you. ❤ oh and gorgie is soooooo adorable! He looked a lot like my puppy did as a puppy so I had to leave a comment 🥲😍
I bet your puppy was the cutest thing also!! I thought it might be separation anxiety, so I’ve been trying to work on it as he 100% is a Velcro dog! We’re hoping with time/age he gets better and better in his crate!

I get it why some people might be like adopt! I will personally adopt, I have also had dogs all my life and locally the dogs we have available to adopt are mixed breeds which usually are more resilient. However if you choose to buy from a responsible breeder then that is your choice. Georgie is very cute. As someone else said you need to ignore them a bit, even though he is sooo cute and its hard to resist. My gosh I would not be able to resist the face!!! I'm sure you're doing better with him now, it's your first time so it will take a minute to get into a routine.
It is so evident how much you love him the more I watch the video. You're a good pet mom.

Puppys are like having a baby even harder in some ways because they are so mobile and mouthy that’s why I never would recommend getting a puppy or a kitten as a first pet but between the two kittens and cats are easier

He is an F1b Cavapoo. He weight 13.2lbs full grown, his mom is a 14lb Cavapoo and dad is a 8-9lb toy poodle, so not sure what that makes him!

I just also wanted to say that I heard that you shouldn’t put the name of your dog on the collar because if he would ever get lost or run away people who might have bad intentions could call him by his name and he might think he knows them. Just want you and your puppy to be safe. ❤
How many months were your dog when you brought him home
He’s so freakimg cute! I don’t recommend giving such a young pup a bath, it’s usually much safer to give them a bath when they’re older and have all the vaccines.

Just Got my cavapoo and struggling with potty training
Download the puppy potty log app, and take them out literally every 30 mins. Basically when in doubt take them outside. Has the puppy just woken up from a nap, played vigorously or ran around for 10 mins, eaten or drank, turned around in play or basically looked the wrong way? Take them out! Once I did this, Georgie caught on in about a week!

Yes, it really is! The first month was the hardest I would say & it definitely gets easier from there. He’s now 10.5 months & we have our routine down & it’s much easier & all worth it!
How much did it cost for your dog. I am looking at a breeder and they want 5,000 for one.
Cavapoos really are going for crazy prices, especially since the demand with the pandemic, a lot are in the 4-6k range. We actually paid less than half of that as our breeder prides herself on keeping pricing fair so that the average family can afford them. She has since raised her prices from when we joined her list, but I think you’d still be looking at half of the 5k
I’ve had 2 pups - once lived until he was 18 and the other 12. Their breeder did not release them until they were 6 months old. Both came pad and crate trained. Personally, I think 8 weeks is way too young.

So so, he’s quite a guard dog and can be territorial of his garden so he’s known to bark at squirrels in the yard or dogs walking by. If he gets scared he has a tendency to bark too

Girl, most of it has been invaluable!! Everything cost less than a pair of designer shoes, but still an investment! We are lucky we had 2 years to plot and put $ aside for when the time came!
Put a t-shirt you have worn so it has your scent on it in the crate/ pen. It will hopefully help him settle.
Thank you for this! We did try the t shirt, but things in the pen got worse to where he would stress defecate! He still doesn’t LOVE the crate in the daytime, but we can get him in there for 30-45 mins now and he can soothe himself a little better! I just feel so bad hearing him bark and cry!

Yes, you have to leave them. George will train you, if you don't train him. He should stop crying after the third night.

Cavapoos are not hypoallergenic and they can shed. They are only half poodle so there's no guarantee. Just get a poodle they have all the traits people look for in these designer cross breeds
You need a harness, not a collar
I don't understand why you all give your dogs so many different types of vitamins and things for there teeth toothpaste and tooth brush,it sounds crazy, 🤣 when he gets older he will just want to be a 🐕 he is gorgeous
It’s important to take care of dental hygiene as it relates to heart health now I will say that many products isn’t necessary 2 products maybe 3 tops is good. Toothpaste, tooth brush, and dental treats usually do the job just fine
He's not a child, put him in it at night. Put a puppy pad down, take him out 1 time at night. Otherswise, don't pay him no attention at night, just say a few words to calm him down, roll over and go back to sleep. I've had pets all my life, you're doing too much.
Why not rescue a dog from an animal shelter instead of dropping $$$ on a "designer" dog? Puppy mills, interbred, prone to cancer and other health issues..what a shame!
Not every breeder is a puppy mill.. there are good breeders out there.

I know there are good breeders out there..my point is it's more important for me to rescue an animal from a shelter than to pay big bucks to a breeder. One less dog euthanized; I have 4 that I saved from death
@@user-wv8rd2om3f Adoption isn’t for everyone she specifically said she wanted a hypoallergenic puppy that does not shed not many puppies in shelters let alone ones that don’t shed. Also if the dog problem is so bad why are shelter and rescues going to other countries to get dogs 🤔
