I came across the CZ Shadow Ts2 two years ago. Right out of the box, trigger little less than 3lb. Came with three 20 mags. It is a single action. Very accurate and best pistol I have. I own 2 wilson pistols. Compaired to them the Cz is a bit better. The cost was 1400 dollars. well worth the price.

What a fun day, shooting with your buddy on a somewhat warm Michigan day as the snow melts. Dan, I'm 1,000 miles south of you and we are babies here not a fan of the cold weather. Love that CZ. It is such a fine pistol, so so nice, but I admit I'm biased towards CZ. Thanks for sharing.

I always prefer at metal frame (even if it's not a CZ-Colt). Love those bule aluminum grips! (I'd never pay $1,000+ for a plastic-handled gun of any brand!) Great review, thank for posting!! (Someday, I'll own a Shadow 2...hummmm.)

Since Colt seems to be running cz into retirement, do you think it's a good idea to sell off cz and invest in another brand? I'm worried if/ when i need parts or accessories there won't be any, and I'll end up with a paperweight. What's your opinion? Thanks.

As always Dan...great video. And I can't agree with you more...the CZ is an outstanding gun to shoot. I used to love polymer guns as they are what I started with. Then I made the mistake of buying my first metal gun 6 or so years ago...I no longer shoot my polymer guns! The metal guns just shoot better. As for carry, some are concerned about weight...with a good holster and belt, you really don't feel much of a difference. CZ all the way on this comparison!

I’ve seen the CZ Shadow 2 for under $900 recently online and I own the single action only version of that CZ Shadow 2 and it has an unbelievable trigger. Actually I like it better than the double single action. Also, I wanted the optic version so I bought the optic version put the optic slide on my single action, only lower, and then sold theother lower and upper together. I told the guy that the serial numbers wouldn’t match because that’s what he did and he didn’t care and so now I have an optic credit version with a single action trigger. That’s the best combination and I’m extremely happy with that it’s my favorite gun. Add a few grips to it and man what a sweet shooter.

I have that exact CZ and man is it a tack driver. All of my CZ pistols and rifles are extremely accurate. The fit and finish are all outstanding. 👍

Those two are the 2 best 9mms in the world.both 100% accurate.the cz has a bit of a better trigger but the usp will outlast the cz for a decade for sure.choose wisely

Shadow 2 all the way. Since I have owned it I have lost my interest in buying anything else. BTW, the price has dropped a couple of hundred dollars and you can now get the optics ready model for the same price that the non-optics model had cost.

For competition and target shooting I’d go with the shadow. For carry or end of world go to war pistol I’d take the hk all day everyday.

@@TheFireArmGuy To each its own good buddy. I love CZ but as a lefty that mag release makes it hard for me to shoot the gun. If it was the SP01 tactical I would go with that over the HK. Essentially the same gun as the Shadow 2 but doesnt have the extended mag release.

Shadow 2 by a mile. The trigger is much better than the HK. The HK has a abysmal trigger, even in single action. The price HK is asking for this plastic pistol is ridiculous.

USP eats all the ammo I give it. Shadow 2 like the SP01 malfunctions if the ammo isn’t high end brass. Steel case, aluminum case, cheap Turkish trash brass, etc no problem on the USP or USP Expert.
