This ROC Post cold war bunker is located at Blean in kent. This post opened in September 1966 and was closed in 1976 when the nearby Herne Bay post became operational again.
This i believe is owned by the woodland trust and they keep it locked and preserved, though the post is completely stripped of fittings sadly.
This is a great thing they are doing and hope to see more refurbishment and opened up to the public in the near future.

Good to see them preserving a few and putting some proper signage up!
Climbing a tree to hide from the farmer !!! As usual and excellent video, and it is so good to see people prepared to preserve these buildings for posterity. They should all have a Grade and be listed..great one !!!!!
I concurr with you, about preserving sites like that. They are a very important part of our history, that should not be forgotten.
Recently new subscriber, just want to say absolutely love the quality of your videos. The enthusiasm, passion and respect for the sites you visit is commendable! Happy exploring!
yet another good cold war bunker thanks for sharing
I'm so happy I found this channel, your videos are awesome
Interesting detail shown with the close up of the drainage around the hatch cover. Wouldn't that ice up badly in winter so that the door would not open? The historic placque is a nice feature that shows that somebody cares about keeping this site in good shape.
+Bloeski's Wrecking Crew no post is locked and secure :) that drain thing would freeze back in the days I would think :)
love your videos brother, thanks for taking us along
+Jesse Mowery many thanks for your support :)
That's an incredible complete bunker must be worth trying to find the key holder explaining your respect and documentation f them. Listed building would be a good idea.
+SWR112 yeah would be nice to have a look :)
You could've parked in Dargate, there's a public footpath right up to it. It is open to the public on certain times of the year- last april, it was open and a there was a talk about it too.
They did an open day here last summer where they opened it up but didn't put any kit down the or anything. You guys should go down to Cuckfield ROC for one of their open days because they kit the whole place out
Not sure if you have been to Hastings, on the top of what's called the Fire hills, Hastings country park you will find a cold war bunker just the same as this one, it did have a green fence around it. have not put the full part of the country park its in as it's in great condition, like you it needs to stay that way. Don't know if your aware of the place. great video again.
you do such a great job and I like the information you give all of us when your able to obtain it just be careful you never know what you may encounter 🇺🇸
If you ever go on an adventure in Oxfordshire I'd love to tag along
+Spammals one day maybe mate :) will check to see if there's any bunkers up your way :)
IKS Exploration - Fridays 10AM Nice one :D Cheers buddy :)
another cracking video guys
Another great videl Ian👍 Wonder if the trust will fully restore this bunker? as it would be great to have more being restored and not trashed😠😠😠 As i think there is only 5 fully restored bunkers at the moment 2 get opened up for tours not sure about the others
This one seems to be still well taken care of. I bet if you could find the key holder and get in it would be very well preserved!
+Wally Weener I believe the interior is stripped of all fittings but that was before the woodland trust took over, might be restored inside :)
Great job.
+ThePresidentialTourist many thanks for your support:)
That's cool. I bet it's pristine in that one with the tables and some equipment still down there?
+Fading Mist up to 2008 the post was stripped of all fittings, but as the post has been locked with a new hatch it my be refitted and opened to the public at times :) will look into this :)
you should come to raf up wood its great half the buildings are still there its already pretty vandalised but awesome
For some reason the music you used reminded me of Threads (saw that on youtube a few years back, jolly viewing I must say) and those unintentionally terrifying public information films, which incidentally had music composed by one of the people who made the incidental music for 70's and 80's Doctor Who. But mainly, these places always remind me of Threads. In the event of a worst case scenario, how long would the provisions have lasted in a typical bunker?
Fascinating video bro!
many thanks for your support :)
IKS Exploration - Fridays 10AM Always mate :)
The post hasn't been restored inside or outside. The woodland trust have just started to look after it to make sure it doesn't get any worse. It is totally empty.
+nibunker is a shame to here would be a great project to do this up :)
Nice video sir! Do you use a microphone and one of the wind dead cats that cuts out some of the wind?
+Harmin vlogs Many thanks :) the camera I use is the Sony action cam and I made a dead cat thing for the front of it :) got some photos of it on my Instagram:
instagram.com/iks_exploration/
I know it's a long stretch but could you do the sea forts by any chance?
+Angry Sky whale didn't see them no maybe if I tried hard enough lol thanks for the comment :)
If this is the one by victory wood then it's really clean inside but totally empty. Been in there a few times before the new hatch was made.
+Chris Webb if it the Blean post then yeah I don't know the area very well :S I see some photos on subbrit before we went to this site and yeah very clean inside :) thanks for the comment :)
+IKS Exploration - Fridays 10AM Cracking videos though! I do look forward to 10am Tuesday's & Friday's! Cheers
+Chris Webb many thanks for your support :)
Proper Boots, Ian! whats going on!
+North Orbital. Lol I should use these again really:)
"Protection order" "site of special importance " "listed site,-grade 1-2" just a few examples of ways to make sure the sites remain the same , people have to inform the right people to get these sites protected , sometimes it will take hours of phone calls and possibly a site visit with so which ect, I would urge anyone who knows if such sites to get on the phone to your local councils and explain what you know and where it is ect, out the time and effort into getting your known sites protected , hopefully stoping future planning applications from destroying the sites, because once the sites are destroyed they are lost for ever!. So get on that phone, buildings features any site if interest, thus goes fir wildlife "homes " also! Take care ya all! Have a merry Xmas and a good new year to follow! James ... (Cheers Ian , Chris , and extended familys!)
cool post
boot lace undone because of brambles, , you need to get some gators on, , nice vid guys.
+neil phillips yeah got gators forgot them that day :(
IKS Exploration - Fridays 10AM trust you to forget the important things in life. Lol. .haha. There a must for every exploration.
well preserved exterior on this one a bit disappointing that you could not film inside but then if you cant get in neither can the idiots with the spray cans and matches.
another fine film thanks
+David Sirett Iv seen photos inside this one, the walls are very clean but all is stripped unfortunately:(
Many thanks for the comment :)
Next video you should try and get permission to enter the bunker to record if they're refitted inside. That would be interesting...
+Jiraiya_Ero_Sannin it's only recently been locked up, the hatch was hanging off in 2008.
Plenty more to explore :)
makes you wonder if they refurbished it expecting something bad is going to happen the way this world is today getting crazy anymore makes me nervous
IKS Exploration - Fridays 10AM Really.... Good luck and happy hunting
very good, sir. better they be locked up than full of fire damage and "i woz ere" all over the walls! Stay safe my friend
I'm sure if you email the Woodlands Trust, they will lend you the key to this one. You can see from your RUclips channel that you are not vandals!
+Willz interesting yeah will look into that :)
By the way...any luck with getting in the submarine yet?
+Wally Weener email the owner just waiting for a reply:)
IKS Exploration - Fridays 10AM Awesome. I hope it works out...really looking forward to that!
Does Ireland have any of these places or is it basically strictly england?
Northern Ireland has lots of ROC posts :)
Northern Ireland had 58 of them, there is about 44 of them left standing. I own the only restored one in Northern Ireland.
nibunker have pictures or video of it?
They all should be sealed up so idiots don't go in and destroy it.. How ever you should be able to attain the key to have a look which would be cool
+SuperEdep yeah the key holder might see this video :) thanks for the comment :)
he wore pants !

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the interior of this one is disappointing. I did it about 2 years back. Stark bare, with nothing but an old gas bottle in the corner and some unrelated crud in the Elsan closet.
