This started as a TFT tutorial but ended as a life lesson. 11/10
As a chess player, I really like how you incorporate prepping for chess games into prepping for TFT games, they really are super similar and most people just want to jam the sicilian every game not understanding there are so many lines you can get into besides just the open sicilian and then they get stuck with AP items and are like "man I can't do my thing anymore" (i know it was a mess but I hope I got you there)
I've played TFT on and off since it came out. Kinda depending on the set and how enjoyable it was. Since League has been awful, I decided to focus on TFT for a while.
Was hovering around gold, until I watched Bunny's "how to play XYZ comp" videos. I hit Diamond last night.
Thanks for all the info and effort you put into your videos!
Same here. I've never played TFT before, only LoL. Since LoL has been literal crap, I started playing TFT for the first time in LAN. Bunny's duelist guide took me to D3, and I saw shurkou doing the Kaisa + Threats. I force these two every game and usually get top 2-4, rarely top 1.
Kai sai threats is good, but other times you have to switch up your comp to get first. So, when I run Recon, I could get rid of the 4 recon synergy, and add in Fiddle/Leona/Urgot/Morde
Or if it's possible, I could throw in Fiddle and Urgot together for that AoE CC combo.
Used to be Gold, starting watching Bunny, got to hardstuck 0LP Masters set 7 & 7.5 and now I'm 600 LP GM set 8! Thanls for the content bunny! Excited to get to chally!
This is actually what was my advice for literally any game there is, vod reviewing is giga op, especially if u are low cuz u can get to top 1% or higher with just copying someone else.
On top of this - get a trusted person or a couple trusted people that you review each other's play, talk tendencies and strategies you've seen. Widen your net, and get different perspectives that might pick things out from your own play that you miss.
If they question your decision making, explain your thought process as they question it. Be open to being challenged, and it will up your mentals a ton.
I'm newer to TFT, but was top 20 in Horus Heresy Legions for a long while, and having a Discord crew reviewing each others play and bringing insights from what they saw in the meta was huge
Thanks to your videos I got to masters this set(started a month ago) and now it's time to hit challenger
Amazing!
Great video. IMO one thing that’s important is to play out the new patch yourself before watching vod’s of top players. For one, it is important you understand how units and comps interact with each other, before you just try to copy the “best” boards. For example, a anima squad board often has alistar for mascot trait with Nasus. If you get anima+1 and decide to drop nasus, there is no reason to play alistar over Leona. Yet people who just copy comps won’t understand this, and will play alistar because the comp tells them to. There are also times where you’re ahead of the meta, but if the comp you’re comfortable on is not considered s tier, you shy away from it. I climbed 600 lp from playing the old Kaisa/Vayne reroll before other people realized how broken it was.
Current master edging to GM and Bunny dropping this gem, let’s get it
Nvm got a job and university, guess I’ll be master and happy with it
@@dhirajthapa5797 real priorities
I appreciate this video. I've been struggling to get past low masters for a while now despite hitting gm other patches, and it makes sense now how top players are able to get to the top so quickly and stay up there. I probably won't start grinding vod reviews for 6 hours, but I will definitely keep that in mind and maybe go through a few vods here in there.
How to actually win: Study
Me:
Ewww no think, just win
got to masters on 3 sets just one tricking broken comps (kog reroll on set 5.5 sivir hextech on 6.5 and graves seraphine on 7.5) and the Basic for that to work is to have a go-to opening comp to force every game. Once yoy get a go-to opening and a go-to one trick comp, you climb (ofc you wont get first every game and sometimes you will get unlucky and get bot 4)
I am at discord where are challengers from my region and my country and they sometimes do teach me how to be better (i am grandmaster now and looking to hit challenger) . I think its better to develop your playstyle rather than copy someone else bcs even when they couch me there are few thing they tell me to do that lost me game and maybe if i listen to myself i would do better . Anyway nice tip i would recomend too
i watched 1 video of yours and got my first win. great analysis as always.
@18:36 lol he really called me out 💀
Best TFT guides ever. Took me to diamond and this is my first set 😀.
Do I need to memorize comps or create my own?
Is it in any way possible for you to recommend certain specific VODs we can learn alot from? Especially for those who might not have as much free time, it's someitmes difficult to learn from a random VOD where the streamer maybe highrolled super hard and thus led to not that much to learn.
Newest ones
Also you can skip the high roll games. Yet another advantage for vods
Love this advice, both for TFT and for applications in real life! Thank you so much!!
"A lot of the top TFT players are software engineers who work from home and don't actually do anything." +1
Just hit master for the first time last week and actually feel good about it, but hitting challenger would feel even better 😅.
My problem with this method is that I work full-time+ and I only have max about 2h each day to put into TFT.
So you tell me that I can't get challenger cause I have not enough time?
That sounds kind of demotivating.
But on the other hand, if I still manage to get challenger with this big difference in time investment it would feel even better.
@12:21 l laughed 💩
How many games is a decent amount to see progress in your climb?
I would say 100 games. 50 if you are extremely good
Actually good advice! Thank you for this.
Bro I’m GM in normal league. Reached GM in tft first time playing after a month lmao. It’s easy af. Didn’t even know stats existed. If you play tft 3-5 games a day with normal IQ, you will teach Diamond. If you also highelo in league you will reach GM.
this carries over very well into other games too
Wait, so you're recommending that we watch and analyze videos? Crazy talk! Thanks for the vid :D Very helpful actually.
how dare they pour their milk before the cereal.....thanks for the info! I love the deep thought tactics and flexibility invloved with TFT thanks for all you do
What madman would pour milk in before cereal?
Learned so much from you in past XX months, thanks for everything!
Hey, I live in korea but am not fluent in korean. Should I still watch Korean challengers? or just watch NA?
Bebe872 plays in kr kinda often (or at least used to)
Yes. I watch them muted for the most part
@@BunnyMuffins thanks 🙏
He's calling me out at 18:35
Volume?
I really do want to do this to get better at tft. but honestly this is my unhealthy addiction. i have a full time job and im still working on getting certain licenses fiduciary brokers etc. love the content though and i can apply it to my job as well. Im an accountant and real estate agent at the moment.
i need to put my real life stuff first... but you putting this out makes me really want to focus on getting better at tft on my day off rather than doing my online courses
What website are you using at 16:01?
That's lolchess
Even in tft the capitalism Decideswho is gon be challenger and who ganz get higher than master. I wanna die fr
Its a good way, but dishsoap? The guy always highroll or get what he need before loosing the game...
I like the cereal and milk example :D
I LOVE YOUR CONTENT, MORE OF THESE PLS ~ SUBSCRIBER FROM PHILIPPINES
To get challenger you must install Raid.
I feel attacked about your point of software engineers who don 't do anything except play tft all day
Ok so maybe link chinese streamers
I love raid shadow legends
how do people have no job ?!
Bunnymuffins,i hope you read this, you changed my tft game play in so many ways, this week i was trying different comps and with a lot of difficulty i managed to almost get to diamond, with only few lp left to climb, then i started watching you play and teach different comps, and with great pride i can tell you that i lost 86lp by going 6th,7th and 8th for 3 games straight and went back to plat 2,thank youuuu sooo much!!!
Pin me for no reason.
Next video I got you. I can’t for this one
@@BunnyMuffins okay man, I'll remember it!
'Watching good players play will make you a better player'
Well no it won't, since it's based on the premise of understanding what they do + why they do it + what are they looking for at any given time etc etc etc.
What you should be saying is: Watching good players play will give them more viewers.
sry for the dislike but i have to get my algorythm away from raid shadow legends.....and i just hate this ad so imo u earn it. good video though
Halfway through the video and I can already say that you did a good job on this one, im currently struggling to get past d2 and this will surely help alot thanks.
did it
how high are you now ?
Our boy got the Raid bag. Happy for you! Great video as always
Raid is literally sponsoring anything, i remember getting their first offer with like 100 follower and like 5 average viewer on twitch😂
@@soundgamex3378 surely thats true Kappa
Are you going to be one of the 500 who actually does this? Are you gonna be one of the 200 who actually hit it?
your videos are so helpful & im learning a ton!! i have no plans to try and get to challenger, like you said im not someone who has the time & energy i can spare for that, but i really enjoy climbing in my spare time and your videos helped me get from bronze 3 to plat 1-2!! i really appreciate you sharing what you know and your teaching style works really well for me, its very easy to understand, so thank you!
first (I rang the bell)
Gg
Damn... i'm really gratefull that found this vid. Depending on person this material can really be life changing. Thank you for doing your thing! :)
Totally agree on the fact that there's various types of players. It all depends on what you want.
I have a full time job and highest I've hit was Masters Set 3 other than that I'm averaging Platinum/Diamond and I'm completely fine with it.
After I hit my ranked "goal" I usually start playing normal trying different funny comps.
actually i learned one of the best life lessons from this video. truly eye-opening stuff. i mean i deep down knew this stuff already but now it really hits me. theres a reason for everything so if someone is top whatever in whatever field, find out why theyre there. like everyone has their secrets but they dont have to reveal them, i can just find them out myself
"good artists copy, great artists steal." is once again proven to be true
Giga cringe raid shadow legends plug...
So all this video is saying in 30 minutes is watch top 10 VODs wow
Coming back to this video 2 months later after climbing from Master to Challenger for my first time ever! Thank you for the great insights and guides, you're a legend! :)
Congrats, man
okay, on the 10th of april i watched this video hardstuck in low gold, i followed half of the advice and went to lolchess and peeked at a profile of someone who was climbing very fast in euw and i realized they were using jhin/ 5 renegade. I then proceeded to force this comp (which tbh is easy hardly contested) and in 5 days im now plat so thanks? im sure if i actually commited 100% I could climb higher
Watch vods and copy metas. Got it.
I have been able to reach at least Platinum 4 every set, but this one is probably the hardest time I've had....
I've been bouncing back and forth between Gold 3 and Gold 1, so I'm hoping this will help push me the rest of the way, and maybe I can finally make the climb to Diamond. 😉
Literally just force mech/ace, any of those sett comps = free LP. Climbed out of gold forcing jax last patch, now climbing thru plat with this sett strat
@@elijah1110 that gets nerfed in like...20 hours from now.
@@craigcj5953 can confirm, I’m here from the future
Decided to try this, downloaded last Dishsoap's vod, «I'm smurfing in platinum lobby and wanna play today some random sh!t». Love it XD Still, it may be even more interesting to watch top-1 play some non-standard, altgough muting is definetely not an option in that case.
what if their vods are private? does anyone know a way to get around that?
Just watch someone else
Not am I not good enough, there's no chance I can play this game 10+ hours a day. Or EIGHTEEN hours? Goodness, I could not.
My sanity would crack long before I sniff Master, let alone Challenger lol
Another tip no one actually says, u should watch ur vods/other ppl vods with a objective, maybe is bc u are struggling with early game, maybe is ur econ, and just focus on that, if not then is too much to take from the vod
Watched this video to get good at TFT but then realized at the end that I should probably git gud on programming cause I'll graduate in a few months and gonna try to be hired for a job. Kinda depressing but it is what it is
LOL, nobody in the TOP #10 of LAS streams on twitch
Actually last week i started playing my openings just like Magnus Carlsen. Pawn to g4/g5 on move 1 every game.
came for TFT guide. left with invaluable life advice that i can apply to a new skillset and become one of the best at it. wow
Wow this is genuinely one of your best vids of all time dude. I never even thought of studying games like this, thank you
I like how he always put gold before silver in his thumbnails
How to get good: watch more content. I see what you’re doing Bunny 😂
20:04 And then there are people who are mouthmixing cereals
If you put milk in before cereal you are a freak. Period.
you are the goat for dropping this vid
for sure cereal and then milk
GOOD GAME 🐼🐼🐼🐼
thanks for the film !
smart video idea!!!
I wish I had the time to push for things. I do think what you're saying here is correct. I always feel stronger in my game after watching high level players in any game whether it be TFT or Pokemon.
You do have the time, but you just need to be even more efficient.
@@dominikjors169 I think being even as efficient as possible having maybe 3 hours a week is not enough. That's roughly 6-8 games? It'd be crazy to think I could climb that much.
@@SkellyBobRoss Ok, 3 hours a week is crazy low. But if you have so little time, because you have kids, you can just teach them Tft.
Would you prefer top 4s, bottom 4s, or just random games? Thanks for the good videos as always. Got Master last set as a first time player following you and Maskoff's videos almost religiously. Cheers
A fellow mask off enjoyer, a man of taste
Random games are probably best, as long as you’re watching a top player it’ll be fine
If the top .0001% is as obtainable by anyone as you say, it'd mean the game isn't that competitive. As an example, in Brood War, practice really only took a person so far; there're people who practiced as much as some of the top players who couldn't even come close to them since the game had such a high skill ceiling. Is the skill expression in TFT so low that practicing for a month and memorizing some openers gets you to the top echeleon? That'd be super disappointing if it actually were true, but luckily I don't think it is. I don't think it's even true for chess which has a lower skill expression than TFT.
I'd find the title much less disconcerting if it were, "How to ACTUALLY improve at TFT"
You're right. you should never ever ever ever try anything remotely difficult, especially with any type of plan. You should just give up completely, because you'll never make it, and if you do, it's only because the endeavour wasn't hard enough and wasn't "worth" trying to achieve. I would love to see how you achieve nothing over the next five years. Please come back and update us.
@@craigcj5953The point is that if anyone can achieve the top, it undermines what it means to be at the top (in anything). Not everyone can be a Magnus Carlsen and this is precisely why he’s admired. The same is true with say Flash from BroodWar, or pick any sport with a competitive environment. The consistent high skill expression in a highly competitive environment (that is, with people spending the same amount of time training) is why we revere these players. So if it’s true I can get to the top 250 players in one month in this game, it makes watching top players less exciting for me. But again, I don’t think that’s actually true. And I’m happy it’s not.
Hi noob
Why are you introducing yourself
Really awesome video! I just started playing TFT the last 2 weeks and I went from iron to gold 1 using your guides so far, not only is this great for getting better at games but Its a great way to look at life in general. Its awesome advice! I also love the chess references since me and my friends just started to learn chess together
