golfer you guys were talking about that putted with his wedge is robert streb. putted the entire back 9 of the final round of the greenbrier with his wedge. he made 3-4 birdies on that 9 including like a 25 footer and 12 footer on the 18th to tie the clubhouse leader. he's currently tied for fourth at the open! played golf with him when i was young. crazy good and even nicer of a guy

***** you're right about the ball not shaping as much with the wind behind you. I learned that this week when I saw that video showing the magnus effect on a spinning basketball dropped from a dam. Hitting into the wind would increase the effect because its like the ball is going faster....#windymagic

They do own the land right of 9th, used to be holes over there, but lost due to costal erosion. Think 7 and 8 are new holes from 60s or 70s.

In all fairness this looks to be a tough course. Narrow fairways high rough. Doubt if I could finish as I doubt I could find my golf balls in that rough. Think you guys are playing well as you only get to play once a week or so.

Fairways look narrow! I'd be nervous. Maybe because I spray the ball everywhere off the tee...

Nice course.
But another example of why there is soooo much slow play.
Two yards off the Fairway and ten minutes looking for your ball (even worse your partners).
Madness! poor shots should be penalised but not at the expense of a reasonably timed round of golf.
Put us 15-20 handicappers on there and there would be more time hunting balls than the rest of the round put together.
