  • This video from Waters & Stanton Ltd demonstrates their Hi-Match XFL RF transformer for feeding an end fed half wave antenna. The demonstration shows how it can be used with a KX2 or indeed any transceiver up to 100W.

    Will this transformer resonate part of the signal and consume some of the power? I am not referring to tiny parasitic resistance loses of the windings. I am referring to actual LC resonance of a tank circuit with significant power losses at the antenna.

    Is the Hi-Match XFL available?

      Hi Ed,
      I decided not to make it commercially as I do not have the facilities myself. I have an eye problem so would need to job it out. But appreciate the enquiry. 73s Peter.
