This track, based on an original idea from Jamie, was made into a full-length song on Bruce & Jamie's new EP with Thomas Kercheval (WKW): Hands Across The Ocean. It was also earlier used in the Big Country track: All Lay Down
@@dominiquebonnasseau5055 Thomas Kercheval isn't a Big Country singer. Have now been 3. Stuart, Mike Peters for which they had to detuned a key to match his voice and Simon Hough who is absolutely brilliant and same vocal range as Stuart but isn't copying or trying to be Stuart.
Bruce must have taken so many tips from Stuart. A truly underrated guitarist in his own right. Stuart and Bruce were the best guitar pairing to ever come out of Scotland.
Folks.. Don't make the mistake of saying this track is typical "Big Country".. It isn't. It's Bruce Watson sound. 1/4 of Big Country... with a nod to the other 3/4's. All 4 members of the original Big Country had an effect on how BC sounded.. Bruce has drawn on this and with his son has created a wonderful track.. Meant to add.. Stuart was the "face" of Big Country but the other members, Bruce, Tony, and Mark should not be forgotten. They helped make Big Country an amazing band.
@@JesusChristisfake True. People tend to forget it was Stuart and Bruce formed Big Country and Bruce is now the only original member left. Different line up before recorded The Crossing.
Can't we just have a CD with tunes like this on it? Just bash it out in the loft studio and slap it onto CD - no need to go the expensive studio time route. It sounds absolutely blinding.
I shaved my head 3 weeks ago. before I looked like Billy Idol, before that, I had hair to the middle of my back and a full beard and people crossed the street so they didn't walk by me. The great thing about being in your 50s is; doing what you want and telling people to go fuck themselves if they don't like it.
Have seen Big Country so many times - ever since the 1983 Crossing the Country tour ...OMG I love this - it reminds me of the original sound particularly the Restless Natives soundtrack - absolutely brilliant!!! Am looking forward to November at the Waterfront!
They are brilliant live. Simon has same vocal range as Stuart but isn't trying to be him or copy him. Met him when went to see his band and he's a really humble and lovely guy.
Awesome lads Restless Natives is one of my all time Fav Films, was just talking about it last week when i was in Glasgow, everyone forgets the Old Anderson Bus Station
Gracias. ..
Sorry, my nearly greetin here. I loved Big Country's music so much. It stirred something in me that no other Scottish band could. Thank you Bruce and Jamie for posting this wee masterpiece. Love fae Fife ❤️
I feel like this piece of music tells such an amazing story and riles up so many emotions. This is what music is meant to be! Stuart knew that, so did Bruce, and now Jamie has proven he gets it too.
I love that. as I am watching this, I am thinking "That is easy" but putting the simple guitar lines together is magical. I loved this band, as a guitarist, I wish they wouldn't have gone away. I think of them every sunny day in winter and think "I can see the sun in wintertime"
It's nice to see father and son play together like that. It's also great what talent and joy they both have in music. Hopefully Bruce has a nice milestone birthday on March 7th, with lots of fun. Everyone stay healthy. Greetings from Germany
I think there is no more pride in life than playing with your own son. I'm sure Jamie will also be proud of his father as Bruce was an excellent guitarist who was part of one of the most important rock bands. I hope the Watson saga continues for many centuries.
My fave band of all time. Because of this I have a real soft spot for the Pars #dafc and I’ll be holding my euro trilogy art exhibition at the club on March 21st 2020. Please come along Bruce
Nice sound Watson's, well done on that. Cheers from Tasmania and all the best to you both and the family. PS As Gary Stewart said some more Bruce TV mate, please.
I discovered Big Country over 10 years ago by picking up a CD in a charity shop. When I got on my player I thought: who's stupid enough to give this away

Oui, c'est excellent , pourquoi il t'a 2 chanteurs de Big country,un officiel l'autre pas,c'est quoi le problème ?

Bruce & Jamie scavenging off the scraps of Stuart Adamson's corpse - but no change there for the Watson family...
