Great video mate, imperfection‘s like what you got there, I usually, just flood the crack with those little cheap tubes of Superglue, and put sanding dust in, when dry sand it down flush, if the crack or split is deep, it sometimes takes a couple of goes, it does a pretty serviceable job, if you use the sanding dust from the wood that you are Turning, it's almost not noticeable.
Thanks very much for your comments mate I appreciate it all, I have never used super glue for that and I have seen people do it, literally I could have probably turned another 1 mm away and it would have been gone, but I reminded myself it's a file handle not a display piece, and if I didn't say anything the footage didn't really show it anyway, thankyou regards Arthur.
