Thanks a million
awesome job mate learned a lot from you
Very helpful. Thank you 👍👍
Just a little something for tose saw files, take an old highlighter pen from your kids/wife etc. Pull out the nub, fill with epoxy from a syringe and install file. And you have a Hi-vis handle.
Thanks for sharing!! Might have to give that a go. The more tools I buy the more files I need
Wish we were neighbors man
Thanks..I think 😂😂😂
Corn cob makes a perfect file handle. The first time I used anything else was in high school shop class!
I'm genuinely curious. Like the corn you eat? The core of a cob of Maize?
I too must know of this☝️
sorryi didn't get back earlier, yes the core of dry maiz makes a good file handle. The pith is easily pierced by the tang and the outside is soft and gentle on the hands.
Very nice no turn vid. Glad I found it
Thanks for watching. I tend to do this for most of my files as its quicker than getting out the lathe sometimes
Very good thank you so much
You are most welcome
Well done Sir. Great vid!
Glad you liked it!
Awesome vid man ⚒️
Thanks for watching.
Very helpful. Thank you!
Thanks. Glad it helped
Put wax on the handle over the oil. It keep them nice.
Thanks for the tip
Another good ferrule is the brass from a used 20-gauge shotshell.
Thanks for that I must try it the next time I find one
Don't necessarily need a farrell / ferrel?
Could instead use plastic bottle cordage, and some heat to tighten it in place. Worse for in-hand feel, and heavy use, but can straight up replace the need for a new handle, if you've got a split handle and wanna keep it.
"Ferrule," in case you're still interested. As opposed to Farrell, who's an actor, or feral, that's usually a cat.
no lathe? you're speaking my language brother
Bench sander?
Works too.... Really well...in fact you can see one in the background if you look hard enough 😅😅
It’s a ‘chisel’.
Thanks. Never noticed the typo
