I can't understand any love this got. It was a cluster fuck fever dream, that some perceived as being much deeper than it was. That ending was equally WTF and bad. Him narrating "Spring breakk. Spring breakkk." Over and over, while the girls get shot up.
it was the funniest damn film I've seen in a while. I streamed it with my friends last night and we spent the whole movie ROASTING it. my god. I've been on RUclips for like 14 years, haven't made a single goddamn video, but I am SO compelled to make a video essay completely obliterating this dumpster fire.
One of the rare times I’ll say this….giving the spill crew the middle finger for not liking this movie Turns 10 today!!! One of my top movies of 2013! Met all of my expectations Director Harmony Korine explores a big part of American culture in the party lifestyle starring Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Benson, and Rachel Korine making it very visceral The movie has an incredible soundtrack while also mixed with a touching score, the locales are activity-filled, the style of the title is pretty cool being it’s made of things like palm trees and flamingos in neon lights, although some of the editing is weird because it keeps jumping back and forth plus the dialogue can get repetitive It is more style over substance yes James Franco gives a stand out performance as this guy that runs the streets filled with neon lights and splendors galore You see why these people do what they do so they can learn what’s good for them in the end There’s fun to be had but Harmony Korine also explores the dark side of things whether it’s partying too hard, violence, rape or even worse….. He observes and deconstructs the whole spring break mythos It’s good to have fun but sooner or later we return to the real world, it’s a chance to be free to be different, we know where we belong and where we don’t, we have to be able to find ourselves in places we don’t normally go, we can be better by being the best we can be, the key to happiness is maybe just being a food person Whatever the case this lifestyle is an addictive thing that’s hard to break away from since it’s forever embedded into our culture and we can’t help but be drawn to it Even the music itself encompasses the rowdiness of a crime drama about excess and the pressures of 2010 teen culture, several score pieces even are the foreboding tone and the key to sobering up This was the first indie film from A24 Studios launching many more successes and I still love that it succeeded mixing bikini clad women, guns, EDM tunes, and trekking through the ups and downs of lewd behavior

Man, this movie was garbage.
I loved the film. It is not perfect, I was bored for a while, but the style is so great
