    Thanks for this information. My Z930M steering arms are difficult to open or close (bring Together) when I want to get into or out of the seat. Is there an adjustment to make the steering arms easier to open and close? They are very tight. My other older Z just flips open or close with almost no effort. Thanks

    Those steering adjustments are a lot easier than most mowers. Some brands take quite a bit of trial and error to get close to right.

      They are pretty easy in these. Most of them come in with them out of alignment and I will normally adjust them while driving on flat pavement going to our test field. Customers always appericate it.
      Sometimes one hydro might be worn out more than the other side and not able to keep up with the other side.

    My z445 those bolts in front only adjust the full travel of each arm ,it looks like I will have to adjust the length of the rods that connect the arms to the transmission,and it does not look like much fun.Since testing shows a little wheel creep,but in the same direction with handles in neutral,I will leave as is.I do have question,what causes one wheel to pull harder than the other enough harder so as not able to catch up with more lever movement.

    Thank you for your information on adjusting the steering and the handles. I have a another question regarding myJohn Deere z938m steering handles. At the base of each handle where the control arm starts to go through the frame My handles are loose. Without the mower running I can sit in the seat and wiggle the The handle back and forth. To me there is more play than there used to be. Have you run across this and how can it be tightened? Thank you in advance Paul

    Thanks for the video. Do you know what would be causing low power in reverse on one side, on my Z-930?

    • @Mechanical_Mind
      @Mechanical_Mind  4 месяца назад

      Either air, wear, or water. Air or water in the oil or worn out parts in side the transmission. Is it whining alot when it gets hot? How many hours on the mower?

    Thank you for sharing this video. You do make things look easy. What do you recommend for the front tires, air or solid ones? Thank you for your help.

    • @Mechanical_Mind
      @Mechanical_Mind  Год назад

      Solids and tweels definitely! They are expensive but so is constantly having flat and needing to stop and repair them. If you are a landscaper running air tires Id carry a plug kit and air compressor on your truck.

    i have a Z 920 A john deere zero turn ( 8 yrs old 500 hrs ) . The left arm seems to have slop when I bring it in to the other arm. I t seems to track ok , but when you extend it out and in and it seems to be loose. the right side arm has more resistance. The John Deere mower tech told me that with wear the fork of the arm can wear and create a sloppy or loose steering arm. He said there was no adjustment to the fork. Just wondering what your thought might be. would replacing the fork arm atachment be the only solution? Thank you for any response. enjoy your videos. very helpful

    Just bought New z330r today.. moving the stickers in reverse is awful noisy like a whining sound.. also the left stick has a slower response and tighter feel than the right.. any suggestions for this? Ive got 1 hour on the machine

      Take it to the nearest JD dealership to be fixed under warranty.
      Even if you bought it from Lowes or Home Depot, take it to the JD dealership. Call the dealership first. Some of them can pick it up and drop it off for free for warranty work.

    Hey bud mine makes a wining sound turning right but not left. Could the hydric fluid be low on that side or is it all in one tank ?

    • @Mechanical_Mind
      @Mechanical_Mind  5 месяцев назад

      They share the same fill tank / reservoir tank. It's possible that one side could be low on oil (only if the fill tank is empty). The whining noise could be air or water in the right side transmission, or it could need internal repairs. The first step is to change the oil and filter. Inspect the oil for plastic or metal pieces in the old oil and filters. If you find pieces of metal or plastic, it's time to remove that transmission for repairs. I have a video showing all of that.
      If the oil just looks like it had water in it, just replace the oil and filters.

    I changed the fluid and filters in my 950M and followed your procedure. It does want to drift while in neutral so this video shows how to adjust for that but it seems to be jerking now when engaging forward or reverse. Any advice what it could be? Thanks in advance 😃
