    Nice fan, for it to be from Walfart and "made in the China". What do you think of this vs the TPI fan? From a quality standpoint, I'm sure the TPI trounces this one, but what about from a performance standpoint? They both seem to be rather noisy, and with not much variation of speeds between the 3...

    • @JordanU
      @JordanU  4 года назад

      I'll have to use them side-by-side at some point. I'm sure this one isn't as powerful as the TPI, but it doesn't seem like it's that far off either.

    I think 5280 cfm is under rated. It moves A LOT more air than that! I would definitely say this beast moves AT LEAST 6000 CFM of air .

    • @JordanU
      @JordanU  2 года назад

      It has a high velocity to it but I don't think the volume is all that much. I don't trust the CFM ratings provided by the manufactures, they're all over the place and don't seem accurate or credible.

  • @solomonburgess8196

    You could use that as a wall fan or a floor fan or a garage fan it made in China and it still a powerful floor fan. And its blow a lot of air and that’s a nice floor fan. But the fan Motor needs oil so it can run faster as a good as new like a good floor fan.

    Rebadged HDX fan.
    In my opinion low speed could’ve been a bit more gentle.
    Low speed sounds like a super table fan on the medium speed and high speed on high setting for the super

    • @JordanU
      @JordanU  3 года назад

      HDX, like Mainstays, is just a name. These are sold under quite a few names.
      I agree, the low speed is too fast and there's not enough difference between the speeds. That's how most of the fans are today.

    I cannot not agree more, stuff made in China is tremendously horrible I'd rather have something made in Japan for my fan collection. I have a vintage toastmaster box fan and that very old box 1950s box fan that I found in the dumpster, when I cleaned it after having it in my garage for a couple of months I looked underneath the fan and it said made in the USA , it just shows how vintage fans are better then modern pieces of crap fans are.
