In the Drawing Codex and in youtube's videos you talk and shows importance of sketching. Can you creato video or series how to make sketches? Or maybe can you give to us recommendation about that? And thank you for realy good free videos at youtube. I have inspiration after watching.
Totally irrelevant, but could you do art fundementals on facial expressions? Been watching your head reconstruction using the loomis method on repeat, but noticed (atleast from the books i've seen) loomis does not cover facial expressions.
he does but very shortly , id recommend simply searching for facial expressions, whether photos or stylized drawings depending on what face designs you are into, then they go about quite easily
@@Gm-ce5kg that is a valid approach. but i have doing that and often find it hard to illustrate curtain expression from various angles. references only gets 80% of the way. something like a smile would be easily to draw from various angles but as soon as you try and get more expressive, things get difficult. relying solely on reference means that you either get the right angle or the right expression. it is rare to get both
You mean the Brushes I use in Photoshop for my comics etc? I think pretty much everything I use day to day on CORE is included in my free QuickStart guide: www.thedrawingcodex.com/quickstart There are some texture brushes in there as well which I added to go with one of the videos I have here on RUclips about adding texture to your art. My whole process and teaching methodology is about simplifying your tools... and I do exactly that :)
Never gonna have to apologize for long videos lol, Most of us follow you cause we are serious about the craft as well. We will take ever minute you want to give lol coughmentorshipcough (sorry had too)
Hi Codex..great lesson,it's a tuff world for the uneducated. To follow a video game idea etched in stone an artist might step on some toes, but your ideas when applied will help them keep their job. On a lighter note I'm getting more into carictures and cartooning, I know super right🦸 oh'oooo, I forgot this is very relevant 😎

1:09 is why you came here today. I woke up and missed the nostalgic intro. If you ever take it out your videos I’m never coming back.
