When Rose was talking about 15 minutes, a lover, and a stranger, I think she was talking about the 15 minutes that Colby was speaking with her alone. She probably felt comforted with being spoken calmly to, and being asked about her story and how she felt probably made her feel loved. Which seems to be what she's really looking for

It almost seemed like rose was starting to tell her story of how she died “ran” but then at 57:56 when Mackie felt something pull her sleeve and Rose continued to say “it was night.” Followed by “yeah.” As in she touched mackie - cause she was wearing red. Like rose was saying “it was nighttime I was running away wearing red.” They asked if she didn’t like it when people wore red and she said no, but then immediately asked why Mackie was taking off the red outfit. So what if thats the moment where the second spirit comes in - asking “why” are you taking off the red and then a few seconds later introducing themselves saying, “hi” at 58:43. Proceeding to say “it’s him, he’s here.” As in Roses pimp or another person keeping her at the hotel, despite how much she “dreams of-“ leaving or whatever.
That’s when they start hearing the noises from the other room - I think this is a male spirit or a pimp - and he’s wanting the girls to join him, “here.” And wants the girls to “close their eyes” cause he’s coming “towards” them and he wants them to “relax.” And then the male spirit is trying to caress Mackie to calm her down and rose cuts in saying, “they(the men) were interested.” And “why are you here?” Cause lots of prostitutes didn’t have a choice of career, they were forced into their “work” cause she answers Sams question saying she’s not mad that they’re there - but they need to “get out.” Or it’ll be “just like my-“ just like how she ended up being betrayed by her lover.
I don’t know I just don’t get a negative vibe from Rose - until she says she was betrayed. She genuinely doesn’t want the girls to end up like her and the man “he left.” So this is their chance to “get out” and those “15 minutes can.” with Colby was enough to make her feel loved. I think that’s what the rest of the session is talking about too, a stranger can be a lover Colby was nicer to her then her own lover.

It sounds like Rose/Evelyn(e) was not seeing the two as competition, to me it sounds like to her, the hotel was still the same as when she died. So the bodyguards' spirits are still there, carrying on with their duty without knowing it, and Rose knows the place changed as she is warning the two girls to "escape" while they have their chance. Rose wasn't threatening them, she was trying to convince them to escape with their chance.

Whenever I got an ad, I was literally getting jumpscared😂
I got the feeling during the Estes session when rose was saying stuff to the girls like “you’ll end up like me” when they asked what happens if they don’t leave, and “he left, go now” after they talked about the “bodyguard/pimp/terry” spirit Sam described that she wasn’t threatening the girls, she was warning them. Like telling them nows your chance to escape so you don’t end up this way.
Sex workers are still mistreated here in 2022, I imagine they weren’t treated much better 100 years ago in a desert brothel. Maybe she was strong armed into “cheating” back in the day by those who profited from her work and it got her killed? Maybe she thinks they were there as new girls and she was trying to get them away from the “guard”.
If you think about it, her and the guy werent dating but he wanted to be her exclusive client. Either she was just lying to him and keeping the fantasy going so he paid still while thinking they were exclusive or maybe wasnt paying enough to be the only client but didn't want to break his heart. Doesn't sound like a fair deal to me either way unless he offered a huge amount of money more than she made doing things her normal way, but we don't know what would have become if she said no I don't want to be exclusive, if he would have found another girl worker or just said ok then just regular rate, etc details matter because maybe she felt forced into it and was losing money and was going to see guys on the side to keep making ends meet in regular life.
It would make since that Terry was her husband. Because whenever he left then Rose was saying "he left, now go" so she was warning them that Terry would probably try to hurt or kill them too. So maybe she wasn't thinking competition she was just being nice by warning them🤔

Hot take: The prostitute industry is literally just a competition of who can F the most people and in a way doesn't explain why she'd scratch and pull hair and take in consideration none of the evidence provided shows she has ever regretted it. Okay, hear me out. Maybe Rose was trying to warn the girls. As someone who had an office and seems like she ran the brothel or at least was the closest to the main boss, her sole purpose is to protect the girls in her care. So when Rose said "just like my.." and then "tactic" and "think" it sounds like she's trying to get you to put the pieces together. Maybe she's scared of the main boss lashing out at her for telling them. She's using a scare tactic to get you to leave so they don't end up like her. It seems like she's being rude/mean but she has to put on a facade in front of the Man who came in the room!

Personal Theories:
Theory 1: During the Estes method, it made me think that when Colby said "Get out", whoever was talking through Colby was telling a male spirit in the room to get out. Then, Colby says, "He left" which could've been the worker spirit "terry" leaving. So maybe Rose just wanted to work with the people who are in the room (You guys) and as "Terry" was walking in, she started telling him to leave because she was working and giving him an explanation that it was for the money so that he can leave them alone.
Theory 2: I also believe that Rose is trying to protect Mackie and Amanda. During the Estes Method, Rose could've been trying to ignore the girls and tell them to go away because she knows that if they stay, they will end up like her as was said during the Estes Method. That could explain why Rose was telling Terry to go away and make it seem like she was working so that he wouldn't interrupt. Or there could've been a third spirit in the room during the Estes Method that was being bold. It could've been one of the miners from the basement and he touched Mackie's hair and that could've been why Colby said "Get out" which was Rose telling him to get out to protect Mackie and Amanda. She's a spirit of a ghost prostitute who cares about her pay but understands when guys are going too far.
Theory 2 is more likely because why would she hate women if a man killed her and back in the olds days the men would’ve been riding for days and when they finally get there they would need to be pleasured and some of them got really violent against the women so I think that it is more likely that rose would protect them rather than not like Amanda and Mackie and is warning them to leave
Honestly I think of that too like she was telling girls to leave the room or they would end up like her and rose was not the one who was touching their hair there were other spirit too. Maybe one from the graveyard when they welcomed them to come with them.

So, it was July 3rd when my grandma died from cancer, I do miss her very much, I went into my kitchen at 12:00AM on July 5th, I sat on a chair and said "if anyone or anything wants to communicate or make itself known, make a noise, I will wait 30 seconds for you to make a noise, after those 30 seconds I will quietly count to 5 for your last chance to make yourself known" I waited the 30 seconds and said "last chance for you to make yourself known, I will count to five" I waited a second and started counting, "1" nothing "2" nothing "3" a small knock, I said "can you do that again?" Three knocks. Then I said "may I ask you some questions? One knock for yes, two knocks for no, three for maybe" I heard two knocks so I said "okay then, I will go back to my room and if you want to we can talk tomorrow" my heart was racing and when I told my sister she didn't believe me.

That’s the feeling I got as well. The behavior towards females is to push them away to keep them safe. I don’t believe it’s about jealousy or competition. Rose/ Evelyn is trying to protect them. This is done by making them feel unwelcome or doing something to spook them into leaving.
