Glad to see 'co-sufferers'...! Mine stopped after clearing play store cache. It started reappearing later. Then I erased google cache and app data. Problem resolved for now.
That's all I needed to to also. I didn't need uninstall the update or disable anything
seems everyone got the same problem at the same time (disable Google, don't unstall it, it still keep in your setting-apps, and the problem gone for now.

THIS WORKS - uninstall all updates on your Google app by going to playstore and then sync your Google account. It stopped the popups for me

Then go back to settings, go to accounts. Go to your Google account and sync it.

Go to playstore uninstall and then update google ..this just worked for me

Omg literally everyone is having the same issue, it must be an app glitch, best thing to do is just wait for an update I guess
Suggesting people wait for an update when it is making phones nearly unusable, as well as using so much CPU that it feels like the phone is about to melt is the shittiest recommendation here.
Open the play store. Search for 'Google'. On the page for Google by Google LLC, click uninstall. That's it. Done. Fixed.
It doesn't uninstall the shitty Google app, it just uninstalls the update.

Edit: okay so I found a temporary solution.Disable the Google app for now until they fix it.
I installed the latest version... now it stopped stopping... don't know if that solved the problem, or they fixed it...
i found a solution, you will have to disable the app. Enable it once Google fixes it...

Took me almost a year once to realize my phone had been archiving my ish without my permission! 😂 smh. Pics would disappear from my reg camera app, go to google photos but be archived so I had to search n find. Smh. 4 years of College didn't teach me the basics apparently!!

This bug isnt on newer phones its mostly on phones made b4 2019
This latest issue people are facing has nothing to do with the video from a year ago. Same or similar symptom, different case and solution. Play store -> search for Google. Uninstall it. That will uninstall the update causing this.

Go play store and select Google and uninstall latest update...it's 100 percent working...just now I done it
This did not work so instead I updated the Google app and then uninstalled the updates and that's what fixed it

It's happening to my phone right now, too, like with so many others; and brought me here. But I don't think following the steps here will fix it. Might recur since it seems to be a problem on Google's end. 😔 But I'll try them anyways. Google! Goodness gracious!
@@WenkyX I don't know how to uninstall/rollback to a certain version or if that could be done. What I did was when the error prompt popped up again, I tapped App info and then tapped uninstall updates which supposedly reverted Google to factory version. That stopped the error prompts and when I looked over in the Play Store, there's now a Google app update pending download.
