Dragonic Overlord is the reason I play Vanguard. It's the reason I picked up the very first trial decks all those years ago when Vanguard started. Every time I lose touch with the game, I get right into it when the release a new iteration of DO. I love this card
I never really got to play dragonic overlord decks while they were coming out due to how expensive the deck was back then, at least imo. But when it comes to Vanguard Zero, Dragonic Overlord the Destiny and the Purge took me to the highest rank I ever got to in the game. Made me have a better appreciation for Dragonic Overlord and even led to me building a premium deck for it now.
Why yes Kris, I would love to see a Blaster Blade ranking as well! 😉 But yeah I agreed pretty much across the board with these, the Destiny and Purge was an insane time for Overlord players.
I think this is gonna be a good content, choose 1 unit and do ranking of its variants/forms, DO, Blaster Blade, Vairina's Form, Chronojet's Stride forms, etc

I'd put the V Rebirth to highest B (or even low A). It slightly changed The X - The End decks where it became a go-to overlord for The X when you get rushed, and there's some fringe decks of Dauntless - V Rebirth that shows some results last year (Antwerp BSF 2022 I think? Or was it VMC Malaysia?) Other than that, placement sounds about right.
I'll put it in low A for the sole reason of getting 4 attacks with DDD V, i got 4th play in BSF Spain 2023 Premium with that combo because nobody expects the 4th attack on the Rebirth. And as an Overlord Main and lover, i would like to put DDD V as an honorary Overlord as how good he is (his only down side was not being able to work with DOTX V because they made him with DOTX V in mind and that with the Rebirth, his +10k to a rear if you fail to check a trigger its meaningless).

Honestly speaking though if you were ranking the cards based more on there ceiling and potential once more support came out for them the list would look a little different but as far as on release I agree with everything here. Overlord the Legend would get a little bit more respect on its name because it eventually read on ride check top 5 for denial griffin/ abd salam lol. Best defensive overlord in the game.
Ya know what would be cool? Ranking every Old OG G3 (Like S1 & Maybe S2 like Gold Rutile etc) would be cool to talk about the older cards and how they were during the meta compared to how good they would be modern wise.

It's so cool hearing about each of the Overlords in their prime - all I know is of them is whatever my friend throws at me, since they're the Overlords main to my (Royals) Blasters main 😂 Like several others have said here, I'd love to see a similar video for Blasters, whether it's just Blaster Blade/MLB or all the variants including Liberators, Blaster Joker, Blaster Dark/Phantom Blaster etc. Ever since I started in Zero with Break Ride Liberators, Blasters have always been a favorite of mine to play and learn with, and I'd love to hear about their history and impact on competitive Vanguard meta. And for clans that don't have major enduring archetypes like Overlords and Blasters, maybe rank their major boss units (like ones that saw a lot of competitive play or had trial decks). It's so fun hearing you talk about Vanguard meta and learn more about all these cards (joys of being a latecomer, there's so many cards I don't know about! 😅) I could sit here for hours just listening to you talk about them!
I had a season where I played a lot of Vanquisher SPARKING and really loved the Thunderstrike keyword. Setting up a beautiful VMAX play always made me smile. How did Vanquisher do when he came out in V Premium?

Ngl, when I first started Vanguard, I only known 3 clans. Royal Paladin, Shadow Paladin, & DRAGONIC OVERLORD. We had 24 clans before, DRAGONIC OVERLORD dominated a good chunk of that period. Now we have 6 nations in OD. And we still have DRAGONIC OVERLORD the clan. Mahar, Vermillion, Gandeeva & Megalozuchi are repping Dragon Empire rn. But DRAGONIC OVERLORD is still repping DRAGONIC OVERLORD the clan. P.S. Back in G, we have 2 Kagero clans. We have DRAGONIC OVERLORD, & we have the rest of Kagero.
Will there be DP rating too? I love DP. Sadly we won't able to get future G DP support in zero now 😢😢 but i would like to see your opinion on their tier list in your future video!
My proudest/greatest moment in playing Vanguard was playing Shadow Paladin Blaster Diablo deck (G-BT06). Sets that came out after that (Luard/Ritual) Shadow Paladin no longer works well & couldn’t compete with the Metas
Wasn't base Overlord in overDress topping a lot up through set 3 or something? I remember it did fairly well because it could make good use of Tensha Stead and some of the DE generics. Wouldn't say A tier, but a solid relevant at least - otherwise, I agree with all the other placements
Yeah, i remind when i built it from VEB07 and had to put g1 PGs because the draw could mess with your restand plus it wasn't a really bad ride (the PGs that let you draw and discard 1 when placed on VG) and obviously 12 crit because we didn't have more crits. His great flaw was that The End V was awful to ride first g3 because lost a restand until you ride another copy in a deck that hardly pluses.
I have fond memories of V series DOTE. I terrorized my 25+ person locals for a whole year after he came out with my force 1 DOTE/Great deck lol. V DOTE was definitely the type of card that was a lackluster first ride unless you built your deck around first riding it though. You needed to play G1 on-ride PGs and 12 Crit since Draw triggers can turn your turn off and crits are absurd in the deck on offense. My way around the low hand size was with Spillover Dragon (a C that retired something during battle phase from V set 1), Aermo, and Sabel. Dragon-armored Buster over Berserk solved the possible lack of the 2nd DOTE for turn 4 very well. The deck was a ton of fun to play and really wish I got to go to bigger events with it.
So this RUclipsr could have put The End at The X's left, which would have been the correct way to Legion with it's mate, but chose to put it at The X's right. My disappointment is immeasurable, and my day is ruined.

My one gripe is the rebirth (v) should atleast be at A since Dauntless (v) was a thing.
