Ghandeva is just so much better than expected and really fun to play for me at least. We finally get a new dragon boss for dragon empire, and I couldn’t be happier with him!
One thing that Gandiva does well that I wish Eugene did is that it can still do things when it can’t retire or can’t retire enough. If Eugene can’t retire things he just cries.
... Gandiva feels like it already has 2-3 support waves with how freakin consistent and strong it is out of the gate. I wouldn't be shocked if this deck actually gets hit sooner then later just because of how insanely fast without a downside it is.
@@kodokutamashi1569equana wasn't Youthberks biggest issue, if anything she was a combine rusher to Eva. Sure the deck would lose some power but your win con was still unnaffected. Besides, they're not gonna restrict cards made for the deck, they're gonna restrict generics. Wouldn't be surprised to see best harvest choice restricted.
Hmm, actually both the new ridelines have high powered columns that are able to reach Persona ride level power on turn 3. Solrairon just requires full columns and is more stable while Ghandiva requires pieces to reach it but is able to exceed it. Their multi-attack is also the same with Solrairon having it build in while Ghandiva requires pieces. Wonder if this is deliberate on Bushiroad's part to counter Stride decks and Masques decks (being able to Turn 3 Persona Ride with the order if they went second).
Duh, Gandiva can destroyed Solrairon easily. That's not even competition. Solrairon also starve for souls. So he can't run beaters, because most of them don't have sc effect. The only beater is that g3 dragon

Ghandiva is definitely the stronger of the 2. And I don't know why but my experience with Solrairon is similar to Hector's in this channel, in that I keep drawing my triggers when I stack a normal unit on top of the deck...
As someone that started with the Thunderbreak Starter deck... I could not be happier that we got Ghandeva... I can tolerate the fire rather than lightning. But I'm just so happy we have our Chinese inspired armored units and dragon people!
I was on the fence about building Gandiva for Set 10, but now that I see this, I'm all in!!! I can finally feel the joy of Vanquisher in Standard, it brings me such tears of joy 🥲

Shojodoji itself isn’t really bad, just kinda weird and not as good as other stuff. It’s main problem is that the snake G3 promo completely overtakes it, it’s just so so much better
@@johnlaremy3592 He’s ok and by no means “bad” per se. It’s just that his power level is below a lot of other decks and from what I’ve heard, has some consistency issues without Forktail who is pretty expensive for some reason.
39:34 More than Eugene's lack of free retire, Gandiva also has a lot of refunding (if you did not retire, do this) so not only is the retire cheaper you also get something no matter what so the value of these skills is higher on average. Filip's right this is too much good support for a first wave of support, especially when most meta decks right now play rearguards
Ghandeva is a great deck and i honestly was surprised at how good it is despite being so new, i have already been able to topple youthberk and many other strong overdress decks with it.
I think DE deserves a good rideline right off the bat as it's current best decks are Overlord and Tamayura who are Cray Cross Epic and an Encounter. I find it funny that Eugene has the Narukami motive with him being a desert gunner but plays defensively more like Kagero while Gandiva has a Kagero motive being a Flame Dragon and all the fire but plays more offensively like Narukami.
it was my understanding if a ride card is placed outside of the vg zone and drop zone it goes back to the ride deck zone instead of any other area... am I wrong
Only if the cards go back to deck, all other zones the ride deck can exist in I believe, otherwise if you could not bind the ride deck, Shojodoji could not work as well binding his own ride line

Gosh, as someone who plays Eugene this is both sad and exciting to see Gandiva. Sad because Eugene could've been so much better if he got cards like Gandiva got sooner, but excited because now I have a new deck to look forward to building that plays similar to Eugene but is a lot better (sorry Eugene)
So close to perfection... but after playing a lot of Set 8 meta. I will happily take that the new Naru-deck has a few quirks but feels complete the first time around rather than a few sets down the road.
To be fair, orfist was a well built machine (looking at the worlds second place) I butchered it with the new stuff added in, Honest opinion, take out the new RR, new Common is not bad, take out Freiheitz, potentially add the cycle RRR or just combine rusher back

"look how they massacred my boy" lol I've been playing with all the new Orfist suport for a while now and love the cycle card (insane help in this deck) as well as Grunder. Sadly took Nuvorea out but it was the right call I think. Oh and the new RR is garbage. I had some hope at first but it isn't worth it at all
Incoming small wall of text: 8 crit, 3 draw. Found crits to be better than draws to win that much faster 4 Howling Moon, 4 Overcoming Eternity, and 3 Eclipsed for 11 orders. Currently testing 2 of the retire g3 world in place of 2 of the Eclipsed for extra removal which Orfist otherwise lacks. 4 Grunder, making sure to almost always use its retire ability to get orders back into my hand for the g3 ride, and for orfist's discard ability. Also why I run 11 worlds, good chances to drop 2 from Grunder's effect. 4 of the Cycle card. The cycle part is good if you can manage your soul well. But the big hitter is the counterblast effect because 2 orders, one for free, feels so good. First persona ride you have a chance to have 6 worlds which is lovely. 3 of the promo that soul charges 2 and can SB to summon a shadow army. Really helpful in getting that pressure and maintaining the soul. Final card is the Persona Ride Order because the deck needs persona rides to do a lot of good plays. Then your usual 3 Personas, 4 PGs. Took out Nuvorea because I'd rather have more shield value as your deck already has no shield. Maybe there is something better out there but this works for me. Especially on turn 2 with a 10k grunder, 10k vanguard, then a 20k shadow. Feels nice
Had to make a few minor changes to this deck since I made it. Ran into some inconsistency issues but the changes I made should help. Regardless Orfist isnt the best so I hope he gets some banging support soon

I tried culjameed thinking defense was important but I ran into issues of not having good attacks, so I swapped it out for the promo. Thumborino would be neat, but I get iffy about the retire part of her effect. It's a small thing but just my preference I guess. I can see her being good though

More like dungaree than vanquisher, because dungaree binds from top deck, vanquisher binds from field and hand xD
