TCM should sell their "TCM Remembers" on DVD, recorded in 10-year/decade increments. Always well done and touching. RIP to all those great actors/actresses who were so able to take us away from our troubles and this crazy world 2 hours at a time.
I watch this every year; and ever year I think: "How can we possibly continue after losing so much talent?" Every year I'm reminded that talent isn't a finite thing. Everyone can be amazing.
They should also remember the people in the film industry who passed away in 2012... Jerry Nelson / actor/puppeteer Ginny Tyler / actress/singer Richard Dawson / actor Donna Summer / singer/actress Dick Clark / actor Don Cornelius / actor Paul L. Smith / actor Frank Cady/ actor Victor Spinetti / actor Sherman Hemsley / actor Bill Rafferty / actor Gary Collins / actor

Yes,l agree too. But to my knowledge she did only one movie called "Thank God It's Friday". She should've been acknowledged anyway. Especially since her singing the Oscar winning song "Last Dance. (1978)
2012 was the best year of my life. I started the year with my first ever real girlfriend and ended the year with my second ever real girlfriend who became my wife in 2015. Its great to remember 2012 and its important to remember who passed away that year. I am not a celebrity or film maker, I am a nobody but I think 2023 is the year that I pass away too. I will miss my wife.
Yes, I'd happily buy 'TCM Remembers' DVDs too. So well done, though the entries could be a fraction longer, at least for some of those remembered each year.
I don't know if it's cause of the overuse of the backdrop, or just cause I don't know a lot of these people, but this is my least favorite I've seen. And it's not a matter of them improving with age, cause 2011 was a mile ahead. But, hey, it's ok TCM. We all have off days, or years in this case. Maybe this just meant we didn't lose many big names in 2012 (not that small names are less important). Oh, how I miss those days...

Beautifully done. Love the movie theater concept and music. One of TCM Remembers best efforts.
Hauntingly beautiful tribute.
I love the motif of the projector coming alive and taking the Stars off the screen and giving them back to the sky.
What a metaphor that is!
A superb synopsis of celebrities we lost in 2012. An award winning production in its own rights, presentation was excellent.
This really makes me miss Drive Ins

Beautiful song for beautiful people.
these remembrances are great
Jonathan Frid was more than a TV vampire. I saw him in a one-man show, and he was fabulous. He also did a Shakespeare workshop at our university. ❤❤
Davy 💓
Beautiful song
M83 Wait from 2011. Great song
I love the way TCM usually shows the best of Atlanta. The Starlight is still open.
The first movie I ever saw there was "Bridge on the River Kwai."
always love looking at these just to remember!!! and YES they should release a dvd set by year

That is quite a long list of folks that were missed.
Love the ethereal quality of the song as it applies to the montage
Ray Bradbury... I grew up on his stories. What a giant.
No Donna Summer? She was in a couple of films.

That's a crime. And she wrote several movie theme songs
Michael Clarke Duncan died 10 years ago as of today. It's been that long.
Just watched the Green Mile for the first time last night. He was superb in that film.
I first heard this song back when this video was brand new. Incredible then, incredible still.
Wow, what a masterpiece!

I hope not. She needs you❤

They should have shown more people and less crazy filler shots. 🤣
My Sweet Charlie
Susan Tyrell was so unique. Hated to hear that. All death is painful 😭

Not one of their better ones
Where is Richard Dawsom? Did I miss it?
Too much artsy movie theater, not enough people.
How sad ....a lifetime of work.....in three seconds.....SAD....that fuckin' sucks.
Unfortunately, thats how we're all going out. Ugly thought to know we are just a grain of sand in a vast desert. 😳🥺🤨😱🤔😜
need to show more of the actor and actresses and less on background shots need more vids of the great people lost of us not back ground shots
