Look across the sky on April 8, 2024 and you’ll have seen a massive object looming large on the horizon. As it followed a path across southern Ontario, it even blocked out the sun, if you watched it from the correct angle. I am, of course, talking about the 2025 Rolls-Royce Spectre. In size and weight, the Spectre lands somewhere between a Chevrolet Tahoe and a Saturn V rocket. It’s the first-ever production EV from Rolls-Royce, and though it’s quite the spectacle, you don’t need special glasses to look at it.
A $50,000 sedan feels great to drive, until you drive a $100,000 one. That $100k car feels fabulous - until you drive a $250k one. And now, dear readers, I am deeply saddened to report that a $250,000 car only feels luxurious and satisfying until you drive a $500,000 car.
