      She uses black culture to promote the idea of black women being slutty.
      In Anaconda, for example, she wears african clothes while rapping about sex, superficial things...This stereotype is very hurtful.
      She doesn't do a thing to promote african culture...I bet she doesn't know the basis of black culture.
      Being afro-descent doesn't allow afro-descents to insult black culture (in general, any culture)like white people (european people, slavery masters, etc) do.

    • @gugulethumkhize9378
      @gugulethumkhize9378 6 лет назад +63

      You didn't answer my question. I asked: "Please give me an example of white people doing 'cultural appreciation', and then show me how it contrasts from when they appropriate culture?"
      Secondly, 'white technology' is not 'white technology'; 'white technology' is black technology. All the things you claim to be yours as white people is based off of Europeans gaining from black technology and advancement. Just do some research on the Moors and how they pulled you up from the mire of the dark ages, and how you all used that for evil. Also, let's go further in Kemet and Europeans still stole EVERYTHING, plagiarised it and claimed it as their own...seems like cultural appropriation is in your blood b. Everything, even down to Philosophy, is due to black people...particularly African people. So, please do not try to take credit (and stunt) for something that is not even yours. Really do research, and don't allow your white inferiority complex, which forces ya'll to be unnecessarily braggadocio, get in the way of finding the truth.
      Once more, "Please give me an example of white people doing 'cultural appreciation', and then show me how it contrasts from when they appropriate culture?" You should be the point of reference. Answer the question and make sense this time.
      lol: 'like how blacks use white made technology. Internet, cell phone etc.'
      It's quite interesting that you can't form an opinion about yourself without involving black people. lol. Tragic. Indeed, who ARE you without black people? What is your point of reference for a good sense of self?

    To all the black people saying that black people have blonde hair too, HOW MANY BLACK PEOPLE DO YOU KNOW WITH NATURALLY BLONDE HAIR? There are white people who have coarse hair like ours so I guess it’s alright for white women to wear afro wigs. If we’re going to take that logic and reverse it.

      The Black Melanesian

    • @N9012-p6n
      @N9012-p6n 4 года назад +1

      Toto Toto are you black Melanesian? Culture is not the same as race. Not all black people share the same culture. There is no such thing as a specific black culture , or white culture or Asian culture or South Indian culture, because they are all diverse. The cultural appropriation point is, if you don’t belong to a specific culture, then don’t profit from the culture of those people. Hair is not cultural... if hair was cultural, then all the black women who have worn blonde wigs and have profited their careers wearing those , are guilty... the same with straight wigs. This would go for allll black female celebrities and millionaires, and the average alcoholic person.

    • @aliyahharmon9045
      @aliyahharmon9045 4 года назад +1

      Toto Toto They’re a separate group and because of isolation they’re genes mutated so some of them came out with blonde hair. The main reason they’re dark is because of natural selection. Like Africa, Australia is hot and sunny so being highly melanated is naturally beneficial.

    I'm unsure who the Cultural Appropriation Police are.
    When this subject comes up (and it's usually black vs white) there are always black people who have opposing views.
    So, is one black friend tells me that my cornrows are totally fine & the other says I'm appropriating, who is correct?
    I grew in in Southern Louisiana, had my hair braided by Miss Perry, a bold, beautiful black woman, since I was a baby.
    She taught me how to braid.
    So....I braid my hair! Always have.
    Now that I no longer live in Louisiana, anytime I braid my hair.....lo' & behold, someone comments on cultural appropriations.
    That.

    • @buh_its_me_yall6217
      @buh_its_me_yall6217 6 лет назад +17

      I personally don’t have a problem with a white person wearing dreads, it’s a hair style, and you shouldn’t have any problem with her wearing blonde hair. Plus, blonde hair is not exclusively something white people have.

    • @d.joseph98

      Caroline Kristiansen black women are forced to look European to make it in the industry unfortunately. For example, Amara la Negra. She was almost forced to straighten her hair or put in a weave because her Afro was not beautiful enough. Thank goodness she fought back. But I bet when a white women make her hair into an Afro, it's all of a sudden stunning. 🙄

    • @ginam1420
      @ginam1420 6 лет назад +22

      Because blonde hair is not exclusive to a white person. Black people can naturally have blonde hair whereas dreadlocks are exclusive to black people since they originated from Egypt. It’s also more complex but that’s one side of it.
