  • The all new Marriott All-Inclusive Cancun resort in Mexico just reopened after a name change and renovation in March 2024. In fact, they are still renovating certain parts of the hotel, but it is mostly functional and doesn't take away from the enjoyment of this great new resort. Join us as we review what we believe is one of the best overall resorts in the Hotel Zone of Cancun.

    Thanks for the great review. I'll be visiting in December. My wife booked and I wasn't sure what to expect until now.

      It's such a great resort for a vacation! I am still missing the taco cart out by the pool. And the craft cocktails in the lobby lounge in the evening. Enjoy.

    Are the alcohol drinks included in the prices, or are those subject to an additional charge?

    • @Passporttotravel
      @Passporttotravel  Месяц назад +2

      Drinks are included. Maybe if you asked for an expensive premium liquor, there would be an uncharge, but all regular drinks I had were included, and they were really great cocktails.

    Out of curiosity how often did they check wristbands/key cards? Going to a weeding in October, don't want to stay on resort because of cost...

      I never had mine checked, but I was wearing the band the whole time, so it was always. visible.

    We’re traveling in October. Do you know if the water park renovations will be completed by then?

      I don't know, but based on how far along they were when I was there in May, I would think they would be.

    How would you rate the beach for snorkeling? Any fish?🐟

    • @Passporttotravel
      @Passporttotravel  23 дня назад +1

      The water is a little too rough for snorkeling IMO.

    This might sound silly, but i've never been to an "all-inclusive resort", so please bear with me; are all the food and drinks REALLY free? Or are only a couple spots actually free, with the rest being charged extra?

    • @Passporttotravel
      @Passporttotravel  2 месяца назад +3

      At most all-inclusive resorts, there is a VIP section, that has a separate restaurant and bar for those that pay extra for it. And there might be an item or two on the menu that has an up-charge (but they clearly state how much it is). Like a premium steak, for example, instead of a regular steak. But for the most part, all the food places are included and all the drinks. Most all-inclsuives in Cancun have multiple restaurants, such as an Asian restaurant, an Italian, a Mexican, etc. And lots of bars. They try to provide variety so everyone is happy. I highly recommend this Marriott for quality of the food, and drinks. I didn't pay extra for anything.

      @@Passporttotravel Thank you for your detailed response! With all the free options, it doesn't feel necessary to pay for any upcharges/premium packages.
      Was there a drink/food limit, when you went?

    • @Passporttotravel
      @Passporttotravel  Месяц назад +2

      No there wasn't. You could eat and drink as much as you wanted.

    Did the hotel mention when the kids zone will open?

    • @Passporttotravel
      @Passporttotravel  Месяц назад

      No they did not. I would say they are close to completion, but I would email down to them and ask for a date, so that you don't make reservations and are then disappointed. It wouldn't surprise me if it was open this summer.

    Does this resort accept Mariott Points towards the resort charges?

    • @Passporttotravel
      @Passporttotravel  Месяц назад

      Yes you can use your points for this hotel.

    • @dtvrdik
      @dtvrdik Месяц назад

      Yes they do, and the best deal is if you have enough points to book at least 5 nights, you will receive one free night! But you must book whole stay paying with points only..,you will need around 320,000 points to book 5 nights, depending on season (points will be used to pay 4 nights and 5th night is free). I recently booked 5 nights for January 2025 paying with my points only:)

    Any nightlife entertainment at this location?

    • @Passporttotravel
      @Passporttotravel  Месяц назад +1

      Yes there is. Expect live music. We saw a band in the front courtyard, an also a children's faire set-up out there too. The hotel has a schedule that changes every night.
