This theme has a large sentimental value to me, PvZ 1 was the first game I beat on my own, and Zomboss's battle was so climactic, a perfect way to end the game, and his theme has so much hype behind it, even incorporating leitmotifs of previous songs into it to remind you "you've come this far, and there's no turning back now", it not only slaps, but it fits the game so well, especially by not being the stereotypical "heavy percussion, strong bass, powerful chords, and punchy leads and harmonies" giant robot theme. This boss is just executed so well, especially with Crazy Dave, your guide and most likely only friend, being torn away from you by a Bungee Zombie before he had the chance to tell you Zomboss's weakness, but you're still able to pull through, just by improvising, and just using what comes to you.

I remember fighting this boss as a kid in the car on my old crappy ipad. I was so proud of myself when I finally beat him. This brings back memories. Great remix man.
Yeah. I made a joke (which is now my own head-canon) saying that Crazy Dave made the houses and knew about the shit going on with the zombies, and decided while making the houses to reinforce them, therefor making both the roofs and the walls insanely strong. It's also that we have weak doors, it's just we are dumb enough to not close and then lock doors.
Fun Fact: Dr Zomboss’s weakness actually IS getting hit in the pancreas. In the comics, Crazy Dave’s niece Patrice Blazing punches Zomboss in the pancreas, making him collapse in defeat.
Before I remembered that pancreas does not mean balls, I thought "To be fair, in the webcomic "Sparkling Generation Valkyrie Yuuki", the main character (who got genderbent into a girl) still felt a groin attack when someone else was hit, so it's probably hard-wired into a guy's brain."

Y’know, out of context, imagine with me, if you will, that you and Dave are the last people that are still alive (a.k.a. not a zombie), and you’ve been bunkering down for days, if not weeks and months, and although Dave rambles incoherently, you’ve grown attached to him, he saved you from becoming a zombie buffet early on and provided weapons that have saved your butt, however, each night, before dozing off, you hear massive stomps outside, but even though you know whatever’s causing the sounds will probably be your end, you still accept it, after all, whatever happened before is now gone, and so is hope. Days pass by, and maybe weeks too, and the routine is always the same: have breakfast, head into the roof to look out for zombies, tend to the plants, go to bed, rinse and repeat, right? But one day, you find out that the zombies are becoming smarter, some of them begin using pole vaults, pickaxes, ladders, zambonis, even they seem to have started building small catapults. The days get stormier, the gray clouds form over you, and with that, comes your likely end: the zombies begin appearing on the rooftop. At first, you just stay there as they trip over the tiles, accompanied by Dave and a beer, maybe, but then, they get more resilient, more powerful, Dave begins calling them “Gargantuars”, and it seems like a fitting name for those atrocities, who smash your defenses and move onto the roof. You start panicking, but Dave comforts you, he helps you move on, he modifies the plant pots to stay in the wet roof tiles, and with that, you’re okay. As the days pass by, the pitter and patter of the zombies moaning slowly take a bite (pun intended) at your sanity, you’d swear you begin seeing a hundred houses tall gargantuar standing just out of your house, his head being hidden above the clouds, and you hear a “yeehaw” followed by the sounds of strings above the house whenever he extends his hand, which has attached small zombies that jump towards your rooftop. One day, you hear a roar in the middle of the night. Dave awakens, his eyes filled with fright. All he says is “He’s here.” he quickly leads you to the ladder in the backyard, and you both climb up to the ceiling. You weren’t going crazy. There was a giant gargantuar outside. Dave tries to remember something, he mumbles something about hitting someone in the pancreas, but dismisses that option. Just as he remembers, the giant extends his hand and out flies a zombie, who bites into Dave’s shoulder and ascends him into heaven, leaving only his saucepan behind. You put it on. He may have left, but he won’t be left unavenged. You rally the troops, line after another filled with a green army, aiming at the heavens. This is your last stand. You hear Dave’s familiar whisper in your ear, although you know he’s not there. “The Zombies... Are Coming.”

Oh my god, just- the Nostalgia...Plants Vs Zombies is legit my favorite game...Im almost in tears with how much justice you did this. Crazy Dave would be proud of you, NoteBlock. Just like I am.
Theory time: The reason why the character is fighting back with plants and not attacking them by hand is because they're actually crippled. They have a machine set up to plant the defenses, so he doesn't have to roll onto the lawn and risk getting attacked himself.
My personal theory: Crazy dave is perfectly capable of defending his own lawn, but he prefers to stay inside of the house and watch. The player is just some guy that crazy dave got to help him out Secondary theory that I just came up with: The player is defending their own lawn. Crazy Dave supplies him the plants (which is why he needs to buy upgrades from him) and the player plants them.

Plants vs Zombies was one of my first ever video games, and I am not ashamed to say that not only finally hearing this track again after all these years, but hearing an objectively better yet still faithful remix, it literally brought tears to my eyes. Thank you, NoteBlock, for this legitimate gift.

Incredible remix of an amazing, one of a kind song, boss, and game.
I had this on repeat while playing Dr. Zomboss's Revenge and it made the fight twice as good.
STOP. IT. YOU'RE. MAKING. ME. WANT. TO. REPLAY. THIS. GAME. FOR. THE. THOUSANDTH. TIME.
All halloween remixes so far have had small characters as their images. Coincidence? I THINK NOT!
Small characters?
@Dane Halter he is almost big has the plants
Actually canonly zomboss is like hafe a foot taller then a imp if you look in gw2 of the z academy map you can see that
Okay but what about zombot, hes like as tall as a skyscrapper
Despite my never having played this game, I really like the theme you put in this remix! GGs once again, NoteBlock!
You really gotta play the PvZ games, especially the shooters.
Man, so many memories..
@@Constantine_Cvl8 The shooters are trash. The reality is pvz original only.

Zomboss is way harder on DS. Actually the whole game is. The plants shoot slower and the zombies move faster.

Dave...our greatest friend, the one who lead us from death with plants on multiple occasions, nights, days,in the pools, and on the roof....yet at the finale of the nightmare,he was gone...we didn't even know his weakness, yet found a way to push through and find one ourselves...the battle and the effort was for you, dave
The part at 1:50 is beautiful. Shed a tear or two. Absolutely magnificent.
I love this song and seeing that others love PvZ to this day warms my heart and makes my love the franchise even more. LET THE PVZ FRANCHISE LIVE ON AND BATTLE ZOMBIES TO THE END OF TIME!
Meanwhile, Plants.vs. Zombies 2:
Monkey paw curls and PVZ3 is created.
Yes! I always love your PvZ remixes, and I can already tell that this one is gonna be amazing too!
Such an insane final boss theme deserves to have its turn to be remixed. And who better to do it then Noteblock. Amazing job as always!

ANOTHER BRANIAC MANIAC REMIX
Yes
Theory time: The reason why the character is fighting back with plants and not attacking them by hand is because they're actually crippled. They have a machine set up to plant the defenses, so he doesn't have to roll onto the lawn and risk getting attacked himself.
OH my Oh my OH my you broke Piglins brain
My personal theory:
Crazy dave is perfectly capable of defending his own lawn, but he prefers to stay inside of the house and watch. The player is just some guy that crazy dave got to help him out
Secondary theory that I just came up with:
The player is defending their own lawn. Crazy Dave supplies him the plants (which is why he needs to buy upgrades from him) and the player plants them.
@@nonsensicalhumanoid OK my theory but on zomboss
