As a drummer for several bands in my lifetime, I remember dragging my kit to and from many gigs. I don't play in any bands now, but I do enjoy jamming from time to time with other musicians. The best part is the jam spot is at my house, where my kit is set up and ready to play. No more dragging drums around for this old cat.
I hear you I’m starting to feel that a little specially in the winter time I think 2025 will be my last year for doing gigs and then just concentrate on the channel. Thank you for watching. Keep on rocking bro.
@@Johnnygigdrummer I love recording my own stuff now, as I can get around on guitars and keyboard as well. It's fun and I love creating my own music. Happy New Year!
Started playing out at 15, stopped at 62 too much work. Winter gigs were a pain, ice cold hardware, every piece out of tune lol . I still get offers but nah haha. Keep hitting things with sticks!
Ha ha I’m starting to feel the same way brother I hate winter gigs. I think this year 2025 will be my last and I’ll concentrate on the channel. Thank you for sharing and watching. Keep on rocking.🤘🥁
Yes I played for a number of years with a general business group. Played drums and did most of the lead singing. Eventually DJ's started taking more and more of the business. It's the nature of the business. Did DJ work too. Happy to see you're successful in getting gigs as a drummer. Have chops will travel. 😁😎
I totally get that all the moving and the hauling is not fun. I still consider it better than some jobs but yes I don’t like hauling all that stuff around. I’m hoping someday maybe this channel or something else allows me to kinda leave this behind that would be nice thanks for sharing and thanks for watching.
Haha I’m an honest guy. I think the most we had was about 20 people at one time but in Wis. if the packers play away on a Saturday night it’s a ghost town in Green Bay but if you get lucky on the opposite home games you meet alot of people from the other teams house is packed haha.thanks for watching Rick on 🤘
