We might not be top 5 in run D this year but I think we can still be top 15 with out LB's playing more of a roll. I'm excited for our D. Quinn will just need to make the throws and play off schedule better. Throw the wr open instead of throwing it where the play is called for.

@Brucev7 the large majority of major d1 signees in the secondary..wide receiver..or dB or Lb can put up those types of numbers running the ball in high school on athleticism alone..Position switches as a whole at the major college level rarely work out for the player...It's why he was a blue chip linebacker recruit as opposed to a rb recruit..
@@andyhastings4020it's an emergency move similar to RoJo, J. Whitt & Gbenda have made before. RB is an injury prone position, but it's tough getting 6+ guys willing to share the ball, so you're always at the mercy of the injury bug at the position.
@robh_tex no doubt..but the kid is the most athletically talented backer Texas has signed since Derek..Malik Jefferson was just fast...Doubt he ever gets a Game time tote though...And he is still a freshman..
That's why I have been telling everyone we will be fine at interior DL this year. For one, every season under Sark it's been the same Convo off season, and then we end up being jsut as good or better at that position. Two, we have alot of experiencd guys at that position. Three, we are better at edge this yr which helps that position out.
Ag here but I’m going to Ann Arbor with my buddy. Who else is heading to Michigan? Those tickets are pretty expensive just a bit cheaper than the ND TAMU game. That ticket in Nov at Kyle is going to be the most expensive ticket this season. Probably more than the National Championship game. Unless we play each other for that. Welcome to the bigs! Glad to hear “poor tea sips “ again this year for the first time in a long while! Gig’em BTHO nd! Yall BTHO Michigan!
been far too long. So happy the rivalry is back. I think the game in BCS might be our toughest this year....even moreso than Georgia. The hate is real.
What if Trey stays, thinking Manning starts 2 yrs, leaving with Trey a redshirt jr, what is his potential as a fourth yr jr with Sark? Off the chart, right
I still feel like many fans aren’t respecting the SEC enough and the emotions that surround every road game. Whether it’s a winless Vanderbilt, a 3 win Arkansas, or a Weigman-less A&M, Texas will still struggle to get to 10 wins next season. It took some late game heroics to beat TCU, K state and a ref assisted win against Houston, just go to 3-0 in those games. Texas would be lucky to go 2-1 down that stretch in the SEC. I think our fan base needs to humble themselves a little bit.
There is really no difference from a top tier team in the SEC or anywhere else....you will always have a top 3 or 4 teams in a conference and 2 or 3 bad teams with everyone else being average. You talk about Texas "Heroics" to best "average" teams in the Bigxii.....how about the 'Heroics" of Bama beating Auburn? Oh I get it.....that doesn't count 😂😂😂
@@thekey1682Thank you!! Georgia had some close games too last year...it happens. It's football. I get respecting every team, but they have to respect us as well.
TCU kicked a field goal with no time left to beat Baylor in 22'. They had some fortune to make the CFB. That's what good teams do, they find ways to win. Last year Texas was the way better of those 3 teams, they just didn't play well those weeks and I'm pretty sure Quinn was out for some of that time. I'm not worried about this team not being ready to play.
This team will not take a step back this year. Now if you are talking about position by position and can make a case is one thing. Too general of a statement after a scrimmage.
Thanks for the update. You guys are the best in the business! 🤘🏼

Gerry and Bobby should write a book reviewing all of these sort of views and ideas for each year.
It would be better than Paula Wadlington’s ‘stupid sheep man’s guide to Texas Football’.
I hope the guillete move is not permanent..He is the best athlete of all the linebackers.

Agreed, I think in time Guillette could be an all sec player..He will definitely be a problem in the future!

I'll be there. $1200 per ticket. Look for the fat guy wearing orange on the 30 yard line Michigan side. Enjoy the game! Can't wait!
The only problem I see is getting time to switch guys on the field during the game against teams that run a faster pace offense.
Luckily the SEC doesn't run as much hurry up offense like the majority of the big 12.

Yeah I know....beating that SEC champion last year in their house is probably no easier than beating Vandy on the road....GTFOH😂😂

And don't be surprised if Aggie is good. They got rid of the "ego" coach. They have a good staff. They still have some good players
This team will take a step back this year. Too young. But 2025 with arch will be the best Texas team in 20 years
We shall see!
Have to have a much Improved DBackfield. An Improved PRush will help.
