    if you ask me the Habs already have their 2nd line Ctr with Suzuki. Cause Micheal Hage is coming. This kid will not play 4 ncaa yrs!!! Ive watched this kid since his GTHL days and Hage was the best player in the best youth hockey league in the world for 3 straight yrs......That means for 2 of them he was younger then 100s of older kids and still the BEST. I see so much of Jack Eichel in his play. All eyes are on Demidov but it is crazy awesome the Habs have these 2 kids coming

      Interesting perspective, nice to hear from someone who seen him in the gthl, he seems like he has it all can’t wait for him and Demidov

      He's playing College hockey, we don't know if he will be a top 6 right now. He's not playing top players in the world.

      Caufield, Suzuki, Dach excellent 2nd line if you've got Hage centering Demidov/Slaf

    The second Flames goal was brutal. The Montreal player "up high" decided to practice figure skating.

    About Granlund, I don't think it's wise to make a move right now. Not many teams are going to be sellers so early on and they're going to make Kent Hughes pay big for that top 6 player.
    Let's be honest, the habs are not in the "mix" right now and things would have to change drastically for them to be.
    Remember the goal was to be in the mix this year. The way I see it now is we all, including the habs' management team, overestimated our crew to start the season. Now, there are some obvious reasons as to why that are coming to the surface now. We lack experience and stability on the 2nd line.
    The objective could still consist of being in the "mix". All Kent Hughes and St-Louis need to do now is to adjust to the reality that we're not ready right this moment, at game 14, to be in the said mix. Facing this new reality, let's adjust expectations.
    Why not let the players evolve and keep learning until the deadline, acquire a good, experienced top line center who wants to play for Montreal and THEN try to be in the "mix" taking only in consideration the remaining games to the season? Why not just do as if we are starting anew from then and see if we're in the "mix" over that last stretch if we are realistic about not being ready to being in it now?
    It's an example, but just imagine. The Penguins are in a situation where they either sign their 37 year old star players in Crosby and Letang and try to make a few last pushes, sacrificing the already poor prospect pool they have, until those 2 retire OR they take advantage of their prolific careers and still very good abilities to change a game by themselves and they trade them for good prospects and picks!
    That said, Montreal would need to trade some salary the other way. Some names we could trade; Dvo, Armia, Anderson. Does Montreal really need Mesar, Beck, Reinbacher in the future? If MTL tanks again this year, their 1st rnd pick has value, so does the 2nd rnd pick.
    Just an example, but I'd see that happening over seeing a "Grandlund" trade before christmas!

    No trades please. last top 10 pick for a decade is not a bad thing since Demidov is not even here yet.

    Granlund is too small, sadly. We need big guys especially in the playoffs.

    • @BEYONDYOURIQ

      Exactly, and that is also why they need Arber Xhekaj...and should play him 20 + minutes/game to develop him

    They need to throw our goalies down to Junior. These two can't steal a game for the life of them. They need to learn to save a puck again. Bring up the rookies.

    2nd & 3rd periods we were out classed , out worked , out played & out hustled again !!!! this is st louies layed back, lay on the ice, lay an egg style of play that will get us top 5 draft picks for years to come!!!

    • @heyoou
      @heyoou Час назад

      almost seems like we're being trolled. They play the best 1st period of the season followed by the worst following periods. To a Calgary team on a losing streak. How is it that they keep getting outshot almost every game by a lot. Opposing players always open to shoot or finding open teammates.

    • @markorr999
      @markorr999 5 часов назад

      Dvorak is out for the faceoff only (just like last OT) Nothing wrong with Matheson out to start the OT

    • @bedbath9056
      @bedbath9056 2 часа назад

      Ya agreeed with @markorr999, the main reason Dvorak starts OT is to win the faceoff. As soon as he gets chance he swap.

    Granlund? He is nearly 33. Pass. Typical of Marinara throwing out asinine trade ideas
    Gallagher is on pace for 31 goals. Is he going to maintain that pace? Maybe, he definitely has to stay healthy

  • @oldhab7890
    @oldhab7890 6 часов назад

    There were no positives - we lost!!!! Moral victories are for losers. If we do not see improvement by the 30 game mark, there needs to be changes.
    Lane Hutson is not doing anything that produces a win so maybe some time in the AHL would help him develop a professional offensive game.

      Matheson is horrible , can’t stand watching his defensive liability play. Get Hutson on PP1

    • @mamagne800
      @mamagne800 2 часа назад

      Xhekaj has no slack with MSL. Hutson, Matheson and company can do turnovers as they wish with no consequences. Must be very stressing for Xhekaj to always play with a guillotine over his head.

    MSL is garbage never liked offensive players that become coaches since they know nothing on how to play defense and win Cups. There's a reason guys like Gretzky and Lemieux are lousy at coaching. Still can't believe the Montreal franchise never brought Larry Robinson back home, he could turn our defense into top 5 in the league, a guy like Guhle would become a Norris contender with Robinson as his coach.
