I Left Ezoic Forever - And Here Is Why You Should Too

- I recently left Ezoic Ad Network by disabling it from all of my sites. Ezoic has become pretty bad in the last 7-8 months, and they're becoming worse every single day. I was very happy with Ezoic in the beginning, but recently, their services have been pretty bad, ads load very slowly, RPMs seem to be lower than on Adsense, etc.
Maybe it's just my opinion and my situation. Let me know your thoughts.
Ezoic ads make my website look like a spammy website. Their "Placement Service" puts ads all over the website. Even their "Ai placeholders" sucks. I do want to make more money but not at the cost of making my website look like a ad billboard. When their charity ads load, they put small ads on a big size placeholder and users need to scroll through massive whitespace. Also their is no option to close the anchor ads when the charity ad loads. Also they don't respect the ad size I selected. If you look at website with adthrive ads, they look professional. Ezoic needs to focus on ads more instead they are focused on so many other things.
Glad that we share some of thoughts. If you select AI Placeholders or enhanced placeholders, they won't respect the ad size. So, if you want them to show ad size that you picked, you should disable AI and enhanced placeholders (which I always had disabled anyways).
But yea, I agree that they should concentrate on ads only.
@@petardzi have already disabled their Placement Service. I though the issue was because of their caching. i will try disabling ai placeholders.
I agree. Massive whitespaces is what I hate.
I am also thinking of moving away from Ezoic.
I was thinking about trying Ezoic but this helped my decision. I read through all the comments. Thanks for sharing your experience. I see many are having the same issues.
What are the alternatives for ezoic?
Stick to AdSense for the time being, I have tried many methods but no improvement and I am planning to leave Ezoic now@@shikos2005

Hi mate, well, if it's been only a week, try contacting support. Maybe not all DNS servers are loading correctly. but if that continue happening, it might be the best to switch back to Adsense, but try reaching out to support first.
Same story here, completely screwed up my websites, everything has taken a hit and I've been with them for years. Just a thought, I remember way back when , I had to set up access within my Google Adsense for percentage or access (years ago, can't remember the exact details). What I'm worried about is that if I move back to Adsense, are they still taking a percentage from my adsense? I know its more likely to not be the case, but would like to confirm.
I remember only having to be a part of Google Ad Manager, but not access to adsense. When you turn off ezoic, they can't do anything anymore.
Thank you for your video. I only used Ezoic for a while and RPM was good compared to Google Adsense. However, it messed up my code (I used a static website), which took me forever, but I was still not able to fix it. I had to remove the code to fix the layout problems. My traffic drops around that time, but I'm not sure what the real reason behind the dropping traffic 😮💨
Hi mate, sorry to hear that. The same happened to me but I'm also not sure about the traffic, what's the exact cause haha. Look, at least it's better for UX to have the code removed.
Did you use ezoic leap or something? That's what usually causes troubles.

I got rejected for ezoic. Now what am I supposed to do with DNS server names which I changed for ezoic approval?
This is another thing that sucks with EZOIC. Even before your site is approved, you need to change nameservers :o

Same here. I am wondering to stick with it until I reach Mediavine threshold or leave them now. Half the rpm vs last year.

I agree, serious issues at ezoic. I also want to leave it but stuck due to premium membership agreement, the biggest mistake of my life.

I was thinking Ezoic is the best over Adsense but here is another point of view from you, I have the same goal with you, if I left Adsense for Azoic, it's all because I want to increase my ads revenue and not for any other things, I will sit down and think about it again before I move, thank you.
Well, why not trying it? You have nothing to lose. Maybe it will be better for you. But from my experience with current situation at ezoic, adsense is better

Ezoic are now allowing advertisers to discriminate against content creators based on their ethnicity, gender, etc.
The are allowing advertisers to specify DEI.

Ezoic leap should not be used with wp rocket plugin. Either use ezoic leap or wp rocket
I'm leaving Ezoic too. One of the main reasons is the cancellation of affiliates but now Empv is super low, so I'm trying adsense again.
Rpm on my adsense is the same and sometimes higher than on ezoic, so just go ahead

recently am try ezoic but there so much time to take a approval. am cancel it and back to my adsense, the main reason is the pagespeed is way become sloowww....
The only problem i got with them was on name servers, i applied for their ads and they told me to change my name servers and i did so and then after i got rejected, so then i had to change my name servers back to to the default ones, yet during that process my website was not accessed in some areas, so thats the only thing but then i withdraw after got rejected

Yes also leaving Ezoic for all the things you mention and it just makes your site look messy and spammy as hell

Well, if you're willing to try Ezoic, of course, go for it. The purpose of my video is to introduce everyone what could happen, maybe it was just a case for me. Try it out, compare with adsense and pick the better one.
I will try mediavine but second option for me is monumetric.

You just need to change your nameservers back to your hosting and remove ezoic plugin from your site. That's all. If you don't know how to do it, just Google "how to change name servers".

Hi, I used WP Rocket. It's the best for me so far. I tried W3 Total Cache, Wp Fastest Cache, Litespeed, and a few others, and WP Rocket is the best. But it's paid only plugin.
So to properly disable ezoic is to change name servers to your own host?
Currently i just didable ezoic through the dashboard. I wanted to run a week long expirement tò see if my traffic increases.
Yes, the only way to disable them fully is to change nameservers to your default nameservers. As long as nameservers go to Ezoic, all the traffic to your website will still be intercepted by Ezoic.

Please my Adsense got approved under Ezoic mediation, if i stop the mediation and close my Ezoic account, will my Adsense that was approved under Ezoic mediation be closed too?
Your adsense account will not be closed, but you will probably have to set up ads on your website again. Didnt have that case so i am not 100% sure.

@@petardzthis is really eating up my mind. the site toggle button that always shows in every AdSense account isn't visible in my own Adsense dashboard because it's Ezoic that's handling it so do it mean. Do it mean I still need to add my site manually again?

I don't know what's the exact issue, but they aren't anywhere close that they used to be. No hate to them at all, but this isn't worth it.

My RPM's went from 12-17 to 3-4. Dismal. Very dissapointed.
Similar happened to me and they never had a proper answer to why that happened. I saw some other accounts that didn't have that problem, so really don't know what's going on. Seems like they were playing eny, meeny, miny, moe and pick website that will have lower RPM haha.
Maybe. They haven't really given me a straight answer either. In response, I disabled some of the more annoying ad types because I figured the earnings weren't worth it anyway. My RPM was unaffected by disabling the vignette ads, for example. Now when I ask them, they say it's because I've disable vignette ads. When I show them the data, they have no response.@@petardz
My main problem is Ezoic trying to get all the traffic through redirecting even the nameserver to them.
Not even adsense requires that much power given to them.
That's my main issue with them and a few others, I moved back to adsense.

Don't know the reason, but even on Adsense earning are pretty low nowadays. They switched to CPM model only, might be the reason.@@mikeeenyinnaya9

Hey, yes. I dont plan on switching to anything better until my sites go above 50k pageviews, or if i start to having some problems.
Wp Rocket plugin is not recommended to use with Ezoic. Maybe that was affecting loading times. Also are you monetized with another company? And is your website receiving more traffic now with the change?
Leap wasn't doing its job so I installed WP Rocket and reduced loading times but not enough. Now I'm on Adsense, no changes in traffic
What software you use to record
I use OBS for screen and microphone, and phone for recording myself.

@@shikos2005 i use davinci resolve for color correction, and then edit in filmora. For microphone, i use fantech leviosa mic.

When I first joined Ezoic, earnings were 30% higher than those of AdSense. But with time, that difference became like 10% at max, which isn't worth it considering how spammy Ezoic ads looked and how they badly affected the site speed.

@@Mia-cutee I don't have too many alternatives, and adsense at least doesn't break the speed of my website.. If I'll ever be able, I'll apply to some better ad network. No, adsense doesn't have video ads. I think Google Ad Manager should have that..

The reasons, I am planning to leave Ezoic because of a huge drop in traffic and page speed. Page speed has been awful.
