This is really helpful, I'm self learning rn because my school expect us to know this kind of stuff cause they assume we all know this fundamentals. It's kind of frustrating that they expect us to do things that we are not taught of. Wishing everything goes back to normal this kind of virtual set up is killing me.
Dear Dr Ruzaimi .. wished u (+youtube) were around in the mid-80's .. i would hv enjoyed my architecture more .. scaled 1-point perspective like above would hv been enough for me to avoid all the struggles on crit days .. Go Dr Ruzaimi Go.. I BELIEVE THAT LAMY HAS TRAVELLED THOUSANDS OF KM TO DRAW PERSPECTIVES .. hehe & tQ to Themodmin too!!
Hey great video. I appriciate the effort. My suggestionis that you make a video on composition. Like which work and which don't and why. Also some examples would be great. All the way form Tanzania.
This helps me a lot - just one thing that is puzzling me - how does he establish the 2 meter mark for the couch? Is that eyeballing it? Is there anyway you can be accurate about establishing the length of an object going back in perspective?
Can you please make a video on main furniture measurements..(like: tv, cupboard, bed, etc..) with(height, width, depth)..it will be really helpful for students like me.. Thankyou...
+marie s this was just a quick demonstration by dr. Ruzaimi that he did in 10 minutes when he came by to our office so it's ment to show the technique plus it's still a perspective and the point is to roughly estimate and not be so precise

Of course, but architecture is a job where scale and size of things are really important, spaces are Design in the purpose of being lived by people, I meant by that its really important to demonstrate size as it is, especially in drawings ! Our job is to pratice our mind to be used to scale so that we use that skill to Design space and volumes.
Because it was actually the goal of that video : the scale, I thought it would be important to tell precise scale, at least closer as possible from what is drawn. Sorry if I seemed too sarcastic before.
+PhantomWowfull i understand your point and i appreciate you pointing it out however this video is to demonstrate the technique of using scale in sketching and sketches and especially perspectives are to communicate and not to be used as a technical drawings its the feel and keeping in mind that scale is something to be considered to make it easier for beginners to draw a perspective 😊
Thank you guys for watching its almost the end the year 🙌 we'd love to hear your suggestions and recommendations for next year 🤗
Can you show us the same technique for two points perspective in bigger scale, like grading a group of buildings with imaginary box technique

same with my school :((, they just give us books and expect us to become professionals at the end of the week.
@@lunarity1564 lol you get books
Nice work my friends...cheers...

This is awesome. Thank you!! Blessings from Oklahoma, USA.
Hello fellow Oklahoman!
yow you are a gem, if the prof's in my university teaches like this kind of vibe maybe we will rate them higher
That is a nice video. I very much appreciate that this gentleman took the time to demonstrate and explain this process. Thank you.
Very educational demonstration. Always like traditional freehand design drawings.
I miss this kind of tutorials on this channel tbh.
Thank you for making this video ♥ It'll really helps me so I hope you won't stop doing such vids ♥
Thanks for the video. Very useful !

Nice examples of prespectives
This is very helpful. Thank you for uploading this video. Please do more videos about perspectives.
Please make a video about drawing perspectives using plan.
oh thank you! totally forgot what I studied :')
Can you please share what type/make pen Dr. Ruzaimi is using and what kind of ink he is using. Thanks.//Chuck
What kind of pen u use? Quite thin nib
@themodmin very good tutorial ..will you please upload more related to two and three-point...like this..it will be helpful for us...
Lol I was hoping this vid was gonna reveal the results and the theme for this month's competition. :3
That Chic Called Hannah that will be coming out today
What pen is that? Safari or All-star?
I like ur videos, but can u add captions so I can understand more clearly?
If the box that you've started with is 3*3 m, why isn't it a square but rectangle?
(I'm not talking about depth here)

hi .. as per title - a scaled 1-point sketched (not drawing) perspective, therefore, it is still a sketch but with some form of scale .. to +marie
Interesting z
Lamy Pen
3m that ? .. first mistake this is pretty much 4 xD

wrong method and wrong way .
Jesus christ. Use a damn ruler.
Wtf that’s not even needed in architecture it’s basic it’s not art bro
