Rachel: “what are those?!” Morgan: “they’re hair pins” Rachel: “do they work like staples?” 😂 Bernadette: “I don’t use a hairbrush” Me: “I distinctly remember her using a brush in her hair video”
When I was a kid doing ballet, we would always use U shaped hair pins to make our chignon. They're pretty standard in france, although they're no completely straight, the edges are a bit wavy like on a standard bobby pin.
I was mostly smiling but not totally in laughter when the video started, but the moment Bernadette announced that "I don't even use a hair brush. Good luck!" in 2:03 I completely lost it.
I am impressed that it haven't ended like a total disaster, your hairstyles turned out great for not having a clue how they are made. I wish I had hair as thick as yours Morgan, it has such a good fluff. I also would like the length of Bernadette's hair, thank you very much, and the skill of not using hairbrush, TEACH ME MASTER! :D
The closest you could get to the no hairbrush without the genes for it would be to get that Japanese hair straightening treatment (aka japanese straight perm or rebonding).
I have 3b curly hair (tight ringlets), I don't own a comb or brush either! I finger comb my conditioner through in the shower and don't ever have knots! Thin and fine hair FTW Also - I haven't shampooed my hair for a year. Conditioner only, no silicone ever touches my head
I find keeping it braided helps. If I braid it before I go to sleep after it's been braided all day i wake up with very few tangles a a lovely wave to my hair.
I truly envy every single person on this planet, who doesn't need do even own hairbrush. My GLOURUOS hair left alone after shampoo wth sls, sles without all this and really good hair conditioner, still need another one jojoba oil droos
I’ve done Morgan’s signature look a number of times with both long and medium hair, and it’s way easier with longer hair. That’s probably why Rachel was struggling! This was a fun video. Love all these ladies!
I'm shocked that Bernadette and Rachel don't know what U-Pins are, they are the MOST useful things! I think Bernadette had the biggest challenge because making pin curls with long hair is just ridiculously difficult
Brnedette looks so sweet and charming with that hat:) she’s usually so elegant it was so cute to see her looking sweet and cute rather than statuesque and elegant ( which is still stunning )
It was so much fun to see you all try on the others hair styles. I think you all did very well with just supplies and no instructions to go on. Late Victorian/ Edwardian hair looks good on you. Also....Mary Poppins hats for all. I am so glad you three got to spend time adventuring together.
I don't know about anyone else, but Rachel asking, "What are those!?!", sends me back to Shuri screaming that at T'Challa in Black Panther over his sandals 😂
Bernadette: "What if your hair is longer than your arm?" Me: glances over my shoulder at my 4 foot tresses... "Yeah...same." Also, Bernadette, how do you NOT brush your hair??!! I'm sure there's probably a historical reason, lol.
Some people is blessed with hair straight and slick, which will not keep a curl... I do not have as long hair as Bernadette, but it looks like we both have this thin thin hair that don't need a hair brush. I used to be envious of girls with curls in their hair... Now as I've become older I'm just glad I can skip conditioner if I want to.

Such lovely lovely ladies- oh my goodness! I really love seeing the younger generations reviving older things from the past (saying this as an older person who has collected antiques, textiles, estate jewelry, buttons, dolls everything and sewn historical clothing - and collected them) it’s just wonderful to see!
Fun fact: Many kids in New England as young as 4th grade actually have a school field trip to Boston, where you WALK the entire freedom trail (2.5 miles) and end at the Washington state monument. I would know because I was one of these children.
I managed to do a proper middle 19th century up-schwoop for my step-daughter’s Peter a Pan themed wedding. I was in a moving vehicle, in the front seat, with only the passenger mirror. I was very proud of myself. And it lasted the whole day and evening!
Watching you has brought home to me that there is no reason whatsoever not to celebrate clothing, style, and being fabulous at all moments of the day... to show up for myself as much as you each do for yourselves. Thank you!! 💖
The different hair lengths omg! Lol. I think the only way this could work (maybe?) Is Morgan does Rachel's, Bernadette does Morgan's (the braid wrapping requires length), and Rachel does Bernadette's (that style is ok for medium length). Such a fun collab! Love it
My thought, it was a bit unfair in a way for Rachel to have to attempt a styl her hair simply is not long enough for, but I think that they did not thought of it
I used to have hair down to my back side and would do all three of those hair styles regularly. They took many hours to learn, but with a lot of practice I could have my hair done in 5 minutes without a mirror, utilising three pins (both kinds in this video) and a tonne of will power. It takes skill, well done!
Hair clips for me - The kind that you would use on a bag of chips but with teeth. Ponytails break my hair because my hair is so fine that I have to use a lot of pressure with hair ties.

Having seen each person’s hair tutorial videos previously.... this was an amazingly humorous adventure to witness. You all are beautiful and precious and we don’t deserve you. 🥰
This was hilarious!!! There are tears in my eyes watching you all navigate each other's tools and hair styles. Bernadette being so confused about the hair tie, Rachel's fear of the hair pins. Morgan, your hair looked so elegant in Bernadette's style! And yes, Bernadette, those pin curls are adorable! I love your signature style, but I would really love to see you rock Rachel's look again some time!
I thoroughly enjoyed this! My only wish is that we would have gotten to see each of you redo your own hairstyle after to show us how it is meant to be done and so we could understand the mistakes.
I’ve decided to grow out my hair and you all have given me hope that I can find a style that will suit me once my hair is long enough to be worn up. Thank you for that! 💚💙💜

Bernadette: “I don’t use a hairbrush” Me: “I distinctly remember her using a brush in her hair video”
When I was a kid doing ballet, we would always use U shaped hair pins to make our chignon. They're pretty standard in france, although they're no completely straight, the edges are a bit wavy like on a standard bobby pin.
Yeah, I was confused too when she was confused about the pins. For me, what else are you supposed to use?
Wait. There is other types of hair pins ???
@@auroreimbert6451 Jup! Modern ones, the u-shaped ones, even screw-like weird ones!
I was mostly smiling but not totally in laughter when the video started, but the moment Bernadette announced that "I don't even use a hair brush. Good luck!" in 2:03 I completely lost it.
I love how you guys cannot resist supporting each other.
Bernadette looks literally *GORGEOUS* with her hair down omg
Thin and fine hair FTW
Also - I haven't shampooed my hair for a year.
Bernadette's hair is probably very fine and silky, she can just run her fingers through it. My hair is like that too, no tangles but also no volume.
This is girl culture at its finest in a way I can’t describe
6:12 anyone with this length of hair can relate to Bernadette at this moment . Trust me....
Omg thanks 💙
Oh yes... totally relate to this🤣
Yes 😂😂
Honestly I should try that sometime
I've tried so many times, aaa
"I have achieved one pouf."
All together now: "Yaaaay!!!" 😂❤️
I'm crying, this was HILARIOUS! True friendship is the gentle soft roast that comes with swapping hairstyles and having NO idea what's going on....
And the random breaking out into singing “the cats in the cradle”
Bernadette's change in expression when Morgan shifted the hat down is a mood! Such a cute video
ah the timeless motto of ‘sisters, not twins’ for when stuff is just, close enough
I don't know about anyone else, but Rachel asking, "What are those!?!", sends me back to Shuri screaming that at T'Challa in Black Panther over his sandals 😂
Bernadette: "What if your hair is longer than your arm?"
Me: glances over my shoulder at my 4 foot tresses... "Yeah...same."
Also, Bernadette, how do you NOT brush your hair??!!
Yeah if I braid my fine straight hair before sleep after taking it out ... the only brush I need is to change the direction it’s going in
For the same reason she uses that powder...

@@theedwardianwriter I had hair as long as bernadette until last summer and if i were to braid it over night and open it the next morning it took me about 5 minutes to brush everything out
Such lovely lovely ladies- oh my goodness! I really love seeing the younger generations reviving older things from the past (saying this as an older person who has collected antiques, textiles, estate jewelry, buttons, dolls everything and sewn historical clothing - and collected them) it’s just wonderful to see!
This is easily THE most excited I’ve ever been for a collab in my life.
Fun fact:
Many kids in New England as young as 4th grade actually have a school field trip to Boston, where you WALK the entire freedom trail (2.5 miles) and end at the Washington state monument. I would know because I was one of these children.
This may possibly be the most adorable thing I've ever seen :3
I managed to do a proper middle 19th century up-schwoop for my step-daughter’s Peter a Pan themed wedding. I was in a moving vehicle, in the front seat, with only the passenger mirror. I was very proud of myself. And it lasted the whole day and evening!
When my husband next asks me what women do when they get together I am going to show him this video 😂❤
Watching you has brought home to me that there is no reason whatsoever not to celebrate clothing, style, and being fabulous at all moments of the day... to show up for myself as much as you each do for yourselves. Thank you!! 💖
My three favorite historical youtubers, in one video. I'M IN HEAVEN!!!!!
I am 52. I LOVE what you three are doing, expressing your style the way you all do. I'm enjoying your videos!
The different hair lengths omg! Lol. I think the only way this could work (maybe?) Is Morgan does Rachel's, Bernadette does Morgan's (the braid wrapping requires length), and Rachel does Bernadette's (that style is ok for medium length).
Such a fun collab! Love it
I feel like they deliberately rotated them the other way for the extra challenge...
This was a joy to watch, and reminded me that costube is indeed the most wholesome youtube community.
Bernadette's laughter is so contagious, I love it! So nice to see this less curated side of her, although I love her own videos too.
I struggle every day with my hair, then give up and put it in a low ponytail. Thank you for teaching me new things! :) All three of you are fantastic!
Hair clips for me - The kind that you would use on a bag of chips but with teeth. Ponytails break my hair because my hair is so fine that I have to use a lot of pressure with hair ties.
Courtney Osborn out of curiosity, have you tried spiral hair ties?
@@LuisaH2022 thank you!
I love learning new styles for my hair I’ve got a project trying to do every hairstyle from the long hair community forums lol
@@dumbdumb8526 they are to big for fine hair
“Oh no, I’m going to have to change my part” was a mood
2:27 Casual Star Wars reference from Rachel, I love THAT!
Morgan: "- Looks like an S-curve"
Bernadette: "- Just like the rest of my life"
Me: "- Mine too, girl! Mine too!"
This is so wholesome
Best thing I've ever seen🤩
Now we just need a video of them showing eachother the proper way to do the styles!
One of the best collabs in RUclips history
I love how Morgan comes in at the end like the mom. "WHAT ARE YOU GIRLS DOING IN HERE?"
There is a reason those two don't have ASMR channels. 😂😂 All though, I do tend to treat yours and Bernadette's videos kinda like they are. I love rewatching your guys videos at night when I am trying to unwind before bed. Both of your guys videos are not only interesting and informative but also calming and relaxing to watch. 😊😊
I absolutely need more content of the three of you being beautiful and supportive and historical and cute together!!! I am weeping at the wholesome friendship vibes!! 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
No one:
My last three brain cells during my World Lit exam:
There's just too much loveliness in this video. Also, as someone with short and thin hair (I kid you not my hair hasn't grown in 5 years despite not cutting it), I'm so envious of everyone.
I once bought some hair pins like Rachel's ones, I thought they would be good for picking locks cause they're so thin but they turned out to be too flimsy.
What kind of pins do you use now?
@@noomre9105 regular bobby pins, or little bits of plain wire.
@@ivygilliam5168 thank you
@@ivygilliam5168 as lock picks or for hair styling? hehe
@@lb2577 who says it can't be both?
I literally have never seen anything as cute and wholesome as you three. And I'm not even a girl but now I want to learn to put up my nonexistent long hair 😄
Having seen each person’s hair tutorial videos previously.... this was an amazingly humorous adventure to witness. You all are beautiful and precious and we don’t deserve you. 🥰
Can you link me to Morgan's? I can't seem to find it.
Rachel's hair is so pretty.
And then there's me, the history bounder with green hair in a lesbian haircut 🤣
wonderful
I bet it looks amazing
You three are all so beautiful and amazing. Thank you for the goodness of historical hair options
Oh what fun to see you three together, and trying each other's hairstyles - brilliant! Love June's Journey, too, I play every day.
I wish they'd do one where they actually taught each other how to do their hairstyles. I feel like that would be equally as fun.
My fav's all in one video, what a blessing
This video is adorable!! You three look like you're having such a fun time together!!
Rachel needs to wear braids like that more often, she is ADORBS! Put her in a kirtle!
That was fun to watch. Y’all looked like you were thoroughly enjoying yourselves.
I started giggling seconds in and didn't stop the whole way through. You all did a great job and are so adorable!
I’ve decided to grow out my hair and you all have given me hope that I can find a style that will suit me once my hair is long enough to be worn up. Thank you for that! 💚💙💜
Bernadette at 2:42
"Don't be suspicious, don't be suspicious..."
I love the energy between you girls. You seem to be genuinely enjoying each other's company. This is adorable, wholesome gold. 💛💖 That squeal when she put on the hat was so cute. 😆
Rachel: what are THOSE ???
Bernadette: just like the rest of my life
Morgan: see: MY hairstyle is easy, isn't it?
Yeah, I knew this collab was going to be amazing but also I need to try all of those hairstyles right now.
