That's easily one of the best interviews they've done on IKMY - that was fascinating. Bertolt Meyer is awesome, and it was a really thought provoking conversation. Bård showed such wonderment - it's always fun watching them interview someone that's out of their wheelhouse.
Interesting. I really like how Meyer doesn't make a show of using elevated technical terms, and on the occasion that he does, breaks it down in a way that is easily comprehensible. I of course, love and welcome the idea of such technological advancements that may aid those who are disabled, but Meyer raises an important point about the ethical implications if it were to be used for aesthetic purposes as opposed to solely increasing functionality. Btw, thank you (:
That's really interesting. If they have apps for hand gestures is seems to me they could give the prosthesis a wristwatch type thing so he wouldn't have to dig out his phone...
Californication252 I would say they speak very good English, passable Spanish, horrible German, and have memorized a few key phrases in other languages.
talkingbowl doesn´t Bård also speak French (at least better than German ^^)? Their German consists of a few words, wrong grammar and the promo-text+phone number of an old German sex-hotline :P
This reminded me of the game 'Deus Ex - Human Revolution', which is about exactly what they're talking about here; a future where artificial limbs compete with and outperform original human limbs, and people replace body parts in order to be stronger, faster etc. Here's a trailer/teaser that was released prior to the game's release: /watch?v=UG_oThcYsn0 That's CGI and science fiction though - now it's becoming reality, as this Ylvis clip shows. :o
i love the idea that Meyer doesnt want to hide his robotic hand.

Amazing technology. Fun to see Bard and Yegard inquiring about this wonderful hand.
Whoa! My favourite doctor Meyer and The Ylvis in one video! I just love them all
As I said on my FB Wall: 3 wonderful humans talking about wonderful thing in human history, period that I am very much glad to be living in...
That's so interesting! I want to see the hour long interview Bård wants to make. Bertolt seems like a great guy.
Charliemissen yes me too!😊
This was fascinating! I'm glad there are inventions like this! :)
The clip is in English from here onwards: 0:40
Their accents are so cute. :D

That hand looks so cool
I love this guy he seems so brills bells!
Leave it to Bård to make his guest flip off the audience. XD

is Bard setting his fingers at 5:42 to "flipping the bird"?
Yes, yes he is. XD
talkingbowl oh okay xD
DANG!! these brothers seem to speak many languages WOW!!!
They don't seem to be as comfortable in German as in English, though.
it´s like "we can in England to make the interview spoken?!" ;)
They can't speak German :D
