The bigger lesson is to go over with your friend how important it is to flip it over once it does and not assume? Your friend probably feels like crap over something that could have been easily avoided.
Let my 19 yo niece ride our GTX 170 last summer with two younger kids. Thought it was not tippable but instructed her on how to roll it back over if she did. Glad I did. While stopped, they all leaned to 1 side and rolled it over. They eventually got it turned back over and also got it started. Lesson learned. ALWAYS give safety instructions to newbies. I can deal w/ a sunken ski but would never forgive myself for any lost lives.
Should've probably taken him on a less aggressive ride for the first time to just get him used to everything. If you both are jumping waves and other fun stuff he's gonna want to do the same. I think if I'm ever bringing friends out on a Seadoo I'd be going over an hour long "How to" before the ride. Maybe even have them hop on the back of one first to show them the rope and then have them drive with me on the back. Glad everything worked out well in the end though
Damm his friend must be feeling like s*** for something that should have been explained before use... 2 minutes of safety comments before the ride could save a lot of issues.
recently got my seadoo gti 130 completely soaked. I just flushed oil, took out sparkplugs and cranked the engine to push out water on top of the pistons. New sparkplugs and new oil we were ready to go! these motors are incredible.
@@DjghostyMusic my oil looked good but the filter had some water in it so i decided to change for good measure, i bet they are reliable though! honestly seadoo is the only thing i have owned so im a bit biased but thats why the main skis i see are either seadoo or yamaha
@@ShredShack yeah same, I generally just get back and flip as fast as possible just to be on a safer side. I once had some oil burn off after flipping once when it was upside down for 15 seconds, very small amount but no one wants to see blue smoke coming out of their ski 🤣

Absolutely

GTI’s are not powerful they are a very good ski for beginners but I prefer a rxtx to start off
Good to see the ski ripping around and healthy
Reading your owners manual is a good start. They also tell you not to jump waves. Its hard on the mounts. But hey its your equipment. Have fun.
Might want an aftermarket bilge pump for situations like this
Great advice!

nah that's my guy, it is all good. But yeah a safety briefing is recommended
Bruh the ski doo in the video of the flip is a different jet ski
Thought the same thing dude
Looks like a spark to me as it's way smaller, and there is no 'sunk' footage either. Typical RUclips clickbait.

wait till you see a yamaha, way more reliable, don't even have to flush if your oil looks good
Nice work! My gti also runs well now too. They did the same plus boiling out the inside.

@@ShredShack im glad bud, motors are very well made and can handle a good bit of abuse but i try to take care of mine even though i can be a noob
Sick new intro
Thanks dude
Puts 87 in brand new jetski
Team seadoo 👍🌊🌊+1abo
yes sir
Love the intro!! Shame for the ski, I've always wondered how long they can stay upside down for
Yea I flip my spark over quite often and never have an issue. I’m guessing after 1-2 minute mark, it starts to go downhill

That’s why I’m scared to buy a brand new sea doo
So it wasn't the carbon seal which most people are afraid of, it took on water because it was upside down for too long. Runs good now though
Shred Shack Ik your suppose to replace it
Then buy brand new Yamaha and don’t let ppl that don’t know how to ride
Ocean Guy I have 4 brand new Yamahas but I like how sea doos look
Drayz if you like em buy em
Glad she's back from the dead
I missed the part where it "sunk"?
:/
Halfway submerged but I did not record it because I was little in the moment. The foam inside the pwc actually prevents it from fully sinking.
Halfway submerged off camera or the seadoo sunk? We’re confused, that’s all :)
Putting 87 in a seadoo? Nothing less than 93. Dam bro
Not true....only the 300 requires 93
Only supercharged ski’s require 93……300’s are the only supercharged seadoo’s
At least you lol !!!
Seadoos are on the lower end when it comes to a sturdy frame.
Especially if seadoo. Mine sunk and saw two others. Buy Yamaha. Yes it cost a little more but ya get what you pay for.

Sunk sink sank...... Yours SANK... not sunk... Thats so bad it hurts my ears.
Did you just use regular gasoline? I’ve always used the high octane gasoline since I’ve owned my seadoo
I use regular but my friend uses premium for his super charged seadoo
I know this is a old video but the lessonb is ... 2 things you never loan out , Your girl or your ski becaused they will both come backed FU@@ED ...😅
Why did it let water in the engine bay??!seals not good seat clips too loose..
No seals oN seats??

Is that the gti 130?
This dude flipped it for 3 minutes and didn’t have a life vest!?
Road to 1k next?!
Isn't that a GTR 230? You call it an RXT in a few videos.
The blue one is a rxt 230, same color way that year but different hull
@@ShredShack Oh, nice! Now I know :D
Is this the 130hp or 90hp
130 hp
Damn how much did it end up costing to fix
Dealer charged $440.00 to fix it. There was also a broken motor mount but that was covered under warranty
@@ShredShack motor mounts go all the time in the ocean funny thing is its not from up and down movement on all brands, its side to side. Get poly mounts
Why does the seadoo have a coolant jug if seadoos use the lake water to cool engine? It has both? How would that work?
Lake water only goes through the exhaust. Closed loop cooling is used to cool engine. The ride plate is the heat exchanger.
@@GBsPitstop how often do you fill up the coolant?

Did you not watch all the water coming out of the gti? I just didn’t film the gti flipping.
