Allah Praise is due to Allah Asalam Alaykum It is a sunnah for men and women to have there nails cut. It is not in good hygiene to keep them long this is not the way of the beloved Prophet(SWS). So please Brother Habib cut your nails. This is a must before entering the Masjid for the Jummah prayer. Jazak Allah Khar.
Brother habib? He is a very high level Shiekh. Don't belittle our ulama. He has naturally very long fingers which gives the impression of long nails. This Shiekh will know the Sunnah better many times over than you my friend. One of the great Sunnah is to not look for shortcomings in others. Allahu'alam
Wa alaykumusalaam wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuh, I pray all is well. Although your comment is 7 years old haha subhanallah, just wanted to comment for others that maybe our beloved Shaykh Habib Kadhim was abstaining from cutting his nails because he intended to sacrifice an animal on Eid. Maybe he traveled and forgot, Allah Hualam. The stories of the Awliyah and the Saliheen practicing Husna Dhun that our beloved Syedna Rasulullah (S) instructed us to practice are incredible, and in this situation it is much easier to apply. Although your comment is very gentle, perhaps its better not to highlight that for others to see. Surely Habib Kadhim knows the Sunnah of cutting nails. Jazakhallah Khair
May Allah, glorious is He, bless and protect the Haba'ib. Ameen. JAK for the video.
