Thanks man, I love your content. I've always felt sketchy on rehypothecation like Aave does, especially when its done multiple times, bouncing assets back and fwd like the big banks were doing leading up to the GFC. Spending twice seems kinda bullshit and bound to blow up.
Thanks for the explainer on Eigen layer. My bias means I'm feeling sketchy again. This time with Eigen it sounds like not only does the individual investment risk stack like you'd expect, but it makes crypto more interconnected and introduces a kind of direct systemic risk between networks, like some bullshit blockchain crashing would cause other blockchains to crash. Not sure what I'm missing. Will read Vitaliks post for sure.

Yeah, as much as he is saying you are not personally leveraged, you are. And you are inflating the entire system with this leverage. Liquid staking tokens are borrowed tokens. You are not using the same resources twice, you are counting the same resources twice. Now I think that leverage in a financial system is useful thing, but the tragedy of the commons means that no one will feel individually responsible when they try to panic recover $1000 and cause a $100,000 reduction in usable value and that action is propagated over 50,000 users.
