    My daughter and I just flew to Orlando on Frontier. We had a heads-up about the baggage, so we were prepared and our bags fit, but our backpacks were small and we had to layer our clothes 😂 next time we fly, we're going to get two suitcases from takeoff luggage, which are supposed to fit, plus the vacuum air bags.

    I just got back from 10 days in London, I only ever travel with a personal item backpack. You did a great job, and you’ll get better at it the more you do it. My big tip for taking more clothing is silk. It’s self body temperature regulating very light and can fold down to nothing. I buy mine at thrift stores. The trip I just got back from (including what I wore on the plane) I took 3 pants, 1 leggings, 1 skirt, 1 pair of tights, 3 long sleeve shirts, 4 sleeveless or short sleeve shirts, 1 long sleeve cardigan, 2 pairs of shoes, and then socks, underwear and bras. Also took a trench coat.For reference I’m 5’ 10’ and weigh 190 lbs. I love traveling personal item only! It’s so much less stressful for me. No waiting for checked bags or having a bag go missing (which happened to both my mom and aunt on our return flight, they always check).

      Thank you so much for watching and the tip! I'm not going to lie, it was pretty nice just having a personal item on my trip!

      It's all good until you are six-foot-five 285 lb. Then you check a bag

    I flew Frontier to Denver last October and I feel your pain!!! I would have preferred Southwest or United, but they were either more expensive or didn't have a direct flight. As I've stated on other sites, the nightmare began after I booked my flight. Originally, I booked for Thursday Oct. 6 with a departure at 2 pm. This would have allowed me to get my dialysis treatment, eat something and have plenty of time to get to the airport and I would have arrived in Denver at a reasonable time. Instead, over a 3 week period, the departure times kept changing and getting earlier and earlier; forcing me to re-arrange my treatment day and time. The flight left at 5:45 am, which mean't that I had no time or opportunity to get breakfast before boarding. On the plane, there was nothing to eat but brownie M&M's. I realize that this is a low cost carrier but why not have breakfast sandwiches or at least bagels and cream cheese? I had to wait until we landed in Denver to get breakfast at the airport McDonalds. Another issue was the fact that you can only book a reservation and check in online. As hard as it is to believe, there are people who don't have computers or smartphones, either because they can't afford them, or the technology is too difficult for them. I grew up in the 70's when getting a reservation mean't going to a travel agent or shockingly, showing up at the airline's ticket counter and buying one. Technology is fine but make allowances for those who don't have access to it. The seats were cramped and uncomfortable. I've had more legroom on a SEPTA train. ( SEPTA) is Philadelphia's mass transit system. The flight attendants were friendly, professional and tried to be helpful but I won't fly this version of Frontier ever again. They should study the original version of Frontier. It was a much loved airline and many were sad to see it merge with Continental. The airline business is a shell of it's former self. It's not fun to travel anymore.

    Everything has its first time. Practice makes perfect 😊. The more you practice minimalist traveling with the right bag size to avoid those silly airline baggage policies. I’m a blogger and I always escape paying check-in luggage fees.

    I have not flown Frontier but they do have cheap flights, I have flown Spirit and only do personal items and even with other airlines I try to pack only carryon with a family of 5, I love bodysuit, I can wear them as a layering piece or tank top and undergarment, I usually take 2 and wash the bottom part in the sink and air dry to get more days of use, I do not take pajamas, just leggings or shorts that I can use the next day for an activity or a loose tshirt that I can double as an outfit with my leggings or biker shorts, leggings are lightweight and dry fast too

    I just traveled Frontier . I was not able to make it. I packed heavier clothes due to climate and had to pay. Lessons learned. I will not be using this airline any time soon.

    I heard they charge $100 if you have to “push down” for your bag to fit🥲 fingers crossed my bag gets through.

    • @vanessawanders
      @vanessawanders  Год назад +7

      If it’s a struggle to push down, I can see why they would automatically assume it doesn’t fit. If I were you, check to see if your personal item fits at the check in gate before going through tsa. Then you can rearrange it again if it doesn’t fit. Also, a hard push and pull from those bins might get you through! They just want a speedy and smooth boarding. I am hoping your will be good to go! Thanks for watching! -Vanessa

      There is NOW a 100 Million dollar class action settlement against Frontier! I’m a big fan of theirs, and have over 15,000 fly miles! It sounds like they have modified the personal item check box at the Gates!!!! Shame on them😮

    This is my first time on a plane and I'm taking airline I really appreciate this video because now let's plan on taking three bags because I'm moving back to Florida but looks like I have to just downsized just for one bag I can always buy closed I work most of the time that I usually just in my work clothes everyday and how much was your sitting by the window??

    • @vanessawanders
      @vanessawanders  Год назад +1

      If you book early you can choose your own window seat starting around $12 and up. My window seat specifically cost about $30 because you get more space for your legs and you get to be near the exit of the plane. I definitely suggest you purchase your window seat now to save money! Have a wonderful safe trip!

    I know it may sound gross to some people, but for a 4 day trip, I wouldn't bother washing clothes, I'd re-wear my outfits and wash it all when i got home.
