Riverside Esplanade Intramuros: A New Jewel Along the Pasig River
The Pasig River Esplanade Phase 1C, a significant component of the 25-kilometer Pasig River Urban Development Showcase Area. Located in Intramuros' Plaza Mexico and Magallanes Drive, this project is a cornerstone of the ongoing "Pasig Bigyang Buhay Muli" initiative.
The newly completed esplanade is a modern, one-story structure with a rooftop deck offering panoramic views of the Pasig River. The ground floor houses leasable commercial spaces, while the rooftop boasts a combination of walkways, bike lanes, and viewing areas. The structure is designed with sustainability in mind, incorporating renewable energy and eco-friendly practices.
This development marks a major milestone in the revitalization of the Pasig River, transforming it from a polluted waterway into a vibrant urban space.
The new esplanade provides a pedestrian-friendly pathway, commercial zones, and green spaces. It is expected to boost local tourism and economy through food and retail stalls, walkways, bike lanes, and boardwalks.
While a few food stalls are currently open, more cafes and restaurants are expected to open soon. The finishing touches on the Western side of the Esplanade are also underway.

Yung mga unusable spaces like under the stairs dapat eclose nalang yan. Titirhan lang yan ng mga tao o kaya gawing palikuran o tapunan ng basura. Ang daming mga spaces sa liblib na di nman magagamit. Dapat ecemento nlang.

Marcos pagkatapos ng pirmahan ng agreement sa Malacanan. Mahirap ipag invite ng foreign tourists yan kung ganyan kaitim at kadami ng basura. They will not appreciate that kahit maganda ang esplanade. Sana. Huwag munang i compare sa venice yan nung ibang vloggers. Pagtatawanan tayo pag makitang ang dumi ng ating ilog. Ang mga nagtatapon ng basura sana ay tumigil na. Sayang ang effort ng gobyernong pagandahin ang bansa natin kung hindi sila makikipag cooperate.
